Cabin vacation rentals in East Cook

We loved our stay at the cabin! It was clean and the kitchen was fantastic. Shelley was proactive in communicating what to expect. The hot tub was lovely, and the perfect way to relax after hiking around the local Provincial Parks. This was perfect for exploring the Thunder Bay area!

We stayed at Nord Hyyt for the first time this April and it did not disappoint. Chad and Jennifer were welcoming, knowledge, friendly and timely. Their rental was beautiful and uncomplicated with everything we needed for a wonderfully relaxing stay. The woodfired hot tub and sauna were an especially amazing addition to the relaxing location. We would love to stay again in a season that has more to offer and explore outside of the rental. But this trip was all about relaxing and catching up with family and Nord Hyyt was perfect.

This Airbnb was a perfect place for a larger group due to the spacious and well planned space. Everything was high quality and felt built to last, which seems rarer and rarer nowadays. We used the pool/hot tub and pickleball facilities. Pool+hot tub were a nice size and there was plenty of seating. We enjoyed the pickleball but the paddles did seem aged. It would be nice for the resort group to implement self check in for the ease of the guests but Crystal at the front desk was a friendly face.

This was such a comfortable and cozy place to stay. It can get cold at night on the north shore in October, but a nice fire in the fireplace kept the cabin warm. The cabin is right off the road but perfectly secluded and private. There were a lot of nice extras like books, games, etc. I will most likely stay there again in the future. It was perfect!

The location and scenery are incredible, just like the cabin itself. From the start, we were blown away by the serenity and beauty of this home. With the beach adjacent to the property, it’s a perfect place to relax both outside and in. The interior is just as wonderful as the environment outside, which only makes the entirety of the location better. Sitting on the shoreline n the brisk wind to have a hot sauna waiting for you is about as good as it gets. The instructions for checkin and checkout were clear and easy to follow, along with the directions left throughout the cabin for the fireplaces and other amenities. It made the stay easy and worry free. It was a wonderful weekend at a wonderful location! Thank you for the much-needed getaway!

What a great place, right on the lake and stocked with anything you may need. The views were beautiful and we felt right at home!

This cozy cottage is the most peaceful little hideaway from home! It has everything you need for a short trip. My fiance and I enjoyed our stay with a lake view out of every window. Nice private lot to bring your dog along. It's close to all the must-see spots and the beach across the street is worth a visit.

My husband and I loved our stay! The cabin was so cozy and cute, and was remote enough for us to have some privacy, but also close enough to order food from restaurants or go to the general store if needed. Perfect weekend getaway!

My partner & I are up north multiple times each year, and stay at different places -and this cabin was by far one of the best! We were not left for wanting a single thing, except maybe to spot a Fox! The cabin was immaculate, cozy, beautiful, and presents even better than it reads. 12/10 and we will definitely be booking a repeat stay. Owners are kind, helpful, and responsive. If you haven’t yet stayed here, you must.

This cabin was an incredible stay. My wife, dog and I visited for a long weekend and it was exactly what we were looking for. Very private, surrounded by beautiful nature. My wife and I both worked remotely, and the setup worked perfectly (ample desk/table space, fast wifi). Eagle mountain was just down the road, which was ideal for some memorable winter hiking!

What a beautiful cabin to spend a weekend of snowmobiling. A great place to come home to after a day on the trails. Trails were fairly accessible and space to park was adequate. Would highly recommend

This was the perfect place to land at the end of a day of adventures. Comfortable beds and a quiet place to rest and enjoy the area.

This place was amazing! The view was unbeatable. We happened to hit it during peak Fall colors and during a local studio art tour- what a treat! Lots of parks and hikes around! Sunrise!!!! Restaurants are plentiful in Grand Marais. The shower situation and outhouse was a little less adjustment, but we made it all work and it definitely wouldn't keep us from coming back! In a sweet way the privative living made us appreciate our lives more and added to the experience! This place is just perfect. Plan to carry your trash out! What a treat!

Wow, this cabin was an absolutely perfect winter stay. We were looking for a peaceful winter retreat tucked into the north woods, and that is exactly what we got. The cabin itself is an incredible mix of modern and quaint and was extremely cozy; the hosts were extremely responsive and helpful with local recommendations for snowshoeing and cross country skiing; and the town of Grand Marais has so many spots to try. By the end of our weekend, we were all talking about how we'd love to come back next winter and how this was our dream cabin. Highly recommend!

My husband and I loved staying here for our anniversary trip and we were thankful to be allowed to bring our dogs here as well! I loved how peaceful the area was and relaxing in front of the wood burning stove after a long day of hiking. I do wish there had been a curtain over the window where the bed is as you can see another cabin from it, but other than that, no complaints. We definitely plan on staying here again!

We had two families stay together and felt like there was plenty of space for everyone. It is a short drive (~5 mins) to/from Lutsen Mountain so was an ideal place for us to stay as an alternative to a ski in/ski out option. Nice big entryway for all our snow pants, jackets, ski boots, etc. The place is very well kept and clean. It was great having a bathroom on each level. There are lots of stairs - main kitchen is on 2nd level and main TV watching area is on 3rd level - so something to keep in mind. The house is located on a very quiet road. There were several deer that walked through the yard that we could watch from the windows which was pretty cool. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful location, and amazing cabin. Everything is as described and host was very responsive. Definitely need 4WD in the winter, as stated.

We loved spending Thanksgiving weekend on the Lake! the cosy cabin with the warm fireplace was the perfect place to celebrate as a family. Plus have a few great saunas! Thanks for having us!
