Platts' Place Retro Retreat

The guest suite is located on the first floor of a two-story subdivision home. The suite is separated from the rest of the home by a locked door (both sides are locked.) The private guest entrance is at the back of the home. People live here though, so plan on a little noise transfer from the street and home. Parking is on site. The space is pet free, but guests are welcome to visit our pets if they need to cuddle some fur babies.

Very roomy. Loved the screen porch in the evening. It was nice to have the children play out in the fenced in yard. I would definitely stay there again when we come to visit. The only concern was: the driveway was a challenge during certain hours of the day.

This was our second stay here. Host is always easy to communicate with because each time we have to extend our stay, and they are always glad to accommodate.

A comfortable living space features a dark sectional sofa oriented toward a wall-mounted TV. A round wooden coffee table sits at the center, complemented by a small potted plant. Natural light filters through a window, highlighting a dining area with black chairs.

Dan’s stay was wonderful for our weekend trip! They allow dogs which was a huge plus when deciding what stay we wanted to pick. We didn’t have any issues during our stay. We did have technical problems with the lock on the front door that was no problem of the hosts. You have to make sure you don’t pull the door too far when closing it or the lock won’t register because it hits the lip of hole for the lock and it comes back unlocked. Additionally, like most older homes I have been in around the area, sound does carry through the home. If you are traveling with others and require more privacy as far as sound goes, it would be the only thing to note, but was not a big deal for us. It was only an issue for us when my dog would whine when we left (separation anxiety while traveling). Otherwise, I would definitely recommend this stay and Dan was a great host. It was exactly what we needed for the weekend, just as listed, and was in the perfect location for our plans and then some

We enjoyed our stay at Faith's home. Faith was very responsive and the house was exceptionally clean and located in a nice, quiet neighborhood. It made for the perfect stop for our family on our road trip to the beach.

The entrance features a red front door with the house number displayed. Two potted plants frame the doorway, and a welcome mat lies on the porch. Two chairs surround a small table, providing a cozy seating area. A garage is visible to the right.
