Adam's place was perfect; exactly as described, clean, smelled great, and very cozy. The bed was extremely comfortable with great linens. The loft was perfectly located for my son and I to take a day trip to Allegan Event, Michigan's largest indoor ropes course. It is was also located only about 20 minutes from Kalamazoo, which made for another great day trip. We were looking forward to checking out a few of the local spots located right below the loft (Mezzo Coffee House and Maude's Taphouse), but they weren't open the days we were there. That's pretty typical of a small town on a Sunday/Monday, though. We should've known better! I would recommend anyone to stay at Adam's place!

We were attending the Alpaca show at the Allegan Fairgrounds and this was a nice place to get away for a break at the end of a busy day. Great little cabin in the woods on the river! Relaxing views and close to town and local restaurants. A nice and relaxing weekend

Hi! Stayed several nights. The traffic isn't really noticeable in the evenings or at night but you are right on a cross light corner. In the village so walkable with sidewalks and blocks of neighborhood, corner stores, small businesses. House IS creeky. Took a couple nights to get used to the constant adjusting the house does. If you appreciate older homes, you will like it! Otherwise, had everything I needed for a work stay and more, I felt comfortable and slept well. Safe area (grew up around there). Thanks!

My friend and I had the privilege of staying at “A Step Away” for three months. The experience was a delight in so many ways. The airbnb was perfectly situated: right in the middle of Saugatuck and also across the street from a park and near the water. There were many unique restaurants close by that we enjoyed. The Christmas decorations around the town made the experience even more exceptional. The house was cosy and very well furnished, from the fully-equipped kitchen to the comfortable bedrooms. We had all the comforts of home and valued the many personal touches around the house that made us feel welcomed. It was also lovely sitting by the warmth of the electric fire in the evenings. Christian and Richard were wonderful hosts: helpful and responsive. We didn’t have many needs, but when we did they were dealt with promptly. We had our two dogs with us. They loved and didn’t want to leave —neither did we! Thanks to Richard and Christian for creating such a memorable experience
