We loved this beautiful cottage. The setting, views and space itself are stunning. It’s peaceful and we loved the fact it’s at the heart of a working farm. The cows and sheep were adorable.

Everything was fantastic. David was very responsive and gave us lots of good recommendations. The house itself is beautiful - very secluded with beautiful gardens. It was also huge and great value for the price we paid. Thanks very much Alistair

A great place to stay for a small group/family gathering. There are 2 living rooms and outdoor space so room to spread out. We loved the hot tub! The hobbit house is a cool addition with fairy lights, a Bluetooth speaker and is very well-insulated so warm even without the central fire going. The house has beautiful views and was a lovely place to relax and be cosy on rainy days. Only a short (15 mins) drive to the small towns of Kirkcudbright and Castle Douglas, Threave Gardens and the Kite feeding place at Laurieston.

We had a beautiful stay at Zounish's cottage, which was even more gorgeous than the pictures! We were lucky to have sunny weather and enjoyed walking into town and visiting the shops & cafes (our favourites were Cafe Ariete and Lothlorien Antique & Collectables Emporium). The location was easy to get to by foot, but a peaceful distance from the town. All we could hear from the garden was the little lambs baaing and birds singing!

This was our second lovely stay at Gina's and we had a great holiday. Moniaive is a beautiful little village and the cottage is perfect- we even had some sunshine this time so could enjoy the garden! Gina is a great host and made sure we had everything we needed and very kindly left us a little gift to thank us for rebooking. We would love to stay again- thank you Gina!

What a beautiful house in a beautiful peaceful location. From start to finish Haylie has been nothing but helpful and kind. We were celebrating my parents golden wedding and the house has helped towards creating lasting memories for us all. Highly recommend 😃

We had a wonderful stay at 59 Kirkgate in Dumfries. Ben and Vicky’s communication was excellent—friendly, helpful, and responsive. Their flexibility around our arrival and departure was much appreciated. The cottage is beautifully appointed and extremely comfortable, with standout beds that made for restful nights after active days outdoors. It’s a perfect base for exploring Dumfries and Galloway, from coastlines to hills. We especially enjoyed the Multiverse, which Ben and Vicky kindly recommended. The cottage has everything for a relaxing break—well-equipped kitchen, thoughtful touches like a gin trolley and milk frother, and a cosy log fire. The central heating kept things toasty too. Our dog was also warmly welcomed, with bowls and a pet-friendly vibe throughout. All in all, 59 Kirkgate is a true home away from home. We’d return in a heartbeat!

We stayed here on our way to the Highlands as a stop over and it was perfect. There was myself, my partner and our 9 year old daughter. Deborah was very welcoming to us after such a long drive, she had prepared a lovely lunch of sandwiches and cake for us and left some milk in the fridge for a very welcome cup of tea and coffee. The place was spotless and had everything we could possibly need. The weather was not fantastic but in the summer the garden would be lovey to sit and relax in. The highlight for my little girl was the jacuzzi bath which was fantastic! The place was very cosy and we easily could have stayed for longer had we had more time in our trip. The beach was very close which was much appreciated by our dog Bella. We will definitely consider staying here again on our next trip to the Highlands.

Amazing place to stay. I’d give it 6 stars if I could. Liz is very responsive and extremely kind. Seriously one of the best places I’ve stayed. I’d highly recommend this place to any friends or family. A+

We loved the privacy of the place, no people around just nature, gorgeous view from kitchen/room, visiting squirrels, robins and hares. Very very clean, have everything you need. Mattress is too soft for us but that's all we didn't like. Close to explore all the lovely lakes for walks. Local pub only 10mins walk through public footpath, friendly welcome there as well. Overall fantastic long weekend there, thank you both !

A wonderful few days stay in this property which has great character and outstanding views. The weather was sunny so we spent many hours sitting/reading on the balcony or the settee looking out to sea. The location is great with easy access to local walks on the beach, the woods on the other side of the road or a few hundred yards to the Eco Forest project which has an excellent cafe. Very dog friendly with walled garden. Easy check-in and welcoming hosts. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect setting for pristine accommodation. The 'container' lodge was impeccably clean, very fresh looking with a cozy but modern vibe to it. Living area sliding doors are a nice touch, well equipped kitchen and all necessary utensils available. Another nice touch was how good the shower was ! The simple things in life ! Hot tub and fire pit area well thought out for both privacy and protection from wind on breezy nights, and like the inside of the lodge also impeccably clean. Highly recommend for escaping from the world for a few days, and will certainly look to book again . Every part hassle free and communication of instructions & help couldnt have been better. A well deserved 10/10

Nicky and Steve are very friendly and helpful hosts. Location is very peaceful with lots of character. Great location for exploring the area. We played golf at Glenluce and Newton Stewart, and there is lot more to do in the area. Pool table very good to have available on the day of torrential Lounge area is very comfortable. Would recommend to anyone wanting to visit the area.

We had a great stay at Alan’s Campsite, he was extremely friendly and very responsive. The cabin was clean, spacious and comfy, and had everything we needed. The hot tub was full and heated when we arrived, and Alan even provided us with firewood for £5. The scenery was beautiful and we definitely lucked out with the weather but I’m sure it would be a great stay either way! We highly recommend to anyone wanting a comfy and peaceful stay, hopefully we will be back soon!

Absolutely amazing stay here, just what we needed to get away from city life, scenery was beautiful, hot tub was amazing, very clean, we just loved every second of it, we didn't want to come home! Thank you Catherine for having the prosecco and banners up for us on arrival , it was a lovely suprise for my partners birthday. We will definitely be back!

We had a fantastic time there! The level of comfort is 11/10 ✨ The place is so beautiful, all the details! Vinyl set a nice mood! Birdwatching is incredible here, we made a wee woodpecker friend hahah so pretty! The super king-size bed is amazing! We were looking for a place to chill and relax, and it was just what we were looking for. Easy to get a taxi there from Ayr.. and you have anything you need in the room. The wood fire outside, watching the moon and hearing the stream flowing by! 🤍🤍 Adam and Katherine, Thank you for creating this place and sharing it with us! You made it very special.

Mallard pod was lovely as pictured. Cosy with everything you would need, loved the fairy lights inside, and outside lighting looked lovely on the nights. Staying during hot weather, the pod can get quite warm, but a very good fan was provided which kept us nice and cool. Bed was very comfortable and the area is nice and peaceful so slept great, there was lots of storage space underneath the bed which was handy for luggage. We also used the firepit outside on the evenings which was great. The bathroom block is really spacious and clean, and the showers were powerful and stay nice and hot. The only thing to mention is the WiFi extension in our pod didn’t seem to work very well, but it wasn’t much of an issue as still had a bar or 2 of signal and could connect to the main WiFi in the shower block nearby. Quite a few flies when hot as mentioned but curtains mostly kept them out of the pod so didn’t bother us personally. Also loved the birds and kitty on the farm! Loved it, thank you!!

Great wee place for a nice, relaxing, peaceful stay. The cabin is well equipped and very cosy. Hosts were very helpful and made us feel welcome.

Such a wonderful stay at Jeannot's place. Perfect location with lots of wildlife and a great base to tour the surrounding area. Wish we could have stayed longer so will definitely return. Comfortable and cosy cabin with everything you need. Very secluded and off the beaten track which we absolutely loved. Really is a little piece of paradise. Just beautiful 👌 thank you Jeannot and Fraser.

Can’t recommend enough! David was soo lovely to talk to literally made us feel at home, very comfortable! I would 100% be coming back in the summer to experience the better weather! The pod was so cosy and lovely I actually wanted to move in there haha! It was amazing !!!!! Thank you so much for having us
