Cottage on the river Ayr with Hot Tub

Lakeside Cottage is beautiful, peaceful, steeped in history & easy to access once you know where it is, we drove past it 3 times lol. We were greeted with gorgeous fresh flowers in each room & a very tasty bottle of prosecco. Most Definitely will be going back at some point in the near future & can't recommend it enough as a quiet getaway - listening to the river Ayr was blissful!!

RachaelRating, 5 stars2 months ago
A great getaway with loads to do close by for whatever mood you're in - great towns and cities like Calendar and Stirling less than half an hour away, equally beautiful countryside and multiple waterfalls, lochs and walks to choose from on the doorstep. Our toddler loved the on site swimming pool and the grown ups enjoyed the peaceful views from the hot tub too! Rosie was so friendly and accommodating.

Pippin - Peaceful Scottish Cottages & Hot Tub

TinaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
An absolute stunning break, our third time here. A quiet, comfortable home and a spectacular garden space for my autistic son to be himself, and my 3 Chihuahuas felt like they were in heaven. The hot tub was well used, even my elderly mum had a go. We had some lovely visits to the surrounding areas but mostly enjoyed the rest and relaxation that we all needed. We can’t wait to come back again.

Dog friendly, Country cottage with Hot tub

BettyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We absolutely loved staying at the cottage. This was our third place during our Scotland trip and I am so glad we booked it. It allowed us to explore more nature scenes across Scotland and simply have a safe and comfortable home after exploring all day. If we are ever in Scotland again, we will certainly book again.

A Cozy Bothy Retreat with Hot Tub!

SamanthaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Was very happy with our stay here, The evening with the hot tub was lovely and private, everything was clean and well presented. There was games left in the house for our use and we got use of these. The instructions before arriving to find location was helpful although the postcode in Apple Maps did take us straight the correct location which was great. Overall we were very pleased with the whole experience and would stay again. The added bonus was the hosts had a new puppy and we got to meet this beautiful fur baby on checkout.

2 bedroom renovated barn with sea views

ElaineRating, 5 stars1 week ago
David’s place is breathtaking! The views from every room are stunning. It’s out of the way up a farm track. It’s very comfy and super clean. Thats the upside of the “no dogs upstairs” policy , which is in place. It’s a place which will remain in your memory forever…. West Kilbride town is also a joy. The artsy side of Scotlands’ Craft Town, the fabulous red coffee shop, the Kandy bar bakers, Climies butchers and the greengrocers shop, all on the main street… makes you feel like you’ve stepped back to a time pre supermarkets. The town park is fabulous. You can walk from the town all the way down to Seamills beach, walk along the beach and then cut back up to the main Street where The Barony Arts Centre and cafe is also well worth a visit. All in all a wonderful place to be. An exceptional air bnb in a great little corner of the country. Loved it.

The Lodge at Duchray Castle

RosalindRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This is a beautiful little cottage with everything you need at hand. The house is well equipped, with comfy beds, a cosy fire, beautiful garden bursting with flowers and even a treehouse and a swing. There’s hot water in the shower and I had time for my first bath in months. There are generous chickens and sweet Highland Cows, a games room for a rainy half hour before tea and once you’ve emerged from the 2 mile, privacy ensuring, private road/drive, so much to do. Aberfoyle is charming and full of the things you need (as well as some you just want) and then glorious walks, castles, lochs, views and general good times unfold in front of you. Highly recommended. (Oh - I forgot Amy - Amy’s communication is unfailing prompt and helpful. Thanks Amy.)

Moray Cottage, Gargunnock

PhilippaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a wonderful stay at Moray cottage. The cottage has all the comforts of home in a lovely village close to Stirling. The local pub , 3 doors down , served delicious meals and there is a well stocked co op close by . David went above and beyond to make us feel at home . After a long days travel we really appreciated the breakfast supplies and yummy biscuits. And when we left helped us out with luggage storage. A big thank you for that. This was a very peaceful place to return to after busy days exploring .

Paula was an excellent host and the cottage was was beautiful as pictured and described! She was so sweet to greet us as we arrived and show us about the property and cottage to ensure we were settled. We only stayed one night to be close to Glasgow Airport, but we loved our stay. It was very comfortable with tons of amenities, including complementary breakfast (excellent eggs, toast jam, oats). In the morning, she made sure to say goodbye, which was also very sweet. I would definitely stay at the cottage again!!

This property was the perfect 5 day stay after 16 days of a long road - train - air trip - this was idyllic - nothing was missing and all was in the right place - Liz makes the business of hosting spotless - we could not think of anything that the cottage missed and that is the hard work and magic of her hostess - we were really lucky to find it - and follow all of her recommendations - hands down - lovely refuge.

A peaceful get-away in a secluded and beautifully decorated cabin with lots of attention to detail, set in a lovely area to explore. There are some wonderful places nearby to visit, in particular St Kilbride Bay which is outstandingly beautiful. We had it to ourselves the afternoon we were there and even managed to see it in the sunshine. We also very much enjoyed our trip to Bute and had excellent Tapas at Tide & Thyme in Kames. We very much appreciated Heather’s friendliness and recommendations.

Cosy rural lodge, on a farm with an open fire

SophieRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This is the second time we have stayed here and we loved it just as much the second time round. We are a family of 4 with a 4 and 6 year old and the house is perfect for us. The best view accompanied by chickens and ponies on the doorstep! It's a great base to explore the loch and beyond. Highlights include a local walk to 'the island', climbing Dun na Cuaiche and a ferry over to Kerrera from Oban for a walk and cake. Highly recommend!
