So glad we found this amazing place! It is nestled off the road in a quiet, beautiful location. The downstairs area is spacious, with a pool table and a dart board. The electric fireplace was such a nice addition for the colder than usual evening. Penny was such a great host! Fun filled fact- the space is filled with such pretty photos. I was so interested in them that I looked up the photographer and turns out it was Penny! I ended up purchasing a few pieces and I can’t wait to add them to my space at home! The place was beautiful, well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, and offered stunning views. Emily was a thoughtful host—she had arranged firewood for the fire pit and stocked the kitchen with a great selection of coffee and other essentials. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, making our stay even more enjoyable. Would definitely recommend for a peaceful and cozy getaway!

Perfect Spot for a Girls’ Getaway! Four of us girlfriends stayed here for a weekend and had the most wonderful time! The space was bright, spacious, and beautifully decorated—exactly like the photos. We loved hanging out in the cozy living area, sipping coffee on the balcony with lake views, and having our own comfortable rooms to unwind. The location was ideal—peaceful, yet close cute local cafes and shops in the neighborhood. Everything was clean, well-stocked, and felt super safe and welcoming. We couldn't have asked for a better stay. Highly recommend for a girls’ trip or a relaxing escape from Toronto!

Some places are just houses. Others hold space and pause. From the first moment we walked in, "The River Retreat" welcomed us like a warm hug. My siblings and I came here to honour the one-year anniversary of our mother’s passing, and it ended up being exactly what we needed. Peaceful, cozy, and full of thoughtful touches. Every room, view, and amenity gave us a chance to breathe, reflect, and spend quality family time together. We tried all the amenities, including the hot tub, canoe, kayaks, fire pit, and pool table. But our favourite pass time and location was definitely the home cooked meals around the round table overlooking the river. We left feeling full in every sense. Thank you Marlene and Morgan for being such fantastic hosts! We’ll absolutely be back.

My family and I stayed for the May Long weekend. The place had gorgeous views, great amenities and a welcoming atmosphere. Communication with the hosts was easy, and they made us feel very welcome. The organization is evident, with a QR code leading you to a guidebook and easy info for wifi access. We loved fishing off the dock, the gorgeous fireplace in the main living room, and a stunning loft where I could work on my novel. There is a varied bookcase full of select authors from several genres. I will definitely consider coming back soon! The place is close to both Perth and Smith Falls, so there are plenty of options for day travel for those who love local shops. Be mindful that the area is woody and rural, so frequent tick checks/ mosquito repellent is a must!

It’s a really good place , photos do not justify how good the place and experience we had. Good well maintained outdoor space, fully equipped kitchen , very big private space.

We had such a great stay!! the flat is so cozy, you feel like you’re at a cottage in the country - but downtown is a quick and lovely walk away. Would definitely stay here again. We had a great stay! The check-in and check-out instructions were very clear and easy to follow. The space was clean and comfortable, and the location was fantastic for what we needed. The bedrooms did run a little warm, but there were tower fans to help circumvent that and keep things comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!

This was such a lovely place to stay in. It was comfortable, clean, had great amenities, parking was convenient. Mohammad was also such a great host! We checked in late, and Mohammad still welcomed us, and gave us a tour. He was very responsive through the Airbnb app too. I strongly recommend staying in this place, and if I have the chance, I would definitely stay here again!

I stayed here before and, as said in my first review, I'm happy to come back whenever I'm in Calabogie! Check-in is easy, the place is clean and it has everything you need to enjoy your stay.

Fabulous location and quiet despite being right in busy downtown Kingston. Beautiful, tidy place with soft sheets and plenty of clean towels. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

Dee is always friendly and very responsive. The space is always super clean, comfortable, and stocked with essentials you may need for your stay. The perfect location for the fisherman or family to enjoy the Thousand Islands area. Centrally located to many different boats launches and State Parks, as well as restaurants, grocery store, and other attractions in the area. I hope to come back soon!!

It is very peaceful place for a getaway.

We really enjoyed our extended stay here this winter. The cottage is much larger than we expected with two full bathrooms and two large bedrooms that are nicely separated, with a large kitchen space. The pool table provided extra fun for family and friends on cold snowy days. The views out to the river are lovely (even in the winter). The property was very quiet and private making for a relaxing and peaceful escape. The hosts were great to deal with, responded quickly and resolved any issues we had. Merrickville is a short drive away and a great spot to run for lunch or a few groceries. Highly recommend this property!

Overall great stay! Waterfront is pretty weedy but they can be avoided by paddling out a bit to swim. Host was very responsive and everything was as described.

The cottage was very clean, and had everything needed to make you feel right at home. Attention was paid to every little detail. This cottage was absolutely beautiful and I would rent it again in a heartbeat! Scott has been wonderful to deal with, he is very communicative and easy to talk to.

This is a fabulous cabin on the lake!! We ended up having our family of 4 plus a niece stay here during a family reunion in Kingston and this was wonderful! I like getting out of town, and this feels out in the woods, yet only a 20 minute drive to Kingston. The communication with Danielle and Jorden was immediate. The instructions to get to the cabin are clear. The cabin itself is very cozy and had everything we needed. It was very clean, the kitchen has all necessary appliances, the beds are very comfortable, the showers are great (but low pressure if something else, like the dishwasher, is running) The setting is in absolute paradise. The lake, the deck, the dock, the chairs, the fire pit, the hot tub... wow!Unfortunately for us, the weather was not great so we did not make good use of all the outdoor amenities. But even in the rain, it was so lovely to walk some of the nearby Cataraqui Trail. I will definitely try to make my way back to this Airbnb, hopefully in the warmer months.

This is a perfect lakeside getaway! The house is comfortable, well-appointed and exactly as advertised. The landscaping and setup outside is top-tier. So many thoughtful touches inside and out. Checking in was a breeze and there was a nice bottle of wine waiting for us. And even better, checkout was as simple as walking out the door. No "escape room" style checklist to complete before you go. To top it all off, Alison is a pleasure to deal with. She's friendly, responsive, and all around proactive in ensuring you have a great stay. I highly recommend you book this place, you won't be disappointed.

The cottage was lovely in every way! Super clean, beautiful views, it has everything you would ever need. I only wish we could have stayed longer, but if we ever travel back to Brockville we will definitely be booking with Ziad again.
