Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Downtown, Richmond

This is my second time at this location, this time for four nights. Very comfortable. Convenient to the Allianz Amphitheatre.

A friend and I stayed here for a 24 visit to Richmond. This is a great walkable location.. lots of restaurants and bars. Parking was great. The house itself was even more charming in person. We loved the high ceilings, old hardwood floors and original moldings. The place was very clean and everything was easy to use. Kristin gave us clear instructions and she was very responsive. I believe there was mention of the noise from the restaurant across the street where there is a large outdoor patio and close enough to hear lots of loud chatting. However, it was not a problem whatsoever as it is not a ruckus-y bar and it also closes at 11pm. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again.

I am always impressed when an Airbnb host gets it right. And Tristana gets it right. Her lovely home is just as described. Charming, comfortable and convenient. My husband and I used it as our base for a concert we were attending at the new Allianz Amphitheater on the James River in Richmond. It was a quick Uber ride from the neighborhood, and we loved the fact that we were able to walk to a wonderful place, recommended by Tristana, for dinner. Once we parked, we never had to move the car again. The neighborhood is quiet and tree-lined, with ample street parking. We loved sitting on the front porch listening to the sounds of nature. And Tristana has literally thought of providing everything you could think of to make your stay wonderful. I mean who has lens cleaning solution available for your use? Tristana does. I would not hesitate to stay here again for any future visit to Richmond. I highly recommend.

What a lovely gem in Richmond! Nothing but good things to say about the house; lovely backyard, clean and modern interior, and a very comfortable bed. We were especially fond of the permaculture backyard; it's not something you see often, but it was a really lovely and unique aspect of the property that we enjoyed (and I'm supportive of the effort/theory behind it)!

An amazing place to stay in the Fan district, walkable to so many great places. Extremely responsive host, great communication and even anticipates needs. She generously had bottled water delivered when the city of Richmond was under a boil water advisory while we were there. The house is a lovely with a well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, and nice outdoor space as well. Would def stay again!

We booked this townhouse last minute as we needed to be closer to the airport for an early morning flight, after spending a few days at a bed and breakfast in Mathews County a little ways away. It ended up being the perfect place for our group of five. Very clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared for guests. The check-in process was smooth, and the host left clear, easy-to-follow instructions, which we really appreciated. It’s those little touches and extra thoughtfulness that made our short stay feel so welcoming. Highly recommend!

Exactly like pictures. Super clean and clutter free. The backyard was totally fenced in so it was easy to have our dogs with us. Very close to downtown. We really enjoyed staying here and if we come back to Richmond we'll definitely try to book this place again.

This was a perfect, isolated house for me & my dogs on our trip. Host was very communicative and helpful, place was spacious and in a quiet and green neighborhood - it was a great stay, thank you!

We stayed for a volleyball tournament. We were able to get there by walking in under 10 minutes. Plenty of restaurants and grocery stores. The canal walk is close and there is a playground across the street.

Great spot close to the convention center! The Korean spot on the corner is excellent! It’s kind of a tight spot for 4 people, but doable and everything was just as described!

David was an excellent host. Very responsive and helpful. The location was great. Very walkable and a hipster ish vibe. Good casual restaurants and bars nearby and a great coffee shop just across the road. Very convenient for walking to Richmond's great museums The only negatives of the apartment I would say (and just in the interests of full disclosure for people looking for different things when deciding on where to stay) is that the apartment was dark - no views from the windows apart from brick walls. Also noises from apartment above sometimes disturbed me at night and trash cleaning on certain mornings will wake you up. Having said that these were minor considerations if you just need a cool place to stay where you can explore Richmond. I would stay here again for the convenience of the location and David's helpfulness and spotless apartment.

Alyson's place was perfect when visiting Richmond and exactly as described. We especially liked the porch for hanging out and enjoying the wonderful weather while sipping wine from the Second Bottle around the corner. The location worked well for us and getting around Richmond was easy. The walk- ability to enjoy local restaurants was an added bonus. If we visit Richmond again we would absolutely book a stay at Alyson's Airbnb.

Very convenient to the Richmond Convention Center. A good home base for being out and about. The parking add on was a plus. The chat messages were good. You can tell they are automated, but they provided relevant info when needed.

Reagan's place is a great centrally located base of operations if you're visiting downtown Richmond. It's clean quiet and secure. Access to the building and parking are a little tricky but she's provided very detailed instructions that make it easy. Although our stay was brief, Reagan was a lovely host, a pleasure to meet, and very responsive. Highly recommended for RVA visits!

Great place to stay because you're just a few short blocks away from Cary Street, where there are lots of great stores and restaurants. We walked over several times to get coffee and go to a restaurant, and then shopping the next morning. The apartment is not "new" -- it's in one of the many old houses that line the street. But it was fun and had some character. The bed might be a little soft for some people, but I was comfortable.

Gabrielle's apartment was so thoughtfully designed. She gives warmth to minimalism, creating a serene environment in the middle of a bustling neighborhood. Bonus prize — she's an artist and the apartment is full of her intriguing work!

Thank you for a great stay! Beautiful spot downtown convenient to everything. Condo was everything I needed for my weekend.

My wife and I come to Richmond a few times a year and we have stayed at Suzy's place twice. It's in a great neighborhood and has off-street parking. The only reservations we have are that the sheets and comforter are polyester, so bring our own cotton ones; and the kitchen is not well stocked with utensils and cookware. That might not be an issue for others, but we like to cook some meals ourselves instead of always going out. Other than that, we will continue to stay here when we visit Richmond.
