Short distance to Grimsdalen, Rondane and Dovrefjell with a rich plant and wildlife. Possibility of fishing in river and mountain lakes. Stabburet is located in the courtyard of the main house. Guests can use the outdoor area, balcony and outdoor living room but will then have to share with others who live here. For photography, musk ox safari is recommended on Dovrefjell. Suitable for those who enjoy a simple lifestyle without too much luxury around them.

Short distance to Dombås ski lifts and ski stadium. About 5 min drive. Walking distance to shops. Dombås is a nice starting point for Tour de Dovre. Pick up at the train station can be arranged. Simple cabin located 1100 meters above sea level in Valdres. It's at the top of the Kjølastølen hamlet and is perfect for one or two people who want a place to base for mountain activities. Welcome to a private and pet-friendly mountain cabin, 980 MASL, just one kilometer from the national park boundary. Here, you are surrounded by powerful landscapes. The cabin does not have running water. Stream water is available before frost. There is no indoor toilet, but there is an outdoor toilet in the outbuilding. From the cabin, there are trails and ski tracks leading into the mountains. In winter you must ski or arrange for a snowmobile for the last three kilometers up to the cabin.

The house is suitable for both adults and families with children. If you come to us, you can say hello to our 20 gentle alaska huskies. If we have availability, you can order a sleigh ride. We tailor short or long trips. Run your own dog sled! From us there is a short distance to the mountain. It's a 5 minute grocery store. It is about 15 minutes to Dombås and about 35 minutes to Bjorli. Both places have prepared ski tracks and alpine facilities. Bjorli has a climbing park.

What a lot of space in this house! The kitchen was very well equipped, almost even better than at home 😉 The composting toilet worked fine for us. (odorless) We created the stove a few times because it was chilly. Do not use too much wood, as the stove is very efficient! 😅 A good place to visit several nature parks. Close to E6.

Wonderful stay at a good driving distance from Rondane National Park and Dovrefjell-Sunndalsfjella National Park. The cottage is complete, everything you need is present and it is clean! Beautiful surroundings, definitely recommended!

Thank you, Paul, for having us at your very special place. The location is truly amazing, and the house itself is exceptional—full of character, thoughtful details, and incredible craftsmanship. We had a wonderful time. Although we weren’t able to explore the area as much as we’d hoped due to feeling unwell, simply staying at your place was more than enough. Admiring the magical view through the large window, listening to the birds in the early morning, and watching the ever-changing clouds over the mountains was an experience in itself. Every glance outside offered something new—just magical. The house was so comfortable and beautifully designed. Just perfect. I can’t wait to come back again in the future—hopefully next time we’ll be able to explore the surrounding area as well.

We had a super fun day at Rennei's house! Rennei received us very warmly, knowing that we were driving from the glacier in Geiranger, and specially turned on the heating in the house for us. The house is very clean, the quilts are very clean and comfortable.The farm is very cute, there are sheep and cats, and there are many varieties of plants around, and we also bought their lamb to cook.The most amazing thing is the scenery outside the house, we saw a beautiful fjord town under the iceberg.There were 8 of us, and almost everyone said it was the most comfortable night they had ever slept! I highly recommend this place, the house is even better than the photos, it was very unexpected!I really hope to come back here for a trip!
