Family-friendly vacation rentals in Doukkala-Abda

I stayed at the Riad for my 30th birthday with a large group of friends and it was the perfect base for our stay in Marrakech. There was plenty of room for everyone and the terrace was a beautiful spot for some afternoon sun. Hannan and the staff made us feel right at home and were very helpful with tips for recommendations for the area. Francoise was very responsive to messages and very accommodating to our requests. The Riad was very quiet and peaceful and it was located in a perfect spot in the Medina that was very close to everything. The hammam spa and massages were also wonderful. I’d highly recommend staying at Francoise’s Riad, it is a hidden gem within Marrakech!

An excellent stay overall, marked by clear communication and prompt responses that made the experience smooth from start to finish. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again. The property is beautifully presented/spacious, thoughtfully appointed, and equipped with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Located in a peaceful, secure neighborhood, it offers the added advantage of being within easy walking distance of the medina and main square/around 15 minutes at a brisk pace. It’s also just a stone’s throw from a number of charming artisanal boutiques that lend the area real character. All in all, a brilliant experience. Sincere thanks to Joëlle, Thierry and the wider team for their warm hospitality. I will return!!

Superbe séjour en famille dans ce sympathique Riad! Bonus pr la superbe cuisine des deux Rachida! On s’est vraiment régalé! Et la gentillesse du gardien de nuit! Au calme , chambre confortable et nb espaces de vie! Petit bémol pr le Hammam qui mérite peut être un petit coup de frais! Communication facile avec l’hôte qui a répondu à chacunes de nos demandes. Je recommande ce Riad!

Très bon séjour dans le Riad de Matthieu. Nous étions là en famille. C était notre 5 ème séjour à Marrakech. Logement conforme à la description et à nos attentes. Point positif : FATIMA... !! Nous avons retrouvé ce que nous aimons au Maroc. l hospitalité, la bienveillance , la disponibilité et la gentillesse grace à Elle. (nous avions lu les précédents commentaires et nous confirmons les dire). Petit axe d' amélioration : Quelques petits rafraîchissement sont probablement à prévoir (peinture, jacuzzi) mais rien qui n empêche de passer un super séjour. Allez y les yeux fermés !

We had a great 3 night stay here. Plenty of space for our family of 5 - kids aged 15, 10 & 8. The roof top was fab. I might have been nervous if my children we're alot younger with the balconies & rooftop but for us it was great. The communal pool was lovely too when it was hot. We got a very warm welcome and lots of useful information to settle us in. Location suited us, outside the medina but within walking distance if you like walking. My only gripe was the pillows are a bit small, otherwise beds were comfortable. Thanks for a lovely stay. I would definitely recommend this apartment.

Quelle meilleure preuve de satisfaction que celle de revenir ; ce que j'ai fait un an après mon 1er séjour. Hôte très réactive et bien entourée par M. Brahim qui assure l'intendance. Résidence très sécurisée. Piscine très agréable. Appartement impeccable en rez-de-jardin. Bonne situation géographique. Je reviens dès que possible.

We had a fantastic time at this Airbnb. We have to thank Philippe for his quick action which got us out of a difficult situation with another booking falling through. He was flexible and went above and beyond to get the place ready for us very quickly even though it was last minute. The apartment was spotless and a lovely quiet space. The bedding was very very comfortable. We felt like we slept twice as long as we actually did!! it was easy to walk into town/to main attractions whilst being a calm and quiet neighbourhood. The local restaurants were also great. We hope to come back one day!

We had an amazing trip to Marrakech. Saïd ensured all communication was clear and arranged airport transfers. When we arrived we were greeted by Adam who provided all the info we needed. Aude was on hand by message to arrange excursions (dromedary ride and dinner in the desert) plus a guided tour of the Medina with a very knowledgeable guide (well worth it if you are interested in local history). The beds are comfortable and we had breakfast made by Aude twice (our choice to have twice out). Great meals at Villa Aaron and Dardar. Marrakech is full of sights, sounds, smells and experience. The people are so welcoming. You get used to the busy streets and it feels very safe. Haggle in the souk for souvenirs to take home and remember this beautiful place.

Riad Bab Ouchka is a lovely oasis in the middle of the frantic streets of Marrakech. It was spotlessly clean and all of the bedrooms are spacious. The roof terrace is a great spot to relax. Its just a few minutes walk from the shopping streets and about 10 mins to the main square. There are several lovely restaurants with peaceful terraces within a few steps. Mohammed arranged a taxi from the airport and was there to meet the taxi a few streets away from the riad which is as close as a car can get. I'd highly recommend this as its quite hard to find the first time. Mohammed was happy to sit with us and go over a map of the city pointing out things to do and he recommended a really good restaurant very close by. We had breakfast cooked for us in the riad on a couple of days, very tasty - definitely give this a go.

This was our 3rd stay here and it was better than ever! Truly exceptional. It’s like a little paradise and we really did have the best stay. The hosts were extremely responsive and made our stay even better - being on hand with any questions or queries and even helped booking in my massages at the property. We were really sad to leave but I know we will be back again for the 4th time! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Khalid was a wonderful host and made us feel at home right away. The pickup from the train station and drop off at the apartment for check in was seamless. And what a beautiful riad! Plenty of space and room to relax and unwind after exploring the medina all day. Despite being in the centre of the medina, the house itself was super peaceful and felt like home. The location isn’t as touristy as the rest of the medina, so it was easy to get away from the busy souks. The riad is well stocked with basics and had everything we needed to cook a few meals during our stay. The local markets are very close by so that made the location really perfect. The riad is within walking distance to all the sightseeing spots and restaurants. We had the most authentic stay in Marrakech! Definitely recommend!

The riad is beautiful and was the perfect place to escape the heat and noise of the souks, even on a warm day (end of April) the courtyard and first-floor rooms stayed cool. It’s tucked away on a quiet side street where local kids play, which adds a lovely, peaceful vibe. Abdesalam and Aicha were super kind and helpful; from the welcome at the parking, every morning preparing breakfast for us, and on our last day, On our last day, Abdesalam even walked us to our taxi at 6 AM, which we really appreciated. Highly recommended!

We were 2 families which had the whole place to ourselves and our tween kids had an amazing time on the terrace and hanging out together in the rooms. The housekeeper Ibtissam was extremely helpful as well as making breakfast for us every day; we spoke French with her which worked well. The shutters shut out all the light and the beds are very comfortable. Since the riad is right in the old town it is unavoidable to hear noises of people talking at night and the birds in the morning, but it didn't really bother any of us. Just a note that bedrooms have doors that can be securely closed/locked for those who want some peace in the ensuite bathrooms that don't have separate doors due to the authentic riad set-up. The interiors are traditional and there is a beautiful tree growing in the courtyard up to the open sky which immediately gives you a feeling of being in Morocco. It was really easy to walk around the Medina and feel like we were living in the old town, highly recommend!

Excellent emplacement pour visiter Marrakech! Très bonne communication avec Maria que ce soit en amont ou pendant le séjour. Appartement très bien agencé, la terrasse avec piscine est un plus très agréable pour se reposer après une journée à visiter!

Riad situé à 10 minutes de la place Jemaa El Fna. Un service au top grâce à la réactivité de Saïd et un gros merci à Latifa qui a été parfaite. Riad très propre, au calme dans la médina. Nous le conseillons vivement !!!

We decided to go on a family trip, and were looking for a private Riad for 9 persons. We found this Riad from Alain, and were amazed! We had a great time, the space is cozy and has real character. We felt home and welcome in this Riad in Marrakesh and can't wait to come back again! The location was central and close to all different sorts of restaurants, shops and facilities like taxi stands. It's also close to Bacha Coffee! We also are very happy with Alain, who gave us all the information we needed before our journey began. Rachida, the lovely lady who was at the Riad who picked us up from the taxi stand and walked with us to the Riad, and made us breakfast every day. She was very kind and we miss her already! We made some really good memories with our family.

Bon logement spacieux et bien situe (pres de l’hivernage et non loin de gueliz et jemaa el fna)! Les recommendations de début de séjour sont super et utiles ! Les taxis connaissent tous la résidence donc aucun soucis pour se faire déposer ! Résidence surveillée et ascenseur/ piscine! Merci beaucoup !!

Our stay was magnificent. Our hosts, including Abdou and Fatima, were extremely responsive, attentive to our every need, proactive in being helpful, and otherwise lovely people. The riad is a work of art, or masterpiece actually. It is impeccably clean. Don’t miss Abdou’s fabulous cooking. His dinner was delightful and our favorite meal. Many thanks!

Nous sommes restés dans le logement une semaine. Tout était prêt à notre arrivée facilitée par la présence de Rachid et Hossine pour nous remettre la clé. Ilham le propriétaire est très agréable&réactif. Nous ne l’avons pas rencontré mais il a été aidant et répondait très vite quand avions la moindre question. L’appartement est situé dans une résidence calme&donne sur la rue peu passante. La piscine était accessible et entretenue mais nous ne l avons pas testée. Des petits kits de toilette étaient mis à notre disposition à notre arrivée à l oranger du Maroc. Petites attentions très appréciables!! Le linge de lit propre et serviettes de la salle de bain douces. L’appartement est fonctionnel. Il y a ce qu il faut pour se faire un peu de cuisine pour deux. Il y a des commerces&restaurants tout proche très bons au prix raisonnables. Nous n’ avons pas beaucoup utilisé la cuisine&avons mangé à l extérieur pour profiter de moments d échanges&partage le soir pendant le ramadan. Merci Ilham.😊

Die Unterkunft war sehr schön und ruhig. Wir hatten keine guten Flugzeiten und dafür aber einen flexiblen Check in und Check out. Abdellatif war immer erreichbar, und hat uns damit geholfen. Der Pool ist super für unsere Kinder gewesen und wir mochten in der Villa sehr den marokkanischen Charme. Es kommen mal immer wieder Katzen vorbei, das haben meine Kinder sehr geliebt. Wir hatten zwei normale Bettdecken, der Rest sind diese typischen dicken flauschigen marokkanische Decken. Das könnte etwas problematisch sein wenn jemand Asthma hat. Aber ich denke wenn wir es angesprochen hätten, hätte man uns auch andere Decken angeboten. Die Taxifahrer hatten oft Probleme die Unterkunft zu finden. Woran es lag weiß ich nicht. Aber da war abdellatif auch sehr hilfsbereit. Es sind paar Kleinigkeiten die gemacht werden könnten, aber wir waren sehr zufrieden und würden sie auch wieder buchen.

Sur place nous avons été accueillis par Samad, qui a été durant tout notre séjour, un hôte très réactif, attentionné et à notre écoute. Il nous a fait sentir comme chez nous! La cuisine de Tourya, notre cheffe cuisinière, était absolument délicieuse, nous avons adoré les petits déjeuners et les dîners qu'elle nous a préparés ! sans compter son thé à la menthe qui a fait l'unanimité! Le riad est décoré avec goût et offre tout le confort nécessaire. La situation dans la médina est idéale pour explorer la ville. Nous recommandons vivement ce riad à tous ceux qui cherchent une expérience authentique et agréable à Marrakech. Merci encore à Samad et Tourya pour leur accueil chaleureux ! 5/5 étoiles

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour au Dar Melilo. C'est aussi beau et spacieux que sur les photos. C'est dans une petite ruelle qui donne sur une rue active, mais une fois dans le riad on n'entend plus rien, un véritable havre de paix au coeur de la vielle ville. La piscine chauffée et le rooftop on fait le bonheur de notre fils de six ans. Avoir Hassan et Meriem sur place pour l'aide au rangement, les repas (délicieux!) et les explications est un grand plus. Leïla s'est occupée de nous réserver également les transfers à l'aéroport, nous n'avons eu à nous occuper de rien et c'était vraiment super ! On espère pouvoir revenir un jour :) merci!

Un joyaux caché dans la médina de Marrakech ! Nous avons séjourné entre filles dans ce magnifique Riad. Nous avons reçu un accueil merveilleux par le personnel. Ils étaient d’une gentillesse incroyable tout en étant très discret. Le logement est sublime ! Le linge de lit sentait bon, tout était propre et bien organisé. La terrasse tout en haut en un havre de paix qui a une vue imprenable. Nous avons été conquises par ce lieux !
