Vacation rentals with a kayak in Dorset

Wish we could have stayed for longer! This place is a wonderful find for staying in beautiful Lyme Regis. The location is great (although it is a steep walk back from the beach) and only a 10-15 walk down to the beach and main area. The house felt like a Home from home with everything we needed and more. The double beds were really comfortable , showers lovely and hot and the whole space was perfect for us - 2 Adults and 4 children. Use of the hot tub was a great bonus and the beach hut was brilliant! We loved being able to have a base at the beach and relax in the chairs - the kids used the paddle board and had a great time! We were more than happy to make a donation to the local hospice to use it. Overall we had an amazing time and would have loved to stay for longer. Would highly recommend and Clare is a great host, very friendly and helpful. Thank you!

We really loved staying here - our getaways with a toddler + 2 dogs can be stressful, but this was such a great place to stay that it removed all stress. The location was peaceful and quiet, the village itself was small and walkable for the local pub and playground for our daughter. It was easy to drive to local tourist spots and all the roads were fine. The accommodation itself was comfortable and clean and had all we needed. Can’t thank our hosts enough for such a pleasant stay.

We had an amazing time at Annie’s place. She was always available by phone and easy to communicate with. We were warmly welcomed by her husband, Mark, and her son, Oshi, who were both incredibly helpful. Mark, in particular, was a lot of fun and went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable. The property looked exactly like the listing—if not better in person. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would definitely return!

Kate’s home was the perfect place to stay using our week in Dorset. Amazing location with views of cows out of the window, very peaceful, social layout to the cottage and beautiful garden area. Also great books and toys available if you’re traveling with children. Kate was a very responsive host and made sure our whole stay was smooth. Would absolutely recommend

A totally unique and charming stay, highly recommended! My family and I had the pleasure of staying at The Mill for three nights and enjoyed every second! This is a beautiful property, rich with heritage, tastefully modernised without destroying the history of the building and really fun to explore and live in! We felt right at home, had all we needed to live very comfortably and particularly enjoyed the log burner. Ilminster was 10 minutes away with a range of shops, a nice park and a load of EV chargers. Yet The Mill felt a million miles away from the bustle of the town. The surrounding property is alive with beautiful animals, flora and fauna! My youngest was obsessed with the goats and Miniature Shetlands. There is obviously a large stream running right by The Mill but sadly it was a bit too chilly for us to get wet or kayak- hopefully next time! Overall this was a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing stay that we’d highly recommend and hope we can return to.

A wonderful house in a beautiful location. Me and my kids had a great time. Lots of space for all the kids to find a place to get comfortable but excellent when we all came together as a family. A wonderful lagoon to explore right outside the back garden. So close to so many beautiful spots. I hope to visit again soon!

James was very helpful and pleasant. The room with the bunk bed was very spacious with a desk and an en suite. The other room was quite small and the kitchen and living area were quite small but it was all very clean and comfortable and nicely decorated. Location was great.

What an incredible stay for a special occasion. The place is more beautiful than the pictures, especially the views, it is truly a special place. We enjoyed having our coffee and breakfast in the garden and watching the tide go in and out. Erika & John were perfect hosts and made us feel very comfortable, going the extra mile. We can't wait to return!

booked Dave & Emma's place for my husbands 60th birthday weekend. there was 12 of us, all family with 3 children amongst the group with the youngest being 4 years old. the accommodation had everything you could wish for with the kids and adults alike all making use of the games room, bikes and kayakes. the park and beach were literally opposite the house, so was a great location and the weather was brilliant. we also made use of the hot tub, which was very popular.
