This house is an absolute gem! Beautifully designed, incredibly clean , good quality kitchen ware, great communication, and overall so much character. We loved the spaciousness and the location (very friendly neighbors!) and the back yard was perfect for our puppy. The Blackwater Nature preserve is very close by and is not to be missed. We couldn’t have been happier! I highly recommend this lovely home and will definitely return!

The house was very interesting and cozy! We had a great stay! The location was close enough to everything we wanted to see/do. The house was clean when we got there and has everything you need. We loved the little beach down the street! I just wished the weather was a little nicer for us so we could sit out there for a little while! Thank you again for a wonderful stay!

Our stay was great. The weather wasn’t the best and it’s was rainy and cloudy for most of the weekend, but the rain cleared up enough for us to explore the trails and experience the wildlife. The property has many acres of walking trails that are so beautiful. The property is full of bird feeders so you’re going to see lots of different birds! The property is extremely easy to find and check in/out was very easy. The property is also close to Blackwater Wildlife Refuge which is great for anyone who loves to hike and explore nature. The room was extremely clean and we could only hear a tiny bit of noise one night. Rick and Kathy are extremely nice people and we will definitely be back to stay with them!

If you're looking for a getaway surrounded by a peaceful shoreline and embedded in nature, Cyndi's rustic cottage is it! Her accommodation offered tranquility, self catering and comfort in an area near the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge. A gem of a place to return to!
