There is nowhere quite as magical as this: an historic, creaky cottage, at the end of a farmers track below Cader Idris. It's a back-in-time experience, with wooden beams and antique furniture, owned by the same family for over 60 years. Please read all the details carefully before you book. It’s remote both in location and from modern life. You have space, fresh air and tranquillity. It's comfortable but nothing fancy. No TV or wifi, but a woodburner, books and massive views behind the cottage.

Mill House is a beautiful family-owned old stone cottage, set down a lane in lawns by a river in the tiny hamlet of Dolserau. It is in a peaceful location and is surrounded by beech woods but only 5 mins by car to the pretty market town of Dolgellau in North Wales' Snowdonia National Park. The sound of the river will lull you to sleep at night and Torrent Walk is a scenic and well known path that starts by the bridge at the end of the garden and follows the Clywedog river up the gorge.

The house was built by my Great Grandfather and has been in the family since. Snuggle up in front of the fire place after a day of walking and exploring and enjoy the peace and quiet.
