Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Dodge County

My family enjoyed the 4th of July weekend at Mary's house on Beaver Dam Lake. The house has plenty of space and the back yard has beautiful views of the lake and you can watch the jet ski performers who are just on the other side of the bay. The grassy area has plenty of space for yard games. We rented the pontoon boat and really enjoyed boating around the large lake with multiple islands. This is an older home with some beautiful feathers but some minor quirks. However, Mary has made several updates and appears she is continuing to update the Airbnb. There are a few things from the listing and pictures that were tough to tell - the stairs and bathroom have low ceiling/door clearance, myself and my brothers are 6'2" to 6''5" and frequently hit our heads in a few places (anyone over 6' will have to remember to duck in several spots, including the kitchen fan). There is not a regular size dishwasher in the kitchen, which should be considered depending on the size of your party renting this 5 bedroom house. There are air conditioners in 3 of the bedrooms and in the living room.

I booked this for a friend that was coming to town for about a week. Cheryl was always quick to respond when I had a question and was a very friendly host. It was easy check-in with the keypad. Clear and concise instructions and house rules. And my friend’s additional comments … Fire place in the living room was really cozy, and the bed was comfortable. Will definitely book with Cheryl again if the need arises and the space is available.

We had a very nice stay at this lake house with a larger group. There was plenty of room for everyone, inside and out. The large porch was great, as well as use of a gas griddle outside for cooking meals. The house is very whimsicaly decorated, albeit a bit cluttered. The house was clean, but can have a musty smell due to the moisture of being by the lake. If you have a larger group, keep in mind there is only one bathroom. We visited during a very rainy year, so the yard was quite sloppy and parts were under water. So if you plan to use the yard or frequently walk out to the dock, you'll want waterproof shoes. The lake is also shallow and warm, and it was quite green. There were kayaks to use which was a great feature, but the water is not appropriate for swimming if that's something you're planning to do. The house is also pretty close to neighbors, as most lake properties are. Overall this was a great lake house with lots of room and amenities.

We had a wonderful time at Jennifer's farmhouse. The house was beautiful, comfortable, and very well stocked with everything you would need. The kids loved playing games and watching movies in the game room. Jennifer was very easy to communicate with, extremely flexible with check-in and checkout and was happy to help us extend our stay for an additional day. She really went above and beyond to decorate the house with balloons and treats when she heard that our daughter's 8th birthday fell during our stay. Everything was perfect and we would absolutely stay here again!

I chose this location for my overnight stays during my trip to EAA AirVenture. It was well-situated between Madison and Oshkosh for that purpose. Added benefit - after the hubbub of activity at Oshkosh, I welcomed the easy drive back to Springbrook and the peacefulness of the setting. I also appreciated the listing of local restaurants. Directions and added photos made arrival at night a breeze. All was ready for my very late evening checkin. The room was just as pictured. Next day I got to truly appreciate the beauty of the grounds and the surrounding environment. I will make this my overnight stay again when I return to Oshkosh.

Well kept home! Liked separate rooms all in one house with individual locks/codes per room. Room was very clean and comfortable, wish we were there longer than just to sleep the night of the wedding! So convenient being right on the wedding property!

Wow! That place was hard to find. Make sure your quadruple check that your Maps brings you to the correct location rather than redirecting you. It brought us 15 mins in the wrong direction. Other than that, such a cool property and worked perfectly for our golf trip!
