Lovely place if you are looking for some peace and quiet. It’s also a good location to see the Northern Lights - they were right above us!

Had a really nice stay here on our last night in Iceland. I was very glad to find this place that would accommodate my family of 8 in this rural setting. Wanted to stay close to the national park, and there were not many options other than this. The place was better than I was expecting/pics led on. I was worried we would be cramped, but that was not the case. Other than one of the bedrooms, plenty of space. On that bedroom, I knew going in it would be tight based on pics. In spite of being a bit cramped, not a big deal. Slept fine in that room, and everyone in general slept fine. Main floor was roomier than i thought. Plenty of room in kitchen and other rooms for all. Kids loved the place. Not too far from murals and ocean. Only issue i had was no shampoo in the place. No idea if I knew that before and forgot or should have known it, but it surprised me. Not a big deal. I did not inquire about it either as I was in a hurry. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

The pictures for this house do it no justice - the place is absolutely beautiful! Very spacious with tons of light. Incredibly clean. Heated tile floors which keep the whole house warm. Ólafur is very hospitable. He provides thorough instructions and is super responsive if you have any additional questions. (We learned when using the stove/hot plate that you have to put a pan on it first so it can heat because there needs to be weight present to activate.) Our flights arrived early in the morning and he let us check in early and check out an hour late. We had an amazing time in Iceland and when we return we will be booking this house. Cabin felt brand new and modern. Great location and easy to find.

We enjoyed our stay: the cabin had one of the best equipped kitchens we came across during our trip. The cabin felt very private, and the directions to get there were clear and Google Maps navigation found it without issue. The views were spectacular, and we were very lucky with clear skies and bright auroras both nights. We would definetly stay here again.

Great place to stay. Comfortable, clean and everything you need for a great stay. Tina was a really helpful and proactive host.

I stayed the night before going to the airport. The house was really big, tidy, and nice, so it was a shame that I had to leave early in the morning. There were 2 bathrooms, 3 rooms, 2 double beds, and 2 single beds. The sofa in the living room was really big and comfortable, so it was nice to watch the big TV together. It was equipped with all the kitchen utensils, but there were only four forks. Besides, it was nice to have welcome snacks and coffee. I think it took about 50 minutes from downtown Reykjavik. There were no shops within walking distance, but it seemed to be about 10 minutes by car.

Cozy apartment in a great location - quiet and safe area but walkable to everything! Many cute cats next door. We had everything we needed in the apartment for the 5 of us staying there. Perfect for us to park our rental car outside the garage. The host was very kind and met up with us for a late check in, also gave us some tips.
