We had a really lovely stay at Margret’s place. It was clean and warm and absolutely beautifully decorated - felt very special. The beds were incredibly comfy and the kitchen had everything we needed. There was a lot of space for 4 people - a really relaxing end to our holiday. We had one bright day and two wet cloudy ones. No northern lights sadly but it was fun sitting out in the hot tub under a starry sky. We went for a wonderful family beach ride at Stori Kambur which is just 10 minutes east. In the afternoon we walked to Hellnar along the coast and saw lots of humpback whales. One even breached right out of the water. Take binoculars! Sunset near the light house was gorgeous. Everything is very close by on the peninsula so it was easy to see a lot. On our last morning we drove up to the north coast and took a whale watching tour - we were so lucky to see lots of orcas and another humpback whale. The peninsula is a great place to explore and Margret’s house was a perfect base.

10/10. Maria and her family were wonderful hosts. From letting my children play with their pets to allowing us flexible check in and out due to our flight times, this listing is an absolute gem. Great water (drinking and bathing), beautiful yard, killer views. We saw the northern lights right from our windows multiple nights. I wish we could have stayed forever!

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt! Der Ausblick aus dem Zimmer war einfach traumhaft. Und die Pferde waren natürlich ein großes Highlight. Alle vor Ort waren extrem freundlich!

Le logement est spacieux, très bien équipé. Divers jeux sont disponibles pour les enfants et des jeux de société sont également prévus. Le logement est propre et agréable. Une prise électrique est également disponible pour ceux qui ont un véhicule électrique. Enfin la vue est magnifique depuis le salon, une vue immense sur la baie.

Just a wonderful stay in Arnarstapi at this little cottage. Very homey, with all the things you need for a stay for a few days. We settled in for our three day stay and enjoyed the local sights including a trip up to the top of the glacier and a whale watching excursion. We would highly recommend this place.

Well…to be honest, I wouldn’t use “luxury” to describe this place. Cozy, modern, efficient definitely! Most importantly the views surrounding the location is just breathtaking. Kirkjufell view is right out your balcony 24/7. The unit is on a small size about 25sqm give or take. Kitchen is equipped enough for lite cooking for 2 no more than that. Unless you plan to stay in your room 24hrs this will never be a problem. The host was friendly and gave clear instructions, no fuss at all. If you’re looking for a peacefully beautiful location with gorgeous views all around this place tick all the boxes. But not for the kind of “luxury stay” if that’s what you want.

This was hands down the nicest, cosiest Airbnb we've stayed at. Anna Maria was friendly and helpful and her house is fantastic - the beds were comfy, the kitchen was fully stocked and then some (the coffee machine was especially fabulous). Our kids enjoyed the puzzles, board games, arts & crafts, movie collection, and space to stretch out and play in the house and yard. You can see the stunning mountains and the sea from the windows and there's tons of beautiful places to see and hike nearby. It was definitely a good idea to buy groceries in Borgarnes on the way to Arnarstapi. We would definitely choose to stay there again!

Es gab Probleme mit dem Strom aber Katrín hat sofort reagiert und jemanden geschickt, um das Problem zu beheben. Das Haus ist sehr gemütlich, die Lage am Meer ist super und es ist sehr ruhig. Es war makellos sauber.

Einfach eine traumhafte Unterkunft, die wir leider nur für eine Nacht genießen durften. Wir haben uns gleich wie zuhause gefühlt. Alles war in einem top Zustand, die Betten waren super bequem und der Ausblick auf die Berge super schön.
