This place is beyond words! Spent 4 days...booked 7 for next year. What a gem! Beachcombing, on your own private cove, the setting, the view... saw habour porpoise, seal, eagles and of course lots of deer. An incredible getaway to disconnect. Only wanted to stay longer! The place is simply perfect! Even the fog is fascinating and atmospheric. Never slept better! Thanks Ashley! Much appreciated...see you next year Deer Island and Chocolate Cove! Our stay was amazing! It was relaxing, peaceful and everything we hoped for. My husband enjoyed the hot tub and my dog loved running around the yard. We went to Gleason’s Cove for a sunrise one morning. We highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay. The bunkie was cozy and well decorated. Rhonda clearly put a lot of effort into giving the space a great vibe and a theme that followed through entirely. It was still easy to get out and do activities. Can’t wait to go back!

My stay here was absolutely lovely and exceeded my expectations. Definitely the best set up cabin I have been to! Tge hosts were great. You can see how much love, care and work that has gone into this spot. Cannot wait to stay again in the future!

My friends and I had the best stay at this cabin! We loved everything about it. We would love to come back again in the summer to also enjoy the lake! We loved the hot tub in the snowy weather. The place was clean and had everything you may need. Such a good little getaway spot.

Ashley’s place was so peaceful and just how we wanted to spend a few days over March break. The kids and us really loved the hot tub overlooking the lake and sitting under the stars in it was ultimate relaxation. Everything you need for your kitchen is there which was super handy. The place was pristine upon arrival and the furnishings were comfy and homey. The reclining leather sofa was the best spot to watch some Netflix. We definitely would love to come back in the summer!! What a jewel their cottage is, and exactly as described. The cottage was immaculate and everything you need is there and then some. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wished we had longer to visit. We would not hesitate to recommend to anyone wanting to explore the area, while enjoying a nice relaxing place to stay on a lovely lake. Loved the kayaking as well.

Host was very nice and responsive, the cabin was in excellent shape, quiet and peaceful . Did not expect the owners of the property to also own a restaurant down the road, which completely blew us away with the food, atmosphere and service. I would definitely recommend someone to come check this place out!

Cabin was homey, comfortable, clean and had everything you would need. Area was quiet with privacy, a large deck, beautiful yard with hammock, loungers and a chair swing by the water. Playground is well maintained and safe. The lake was the highlight of our stay! There is a small beach area to wade into the water or you can jump right off the dock. The water is calm, warm and very clean. We spent all day swimming, out on the paddle boat or canoes. If you go into the cove in the boats you can find painted turtles and frogs. There were no mosquitoes as we were outside all day and night by the fire pit. On rain days the screened in porch was great for meals and games of cards. The cabin had a bunch of boardgames and movies we could enjoy. Denis is very welcoming, a great host and respectful of your stay. We had a really wonderful time.

We had a lovely three-night stay at cottage #1. We travelled as two adults with two small children (ages 2 and 6). The cottage was clean and well-equipped with kitchen gadgets, dishes, utensils and cooking supplies, plenty of linens, and even a drawer of board games and colouring supplies that our kids really appreciated. We were happy to have the BBQ and fire pit to use as well. The amazing beach is literally right across the street, as well as the Quarterdeck restaurant. It was very convenient especially with two kids to just be able to walk across the street and access beach fun and a meal if we wanted. Check-in was very easy with a door code provided before our arrival, and Eric and Dawn kindly checked on us via message daily to ensure we had all we needed. I would highly recommend this cottage to others. Thanks for the great stay!

This cozy, warm, welcoming place is a perfect home base for exploring Nova Scotia. My husband and I loved it. We will try to return. It was a wonderful stay. I highly recommend it without any hesitation.

This place is a gem! Wonderful views, very cozy space, a huge deck, well-equipped kitchen, and close to a bunch of really excellent hiking trails. It was the perfect comfy and relaxing place to come back to in the evenings!! And Kay is so great, just so nice and her gardens are lovely. Also really enjoyed all of Randy's metalwork! Would definitely stay here again. :)

Perfect getaway from the busy world! No Wifi, no plumbing...back to simple basics, closer to the rhythm of the sun. Chance to reconnect as a couple, celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary. There are bright lights from a nearby wharf which would usually bother me, having to use an eye mask. Nope, slept like a babe without a mask. The wind in the trees, perfect. The cabin is a mere few steps from the coast. Lovely part of coastal Nova Scotia: in two days we visited five beaches, the towns of Barrington and Shelburne the Baccaro Lighthouse and National Historic Site Fort Saint Louis. Mark lives nearby but allowed us privacy. Gave explanations on how everything works and was available if needed. Though we brought our own, provided plenty of firewood, water and bonus: great diesel heater! Nice roads to walk as little traffic. Friendly community, felt very safe. Several female deer, an eagle. Note, there is Ingomar and Ingomar Road, the "Road" is where his cabin is located.

My boyfriend and I stayed for the weekend and had an amazing time! We took the kayaks out on the lake for a nice Fall paddle. The property was beautiful and there were lots of thoughtful touches. Shayma was easy to communicate with and very friendly. We would definitely stay here again!

The cabin is rustic, but it has everything you need for a pleasant and easy stay. The cabin was clean, the bed was very comfortable and warm, the bathroom has plenty of warm water. The heater was enough to keep the cabin warm. We travelled with our pet and she was very comfortable throughout the entire stay. The location is excellent! The farm is beautiful and has several trails to hike and enjoy the scenery. The area is quiet and peaceful, with plenty of fresh air. The cabin is about 10 minutes away from town, where there are plenty of good restaurants and friendly locals. It is also very close to the Roque Bluffs State Park. We had a very pleasant stay and Lisa was wonderful!

Loved this quiet peaceful space for a family getaway. Close to gorgeous beaches. 15-20min away from Carters beach and Summerville beach. The latter is a great beginner surfing beach.

This cabin at Bear Beach is where you want to stay! The location is very private with beautiful views right on the water. The home is warm and inviting, fully stocked with everything you need…and the sauna is a HUGE plus to have. It was the perfect evening activity after a long hike to relax and loosen up. My only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer!

We had a wonderful stay in Clark's Harbour. So much to do and very serene. Jorge provided almost everything needed. The cottage was VERY comfortable. A great place to relax. We visited as much as we could from Yarmouth to Shelburne. Hawk Beach is just breathtaking. It is huge, clean, very few people, and the water was so blue! I have a passion for lighthouses so we visited as many as we could. My dog was very happy too. So glad Jorge's is pet friendly. Barrington has all the stores you need. Everyone was very friendly. We loved the wild life, deer in the yard, crows having their meeting on the fence posts, seagulls everywhere and beautiful great blue herons! We just loved this little place. One of my favourite things was the teeny tiny lamp on the window sill by the couch - it was so adorable. Thank you for the beautiful painted rock. It is now with my beach rocks around my lighthouse out front at home. To be able to see the bay out the front and the waves out back!
