Cabin vacation rentals in Desert Hot Springs

We had a wonderful few days here! It was nice and cozy for our young kids and small dog. We enjoyed exploring Idyllwild and the location was great! Would stay again!

Excellent stay in this delightful cabin. The cabin was as described and was clean and very functional. What a treat to stay in a real log cabin! Only negative was that you are by windmills which means that there is a lot of WIND, which is not host's fault. The wind would howl at night so if you are a light sleeper, be sure to bring earplugs! The wind made everything harder, fire pit wouldn't stay lit, it was super cold getting to and from the hot tub, and even my luggage rolled off the deck! Overall we enjoyed our experience and felt the hosts were very communicative and kind.

Absolute magic. This trip was our opportunity to experience Idyllwild and Freewyld before we brought our family together there later this summer. It was amazing. Exactly as described, beautifully curated and truly built to help you disconnect from the chaos of real life. Modern conveniences and well thought out amenities really made it so that if you have to work like I did, you have everything you need from great WiFi to linens so soft I was searching for labels to buy for home. The crisp mountain air, the sound of the creek and the comfortable spaces that promote enjoying a disconnect have us counting down the days to return with our entire family and really experience the Live Wyld life for a four days. Don’t hesitate to book.

This was our first visit to Joshua Tree and it didn’t disappoint. After two nights in Vegas we wanted a relaxing place to unwind. The views at sunset and sunrise were sensational, and the house had been refurbished to make the most of this. The hosts were communicative, available but unobtrusive. Our only regret was not staying longer. We will definitely return to the area and this place!

Just go!! You won’t be disappointed. I stay in a lot of Airbnb’s and this one has it all ….the details the owners have put into this amazing home can’t be overlooked and the amenities and the outdoor space to hang in a hammock, hot tub sit in the saloon or play corn hole .. the list goes on. We will be back!!

This was an ideal place for a relaxing weekend getaway! Great location, walkable to the village and to trailheads. A home away from home with everything we needed. Expectations and instructions were clearly communicated and Anna was very friendly and responsive. Highly recommend a stay here!

Sandra’s place is amazing. It’s perfectly located giving you easy access to town as well as multiple trails for hiking. The hot tub is great, fireplace is easy to use…. The place is perfect. She’s also thought of everything. From leaving flashlights, head lamps, dog poop bags, lint rollers… anything you need, it’s there. I highly recommend staying with Sandra!

Pricilla was super attentive and quick with responding to questions before booking and also during my stay. The cabin was so peaceful and the mountain town had great local maw and pa restaurants as well as local shops. It was such a beautiful area and the cabin was perfect for me. Priscilla made sure check in went smoothly for me and was able to accommodate a couple requests that I needed for my stay. She went above and beyond as a host. The cabin was accurately described in the listing. The only regret I have, is that I wish I could have stayed longer. Hopefully I’ll be back in the area soon, I will definitely be a returning customer.

Absolutely recommend Sugar Mountain, we had an amazing time. It's far enough away, yet close enough for a short drive to Pioneertown or JT. I would bring all you need to avoid having to leave this tranquil location so you have more time to take in all of the sights and amenities. Walk the trail that starts at the bottom of the driveway, you will not see anyone and the sights and views of this nature trail are second to none. Also, no TV is a huge bonus, it would only be a distraction. Can't say enough of how much we enjoyed our stay - thank you!

The place is located in the dessert and is amazing peaceful. It is easy to find due to thorough instructions from the host. It is a great experience and it made our trip special !!

Super cute cabin that is private, quiet and away from it all. It’s well stocked with everything you would need to make yourself at home for a while. Loved the fireplace and the view. Had a fully fenced yard for the pup to run around and have fun. Neighbors had dogs too, but they were reasonably friendly with my husky/malamute, as were the neighbors. A little more than a mile to town and down the street from a major trailhead, so there’s lots to explore. Would absolutely book again. Thank you Kelly!!!

We had such a peaceful and serene stay at this beautiful Joshua Tree home. The view from the bedroom was absolutely stunning — waking up to that desert landscape was truly something special. The house had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway, and the quiet surroundings made it feel like our own private retreat. We’d definitely love to come back!

Clean, quiet, and it looks exactly like the pictures. The dirt road to the house was easy to navigate and had no issues what so ever. Annalee was very responsive and her check in/ check out instructions was very clear. Would recommend this place especially if you are wanting to get away the hustle and bustle of city life.

We had an INCREDIBLE stay! The view was wonderful. We loved that the home was accessible to all the locations we were visiting, while feeling secluded and private. Property was amazing. We would definitely come back! Can’t recommend this stay enough!

They thought of everything! Went out with my boyfriend for a peaceful secluded vacation and was not disappointed. Super romantic and lovely. Ultimate beautiful escape! My wife and I stayed in Susan's cabin in Twentynine Palms and used it as a home base while exploring Joshua Tree National Park with our daughter. We loved our stay! The cabin was very nicely finished, well equipped, beautifully landscaped, and extremely peaceful. We loved sitting out on the patio in the mornings and the evenings, and were cool and comfortable inside during the heat of the day. As you can imagine, the night sky is incredible and we all enjoyed looking at the stars on the astro bed. Check-in and check-out were easy and our host Susan was extremely helpful, friendly, and accommodating. We'd definitely stay here again!

beautiful location with great amenities and was perfect!!! only about 20-30 min from the entrance to the park but great location between both 29palms and joshua tree towns! would definitely recommend and will absolutely be back!

Very cozy home in peaceful surroundings! Enjoyed soaking in the hot tub at night next the to the outdoor fireplace while watching the stars. The space was also well decorated and landscaped. Laurel and Steak were very responsive and gave clear instructions.
