Jill’s Wander Wild cabin was everything we were hoping for and more. It was fully stocked, and quiet and only minutes from town. The hot tub was wonderful, the bed was comfy and we absolutely loved listening to nature on the deck and drinking coffee in the mornings. We did a puzzle, listened to some music and just enjoyed the surroundings while we fell in love with the town. We will certainly be back if she’ll have us!

My husband and I stayed at Cleavage Cabin while our kids attended science camp in the area. Anita made checking in a breeze and the welcome binder was so helpful in getting the hot tub started and understanding the other parts of the home. We had the most restful few days. The sound of the creek, watching the wildlife, soaking in the hot tub, reading by the fire, etc. Everything was amazing. Town is very close by but we did not spend much time there. The cabin turned out to be such a wonderful oasis, we didn't want to leave! We ended up extending our stay one more night because we wanted the kids to experience the cabin. Anita was prompt and super friendly when we requested an extra night. We are already planning on staying at the cabin next year!

Mathilde & Rudy's place was SPECTACULAR. The house was located on a very private road and was incredibly peaceful. It was such an amazing experience relaxing in the hot tub with the milky way right above us! The hammock was also perfectly placed. The house was super cute, nicely decorated, and very clean. I would definitely use the Waze app when navigating the neighborhood, though, because the directions were more straight forward than google maps. If you are thinking about booking here just do it!

We needed to get away from the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, and this house was the just the answer. Quiet, private, and our dog Luna loved the yard.

Gorgeous views and surroundings. Kitchen is well stocked with high quality cooking supplies/pots/pans. Using the hot tub with the beautiful view was a dream. Waking up in the middle of the forest with birds singing was lovely. The hosts were wonderful - very responsive and kind.

Beautiful home and everything just as described. We made good use of the hot tub, private yard, and internet for work. I wish we could find a listing like this one in all the places we travel. Definitely would book this place again when coming back for a visit.

Our family loved staying in the little A Frame! Lots of homey touches & natural decor that was practical and yet beautiful. The town is walkable from the home. Very peaceful location! Host is very responsive. (People with mobility issues would have a hard time with the stairs).

Lovely cabin in the woods. Quiet and away from the crowds. Close enough to get into town easily. Loved staying here!

This is a really lovely cabin. We were comfortable, kitchen had needed amenities, and check in and check out were very very easy. The back deck and surrounding views were absolutely spectacular. Very quiet area. Hosts were quickly available. We would happily stay again.

What a special and beautiful spot this was! It surpassed our expectations, in particular the artistry of the interior and exterior design. This was far beyond a basic rental property, you can tell folks put love, care and character into each stylistic choice! All amenities were fantastic, hosts responsive, peaceful and quiet surrounding areas — absolutely no complaints.

Maya & her place were lovely! It’s the cutest home tucked away from busy life, but still close to easily get to town. I have a small Prius C & I was able to go between 6-11 mph on the dirt road. I didn’t mind at all! It gave me time to enjoy the views and wildlife. There was a beautiful sculpture on the way called “Transmission”. I had no idea it would be on the path & it was magical to see! The home is fully stocked with everything we needed. Plenty of towels, bedding, etc. The kitchen had even more than expected and was perfect to cook in! Huge bonus of filtered reverse osmosis drinking water in the kitchen. Water pressure was excellent. Hot water never ran out. Cozy dining area to eat and play games. The hot tub was very clean!! Loved the hammock too. Very secure and comfy. There were higher winds so I didn’t use the fire pit, but with the fencing we were still able to enjoy the hot tub & stay low out of the strong wind while in the water. I would for sure stay here again!

We had such a wonderful stay at the Wavy Pines cabin. We were so happy to find a pet-friendly home that we could bring our whippet to share the fun with. Our dog had a blast going up and down the stairs and exploring all the smells outside and experiencing his first snow! The neighborhood was so serene and quiet, we felt so relaxed and it was an easy, short walk to a national forest trail that our dog also enjoyed very much. The town is only a few mins drive away which had restaurants and grocery stores so we were short of nothing during our stay. We look forward to staying again during our next trip to Idyllwild someday!

Nice place. Much larger than expected. Very clean, very spacious. Loved that he had a large cold pitcher of water. It’s a small detail, but very thoughtful and a haven in the desert. We visited Joshua Tree over a couple of days. Perfect distance to it. Not too close as to still be near a Vons or food areas, but not too far that we would make it there rather quickly. Plus, spending time outside in the backyard set up to stargaze was the highlight of the trip for me. For my wife was the view of the sunrise over the Joshua trees around. Overall a great stay.

Always a great stay at Freewyld. Especially loved the giant rope beds for looking at the stars. Room was impeccable.

Beautiful place to stay. Stunning views and amazing home. The road up was surprisingly steep and bumpy. I think a low car would have had trouble getting up. The door was a bit tricky to close. But everything was explained and described perfectly in Laurel and Steak’s instructions. I’ll 100% want to return back

I loved Elizabeth’s place! What a peaceful, beautiful place. Just what I needed as a relief from noisy L.A. So well designed and thoughtful. I especially loved sitting out on the patio, listening to the birds and wind through the trees. Just A+++.

I recently stayed at this charming A-frame Airbnb in Idyllwild from May 19 to May 21, and it exceeded all expectations! The drive was scenic and only two hours from San Diego. The cleanliness of the home impressed me—huge thanks to the housekeeper! The cozy decor, warm wood furnishings, and comfortable bedding made it feel like a true retreat. We loved the stunning views from the main bedroom and the front porch, perfect for morning coffee. The temperature was ideal at around 75 degrees. Security was a plus too; the heavy doors made us feel safe in this peaceful, woodsy area. We appreciated the hiking pass provided, allowing easy access to local trails. Every detail contributed to a memorable stay! I highly recommend this A-frame to anyone looking for a unique experience in Idyllwild. I can’t wait to return!

One of our favorite experiences was feeding the abundant wildlife, bunnies, roadrunners, birds, and chipmunks. It genuinely felt like stepping into a Disney movie! Sarah has created an extraordinary ecosystem that is vibrant, nurturing, and enchanting. This is not your typical modern stay devoid of character; this is a soulful space overflowing with heart and purpose. We wholeheartedly recommend Sarah's place to anyone seeking a meaningful getaway. A simple but clean and peaceful cabin, Micki has created a perfect spot for a quiet retreat with a small family or friends. If you like sipping morning coffee in the cool desert air while watching the wildlife (jackrabbits, coyotes and more), hearing the nearby roosters crow, or just listening to the birds sing around you, then this is the perfect place for that type of respite. 5-stars all around.
