Monthly Rentals in Delatite

Absolutely magnificent place. I could not quite believe that view every morning. And the birds! I sat on the porch with my binoculars and managed to catch sight of the lesser seen Eastern rosellas, spinebills, and a confident little shrike! Peta and Dieter were so friendly and accommodating and helped us settle in straight away. The place was so cosy and warm, I could have stayed another week if not just to wake up with the birds every morning. We were also greeted by a couple of gorgeous dogs, and the chickens came to say hello every day! Great value for money. We really hope to be back, it is such a special place with a wonderful energy. Thank you so much!

We enjoyed a fabulous weekend at the Riverside House. Andrew met us on arrival and was very welcoming. The location and house are very special, we enjoyed being right next to the river with balmy autumn evenings enjoying the view from the deck. Can’t wait to go back!

Beautiful place and very relaxing (except for the snake near the house).

From my first comms with Catherine I knew I was onto a winner. The Shearer's Hut is an absolute stunner, off grid and in a beautiful and perfect location. Catherine's messages were super helpful, so responsive and she made some fantastic suggestions for walks and great restaurants in town. We ate at both Honcho and The Fields, and both places the food was outstanding, the service warm and welcoming, and both went out of their way to accommodate and fuss our dog. The outside toilet, bathroom and kitchen are rustic and have their own gorgeous charm, and the hut itself is small but fabulous. We lit an outside fire our first night, and then enjoyed an indoor fire the 2nd night. We enjoyed coffee and breakie on the sun soaked verandah and explored the wonderful property that surrounds the Hut. Loved the sheep and alpacas, and the all the beautiful birdsong. Highly recommend this wonderful spot and we will return again soon.
