Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Dawson County

This is our second time visiting this home. It is beautiful inside and out. We enjoyed a wedding rehearsal dinner hosting friends/family and it served as a prep area for our beautiful bride and her bridesmaids before the wedding just down the road. We enjoyed the large open space and the firepit! Only remotely negative thing I would say was the "curious" neighbor across the road up on the hill could benefit from a new hobby. Unfortunately her inquisitivness could easily be interpreted as Karen behavior, especially being directed towards 13 year olds unloading cars for their parents. Her, nor her behavior kept us from enjoying our joyful weekend surrounded by our family and friends though. I would definitely recommend this home, and I would definitely stay here again. Absolutely fantastic all the way around. Our 4 boys were outside exploring the entire time and never bored…which speaks for itself. Awesome Lake house, will definitely be back. We appreciate it, thank you!

I came with my family to enjoy thanksgiving in the mountains. This place was beautiful, the house was cozy, and Veronica was SUPER responsive to all questions I had!

We booked this beautiful home for a weekend at iron mountain. This place has lots of parking space for trucks carrying trailers. This place is so beautiful and peaceful. Will be booking again in the feature 😊

We had a wonderful bachelorette gathering at the Modern Farmhouse! Even with 13 of us we had plenty of space/beds/bathrooms. The rooms were all beautiful, comfortable, and clean. It was helpful to have the extra apartment above the garage as well. We enjoyed hiking at Springer Mountain and going on a wine tour. The town of Dahlonega is charming and has great food! Would definitely stay here again! Thank you for a memorable girl's weekend!

We had a great experience at Ross’s place! The apartment was extremely clean and well taken care of. It is within walkable distance to downtown Dahlonega, which made for getting something to eat or stopping for coffee very convenient. We truly enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend!

We had a wonderful stay! The property was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and perfectly located for a peaceful lakeside retreat. Having direct access to the lake was a highlight, and the host was friendly and helpful, offering great local recommendations. Highly recommend!

Mary Beth's home was perfect for our family. With two young children, having the privacy of a full 2BR apartment with kitchen and laundry was perfect for us. There was also a stocked toy closet that our 3y/o loved. We spent most of our time in the area visiting family and offsite, but we would definitely stay here again!

Very unique place with more fresh eggs than you can eat and take home. Steve meets you when you arrive which nice to meet the host who is full of information and recommendations. We felt very much at home there. The location is central to the most beautiful water falls and hiking trails in North Georgia. I think we could live there. Can't wait to go back.

Darlene’s place was the perfect getaway for me and my girlfriend. Such a beautiful piece of land with cute, friendly animals. Getting to explore the land, the barn, etc. was an amazing gesture by the kind host. Thank you so much Ms. Darlene! 10/10 would recommend.

My husband and I stayed for two nights and would definitely look to stay again in the future. Drew’s place is very quiet and clean. The bed was super comfortable. We had everything we needed, including a French press that we were happy to see. Lights lit the path to the apartment at night. Downtown Gainesville is in walking distance along with many great restaurants, including Mellow Mushroom (pizza) on Green Street. Gainesville is my hometown so it was great to be back and also be within walking distance of family at their new place downtown. Highly recommend!

Stacy was proactive and gave very clear instructions how to get inside. My GPS got confused on the location so it took a few extra minutes to find. The area is so pretty and peaceful! Lots to do in the town, it reminded us of Gatlinburg. The beds are so comfy! Plenty of space for two adults and two kids to sleep comfortably. If you plan to use the trundle bed, bring an extra pillow or two for yourself. Pirate golf down the street was a hit with our kids!! Would love to come back during the summer to go river tubing!

The place was clean, cozy, and absolutely exceeded our expectations. The photos don’t do it justice! The property was gorgeous and we even got to feed the trout off of the bridge! The hosts checked in on us on our first day to make sure we had everything we needed. If you’re looking to hike, there are plenty of good hikes within 20ish minutes of the place which was super convenient. It was the perfect place for a quiet, peaceful mountain getaway. We loved every minute!

This place was amazing if you are looking to get away from the big city vibes for a bit. We truly enjoyed the all the scenery and animals everywhere. The lake was far from the place, but beautiful to go look at. the best part is the golf course! we loved and would stay again if we were in the area. Thanks!

Great place! Super convenient to walk everywhere from here. Place was clean and had all we needed. The kids couldn’t stay out of the hottub!

We absolutely loved our time in Helen and the lodging was no exception. The place was very clean and was only a minute or so from most of the things we did downtown. It was nice that the neighborhood was gated and made us feel at ease. Would recommend for sure!

This spot was amazing to stay in and we would absolutely visit again. Close enough to downtown to have fun but far enough away that you felt like you had a private space in the woods. The upstairs swing was pure bliss with a cozy, fluffy blanket on a brisk morning. The only real issue we ran into during our stay was with parking. The garage only fits 2 cars comfortably and we had 3. The person with the most reliable E brake gets the hill! Also, bring your own toiletries. They weren't provided and the local store is a little pricey.

We enjoyed everything about the stay. The location was perfect and within walking distance to everything in Helen. I really liked the seasonal fireplace and how clean and cozy the condo was. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

This was a wonderful place to stay in adorable Helen. It was a very clean and comfortable place with lovely touches. We loved the grill and the kitchenette was perfect for our needs. It was just a few steps to downtown. Betty’s grocery is delightful and everyone was so friendly in town. We spent a day hiking in Unicoi and Ana Ruby Falls is beautiful. We also went to Tallulah Gorge Park and that was great. I would highly recommend staying in Helen and staying at Leonard’s!
