The Loft

The Loft is an en-suite bedroom above our garage with separate access and plenty of off-street safe parking. There are no cooking facilities but there is a coffee machine, kettle and some basic supplies. Breakfast is not included but can be by arrangement. Please note that it’s a family home and so we don’t guarantee silence! Oulton Park, Blakemere Craft Centre, The Hollies and The Shire Horse Centre are all local. Access is easy to Chester, Knutsford and Manchester.

The Fal Narrowboat at Oakwood Marina

Our narrowboat Fal is moored at Oakwood Marina on the Trent & Mersey Canal near the village of Davenham. Oakwood Marina has an on site shop and tea room which opens Thursday to Monday. Manchester airport is around 20 minutes away, Knutsford is 15 minutes drive, not to mention some of Cheshires many gardens of distinction and country houses, some of which have some wonderful winter events coming up!

Sole Use of One Bedroom House

David and Pam were incredibly warm and welcoming — it honestly felt like we were visiting family. The stay itself was perfect. The place was spotless, beautifully presented, and full of thoughtful touches like fresh milk, butter, and bread waiting for us. You can tell they genuinely care; the attention to detail was outstanding, and nothing felt like too much trouble. The location was absolutely stunning — peaceful, private, and so tranquil. In the evenings, the ducks would wander over for their dinner, and around 9pm Pam would call out to the local fox for its evening meal too. We didn’t manage to spot the fox, possibly because it saw us waiting in anticipation! They made us feel so at home — even showing us around some of their land and introducing us to their gorgeous Jack Russells, which was extra special for me as I grew up with them. Honestly, I can't recommend this Airbnb enough. I truly didn’t want to leave. Thank you both! You are genuinely kind souls with big hearts!

Amazing 4 Bed Cheshire house sitting in 4 acres.

Peter’s place was exactly as it looks in the photos, finished to a high standard, and clean throughout. We had sky tv & Netflix throughout the house (including the cinema room), and enjoyed the easy to use Sonos-style speakers that are situated throughout the house. There are walkable shops and pubs in the village nearby and it’s a short drive to Tatton Park, Quarry Bank or Alderley Edge if you’re looking for outdoor walks. The pond & stream in the garden are great to look out upon and provide a peaceful setting. Everything was straight forward but Peter was easily contactable if we needed him. A great stay overall and we wouldn’t hesitate to return.

As a holiday let host myself, I have pretty high standards, and Carole exceeded these! Firstly, the interactions with Carole were wonderful. The property was perfect! beautifully decorated throughout with such attention to detail. The location was so peaceful and quiet, and the welcome gifts and food were just so thoughtful. I was over the moon with my stay. We had booked as we were close to Oulton Park and my son was racing there, I even went to the racetrack late on the Sunday to soak in a few more hours of peace before I left! Cannot recommend Carol and the property any more highly.

The garden area is illuminated softly by tasteful ground lighting, highlighting lush plants and a palm tree. The surroundings feature a well-maintained lawn, providing a calming atmosphere during twilight hours. A backdrop of farmland stretches out beyond the garden, enhancing the natural setting.

What a lovely place! We only stayed for 2 nights and I wish we could have stayed longer. Cosy rooms, homely decor and so spacious. There was everything you could possibly need - fully equipped kitchen, dressing gowns, slippers, good coffee, snacks and a welcome drink (thank you!) The place was easy to find, quiet location and pretty views overlooking the field.
