Beautiful Portuguese farm cottage nº 32172/AL

Experience life in the Portuguese countryside in a traditional family owned Quinta! Perfect for families with children :) Location: Located in the center of the village Vale, Arcos de Valdevez just across the street from the church, the whole property has more than 6 hectares, it’s located in one of the most famous wine regions (vinho verde) in the country and it offers the insights of traditional farming in Northern Portugal. Description: Your home is a cottage with 2 bedrooms, 1 living room, a kitchen and a bathroom. One of the bedrooms has a double bed and the other has a bunk bed. In the living room there is an expandable sofa bed. The kitchen is fully equipped to make you feel like home and the bathroom has a shower with hot water. We try to arrange the privacy and comfort of modern home in a rustic environment. Activities: In this Quinta (Portuguese farm) you can admire the great view of the whole valley, take a nice walk (1 km) to a small waterfall and natural swimming pool, enjoy some quality time with the pigs, sheep or ducks on the property or taste the home made jams, smoked meat or liquors produced by the owner. For the nature lovers this is the place to start a hike in Peneda-Geres National Park and there is a local company that organizes tours and canoe rides. Getting around I you arrive by car, free parking is available on site. Closest city is Arcos de Valdevez (8 km away). It is well connected by bus with Porto, Lisbon, Braga and there is a direct bus from Porto airport. From Arcos to Vale there is a local bus service twice a day and taxi is available for around 10 euros. Pick up can be arranged for a fee, if agreed beforehand.

House built in granite, with three bedrooms, a kitchen, une living room, one bathroom fully furnished, a garden and open space with barbecue. Feel free to enjoy your stay. Enjoy the nature and relax! The urban area is really nera the house and you can enjoy the lovely food in soem restaurants or just enjoy the natural landscape by wlaking around or just enjoy a nice drink in one of the river-fronts. Public transportations are not the best, but you can visit some of the surrounding towns if you are good in making plans... This is my home. I reconstructed it myself. It's full of love...

The location of the accommodation is simply enviable, surrounded by a beautiful environment that invites you to relax and enjoy. Too bad we couldn't stay longer, because we loved it. It would be great to be able to come back another time… hopefully with a little less rain than this time! Even so, the experience was very positive for both humans and dogs, and the place has a lot of charm.

The rental was really high quality, very nice and clean. The place was very quiet with a great view. The house, very modern, is well equipped and very well designed. The second bathroom, accessible from one of the three bedrooms, is really nice. The warm welcome came after contact messages and a call to let us know how to check in. A rental that we recommend.

Dona Branca's house is simply wonderful. There are no words to describe Dona Branca's hospitality and the charm of the house. It is a rustic house rehabilitated with immense affection, good taste and attention to detail. All rooms are spacious, the bedrooms are great, the kitchen is equipped with everything you need. The terrace overlooking the river is the cherry on top. The house is a 1-minute walk from the river (first line of the river) and the fabulous river beaches of Ponte da Barca. It is also in the historic center of Ponte da Barca, cafes, restaurants and all local attractions. The sympathy and hospitality of Dona Branca also make all the difference, she had all the possible care, from the reception to the care she had in leaving products for our breakfast. We couldn't recommend this accommodation better and we hope to return soon. Thank you for everything :)

*⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐* We stayed at this wonderful house for an unforgettable bachelorette party — and we couldn't have chosen better! The house is super comfortable, clean, well-equipped and has incredible energy. Every corner seemed designed to create good times among friends. The outdoor space was perfect for toasts, laughter and lots of photos. The host was super attentive and always responded with sympathy and speed. Thank you for contributing to such a special weekend. I take beautiful memories... and maybe a secret or two from the group! I 😄 recommend it 100%!

A beautiful place with beautiful views, the house is of a fairly acceptable size and has a barbecue that works great. I recommend it if you are looking for a rural stay away from the stress of the city and to disconnect.

Everything was great & we got great recommendations for the area. Upon arrival, we met at a nearby cafe and were escorted to the accommodation. On site, we were very warmly welcomed and received the first information. After half the stay, we even got fresh towels. Unfortunately, two things are not apparent from the description: the view of the lake is obscured by trees & you have direct neighbors. But that didn't bother us & we would always come back!
