Guesthouse vacation rentals in Crete

Christos is a great guy! He gave us free dancing lessons at his dance studio which was very fun. He also let us use some of the facilities at his hotel which was awesome. I will say that the beds in the apartment are very uncomfortable and can be hard to sleep on but that is the only downside to the apartment and otherwise it is worth the money we paid .

Nous avons adoré profiter de la terrasse arrière avec les chiens (surtout le petit vieux) et prendre notre dejeuner en leurs compagnies. Le soir, les chats nous rejoignaient pour l’apéro dans la cour. Tres relaxant. On ne savait pas trop si on pouvait explorer les environs.

This is a beautiful, and very peaceful cottage with super-fast WiFi, a large bathroom with heaps of hot water, an excellent desk and a very comfortable bed. No-one could have been more friendly and helpful and full of information, arrival was easy and I found that Nikki (Electra’s mother) had left the perfect staples to start me off when I hadn’t had time to go shopping. The village in which the cottage is is also friendly, with vans selling excellent cheese and bread etc. The three next door villages all have very charming tavernas, and as a woman alone I always felt safe and welcomed. I enjoyed walking up onto Mt Psiloritis/Ida, and exploring all the small villages and churches nearby, as well as having a peaceful time working.

I had a wonderful 3-week stay in Kastri! Charlotte was so helpful with arranging a car and giving tips for the area. The apartment is beautiful and well-appointed, it had everything I needed. The views and village are really quite special.

Nous y sommes restés peu de temps mais se fut très agréable très calme. Le chant qui émane du monastère le matin est très reposant pleins de sérénités. La maison est très bien tenue, manolis nous a accueilli chaleureusement avec des petites attentions chaque jours. Bémol sur les moustiques (munissez vous d’une prise anti moustique) et la climatisation qui ne marchait pas dans le salon. Le jardin est très beau très bien entretenu il faut en profiter. La propriétaire est super. Merci pour votre gentillesse. A noté la taverne à 5mins à pieds du logement est une bonne adresse pour y manger.

If you’re looking for a peaceful, relaxing, and comfortable place to stay while vacationing in Crete, this is your place. The house is a blend of modern amenities with traditional architecture. Outside you are surrounded by the most beautiful and tranquil garden to recharge the mind, body and soul. Flowers and fruit trees galore. The house itself would be an enjoyable vacation but if you want to explore Crete and leave the property, transportation to the city and beach is quick and accessible. Or you can explore the village of Archanes by foot and enjoy great restaurants, cafes, markets and bakeries while greeted by friendly locals. Maria is the icing on the cake. She’s one of the most caring and beautiful people you’ll ever meet. She goes above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable from the moment she greets you. She proudly gives you a history of Crete, recommendations, always smiling and answering any questions. I can’t wait to return next year!

Nous avons passé une semaine très agréable dans la petite maison d'hôtes de Aliki et Niko. L'environnement est superbe, très belle vue sur la mer, en pleine nature, au milieu des oliviers, des vignes, des caroubiers. C'est calme et reposant. Les plages et criques environnantes sont superbes. Aliki et Niko sont très chaleureux, accueillants et discrets. Aliki nous a donné de bons conseils. L'espace extérieur, le patio avec son salon avec un ventilateur est très agréable. Nous y prenions nos petits déjeuners et déjeuners. La cuisine extérieure est bien aménagée et très pratique. La douche extérieure est très agréable. Une petite cuisine intérieure et belle salle de bain au rez de chaussée et le salon et l'espace nuit sont au 1er étage. Nous avons vraiment apprécié la quiétude des lieux. Merci Aliki et Nico.

Eind september verbleven in dit geweldige appartement. Heerlijke ruimte met fijn balkon, prachtig uitzicht! Nette parkeerplaats en het huis is van alle gemakken voorzien. Het strand voor de deur is geweldig met verschillende restaurants waar je op een bedje kan liggen. In de avond erg rustig, maar alsnog erg leuk uiteten geweest in de straat.

Εξαιρετικοί οικοδεσπότες η Ματίνα και ο Γιώργος! Ήταν πολύ εξυπηρετικοί και φιλόξενοι! Το διαμέρισμα είναι επιπλωμένο και εξοπλισμένο με γούστο και μεράκι! Τα πάντα αστράφτουν από καθαριότητα! Περιβάλλεται από έναν πανέμορφο κήπο, όπου απολαύσαμε το βραδυνό ποτό μας. Θα το επισκεφτούμε ξανά σίγουρα.

If you are looking for a little paradise in a remote place, close to the beach and with a amazing view and you want to deeply relax and recharge - this is your place. Eva is an inspiring person and created a magical home there. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, new and clean bathroom and a lot of space to practice Yoga, relax in the shade or on your terrace... I would come back here whenever I visit Crete and stay longer. I highly recommend spending at least a few days or even longer here. Love it!

Die Unterkunft von Alex und Kostas ist einfach nur herrlich. Alex ist ein sehr zuvorkommender und super Gastgeber. Ich habe mich in der Zeit bei ihm sehr wohl und willkommen gefühlt. Ich kann jedem nur empfehlen die Unterkunft zu buchen und sich selbst davon zu überzeugen. Von der Lage her macht man nichts falsch, da es generell empfehlenswert ist einen Mietwagen zu buchen, diesen kann man jedoch in unmittelbarer Nähe parken. Rethymnon und Matala sind ungefähr 1,5h entfernt, wenn man nach Chania oder zur Samaria Schlucht möchte muss man bis zu 3h fahren. Dennoch hatte ich eine tolle Zeit. Abends kann man sich noch im Innenhof entspannen und den Abend ausklingen. Vielen Dank nochmal an Alex und seine tolle Unterkunft. Immer wieder gerne

Sehr schöne, liebevoll eingerichtete Unterkunft. Die Kinder fanden die Katzen besonders toll. Martina hatte uns auch Spielzeug hingelegt. Es gibt tolle Strände und Restaurants in der Nähe. Martina und Nico sind tolle Gastgeberinnen.

This was seriously the most welcoming experience we've had on Airbnb. End to end perfect. A warm host that was always available when needed, a house equipped with everything you can ever need during a short trip plus a few beers and local produce for free to get you started, an amazing shared swimming pool, quietness, a house that keeps cool even during 40 degree summer days, a great location near the beach by car. We truly recommend this place and would surely visit again.

La struttura offerta da Sofia e sua sorella è davvero un paradiso immerso nella natura cretese. Si può usufruire degli spazi comuni come il giardino, la cucina, la terrazza e la tavola all'esterno. Ci siamo trovati benissimo, eravamo gli unici ospiti (ma abbiamo sempre avuto la compagnia di tutti i loro gatti) ma credo sia un bellissimo ambiente anche da vivere in condivisione. Le istruzioni per check in/ check out sono state precisissime, la comunicazione molto efficace, veloce e amichevole, e buonissimi i consigli che ci hanno dato. Ci torneremo appena possibile!

Wir wurden herzlich von Julie empfangen. Und fühlten uns sehr wohl dort. Alles war da was wir benötigten. Ein sehr traditionelles Dorf mit alten Steinhäusern . Auch Julies Steinhaus ist mit sehr viel Bedacht und Liebe zum Detail gestaltet. Leider konnten wir nur eine Nacht bleiben. Aber wir kommen gerne wieder.

It was a very relaxing stay at Andreas place. The beach is just across the street, the supermarket is 100 m away, and there are plenty of restaurants around. Our aim was mostly spend time at the beach, so it was very convenient. I think this is a great option for solo travelers because you can leave all your valuables in the room while staying at the beach. In addition, there are plenty of other beaches in Palaiochora which you can reach on foot or rent a bike. Don't be afraid of the snack bar, there is no smell of cooking anywhere on the territory, it works from 9 to 5 pm, and it's peaceful and quiet in the evening. Andreas allowed us to sit at the bar tables when the restaurant was not working, and we could enjoy the sea view and sunset from there. Additionally, we had our own table outside facing the beach. Andreas was super friendly, always available, and very helpful. We also enjoyed the E4 walking path from Palaiochora to Sougia and taking the ferry back.

Wir sind überglücklich mit der Wahl von Laras Unterkunft. Mit einer Lage zwischen Chania und Rethymno sind viele Ziele nie weiter als 40min mit dem Auto entfernt. Zum Strand sind es 15 min. Zurückgezogen im Hinterland ist die Ruhe einfach herrlich. Die verträumten Bergdörfer um die Ecke sollte man unbedingt besucht haben. Lara ist eine äußerst freundliche, zuvorkommende und großzügige Gastgeberin. Die Einrichtung der Unterkunft und vor allem der große Außenbereich sind überaus stilvoll gestaltet. Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt! Wir werden Shamballa sehr vermissen!
