Joanne and Martin were the most thoughtful hosts. The gite had everything you could possibly need and was beautifully furnished and cosy. The pool area is gorgeous, great for relaxing on a sunny afternoon. A huge thank you to Joanne and Martin for accommodating our booking at short notice and for making us feel at home straight away. Wow! We loved every minute at Maison des Chanoines. Matilde is an incredible host, the home is beautifully decorated and spacious, the garden is unbelievable, and the location is fantastic. We wish we had more time to spend there. A special part of our stay was the cooking class with Patrice. We went to the market to buy our food and prepared a delicious meal that we enjoyed in the garden. So special! Do not hesitate to book your stay and tell Matilde we say Bon Jour!

We had a pleasant stay at Emmy's house. The house has a lot of character and is ideally located to visit this pretty area! It is located at the entrance to Gluges, a very beautiful little village hanging from the cliffs. Swimming points and canoe bases are very easy to walk from the property. Nearby is also the very pretty medieval town of Martel and the area is full of beautiful walks to do. We enjoyed enjoying the small courtyard in front of the house. Emmy is very responsive and informed us about all the activities we can do. We'd definitely come back and recommend this place:)

We spent a wonderful five days in Patricia’s Blue Lily, using it as a base to explore Sarlat and some of the many castles, caves, gardens and cycle paths in the area. Her apartment is bright, airy, aesthetically beautiful and so welcoming - with soft white linens, a large comfortable bed with lots of space around it, windows overlooking Medieval courtyards and alleys, a full-size dining table and chairs looking onto a huge hearth, good lighting, a fully equipped kitchen including washer and dryer, separate toilet and tub/shower/sink (lots of hot water and good water pressure in the shower), toiletries and supplies, an orientation binder filled with instructions, recommendations and brochures, a book basket with guides on local attractions, and even a welcome basket of local treats. Patricia was proactive and easy to communicate with throughout our reservation, check-in, stay and check-out. Her passion for the Blue Lily and Sarlat are evident. Thank you, Patricia… we’ll be back!

We had a very pleasant stay of 12 days with four people. In the house it stays cool inside, even if it is very hot outside. The house is cozily furnished in French and much bigger than the pictures suggest. The garden with a swimming pool is heaven on earth. You will have privacy and lots of shade through the trees. The only drawbacks: the chairs and the sofa in the sitting area. These are very old and therefore not suitable for people with back problems. The biggest plus: the photos in the listing don't show the house well. In reality, the house and garden are bigger and more beautiful. For us, that was a pleasant surprise. We definitely recommend Jocelyne's home!

Lovely stay in the heart of Sarlat. The apartment retained its historic features but was also modern and comfortable. Location was ideal with plenty of paid parking nearby. Great base to explore the small towns and prehistoric caves of the Dordogne. Our contact Lucie was very responsive and helpful and gave good recommendations. Will stay again next time we’re in the region.

"We did a long term stay with Tyler (1 month) during the Christmas holiday and he was an absolutely exceptional host! He was a clear and timely communicator from the moment we booked until the moment we left. He showed the utmost care and respect for us during our stay and always answered questions we had very quickly. The place is beautifully decorated with unique pieces and antiques. It is absolutely our favorite Airbnb we've ever stayed in. The bed was very comfortable and when the winter sun streamed in the windows, it felt so cozy. The location is on one of the most picturesque streets in Sarlat and is just steps away from everything, the market, the shops, the cathedral, etc... We would stay at Tyler's place again in a heartbeat if we have the good fortune to return to Sarlat in the future. It was a phenomenal experience.”

It was just missing the sheets for the click-clack which is to be avoided if you have back problems. In the landfill of the hosts, I had not specified the need for 2 separate beds for the night. Despite this small downside, I would recommend this property without hesitation!

Nicholas’s studio apartment is in fabulous situation for exploring the delightful town of Brive. The apartment is clean, attractive and well maintained. Good shower too. Nicholas responds well to any messages. We didn’t meet Nicholas however his check i details were easy to follow., The added bonus of a rather large terrace/ balcony was lovely. Bear in mind there are 50 steps from the ground floor to the apartment so if you struggle with stairs it’s no for you. We didn’t have a problem with it. Lots of lovely places to eat and fabulous wine bars. Particularly liked the Halle across the road for breakfast and the Saturday morning market. We can highly recommend

A perfect position, a few minutes walk from the historic centre, and easy to come and go from. The home was comfortable with all the amenities we needed for our 4 day stay. We did not meet our hosts, but they were very helpful in sending recommendations for sites and restaurants in the area and very quick to respond to our questions. I would not hesitate to recommend this place as a perfect base for a stay in the Dordogne area.

Had a wonderful stay, within walking distance of Sarlat. Clean comfortable and well equipped apartment, maggie always on hand for information. All English channels on TV. Lovely small balcony to have breakfast, which smelt beautifully from the jasmine, Wine in the fridge on arrival very much appreciated. All in all a fab apartment which I would recommend.

We thank Lucien, warm and very responsive host. Her place was spotless and conveniently located. Traffic is, however, quite important which causes a little noise in the evening but in general, everything was perfect and in line with the description.

A path bordered by lush greenery leads to a spacious property. The residential area displays well-maintained buildings under a clear sky. Nearby, a parking area is visible, with soft hills and trees framing the background.
