A detached stone cottage in the heart of the north Pennines. Stunning views. With fantastic footpaths, cycle routes straight from the door for those with plenty of energy as it is hilly. Great base for exploring the area. With pubs and coop 5 minute drive or 25 minute walk. Recently renovated to a high standard but still feels characterful and cosy. Underfloor heating, induction hob and super insulated. 2 well behaved dogs only are allowed for a small fee. Sorry no other pets allowed.

100 yr old house, peaceful green nook Durham City

Characterful terraced house, over one hundred years old, on top of a steep hill overlooking the cathedral and castle. 10-15 min walking distance to city centre, bus and railway stations, 5 min walk to supermarket. Free, but limited, on-street parking. This is a unique place. It is very quiet, because we are surrounded by gardens, the school playing field and the woods (the local nature reserve). We have seen deer, foxes, badgers and woodpeckers, but we are actually within Durham City!!
