Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Council of the City of Sydney

Our experience was wonderful. The terrace house was very comfortable and well appointed. Peter was super responsive and flexible as a host. Although we chose the location to primarily be close to family in Redfern, we found it to also be wonderfully close to transit, and great local coffee shops, cafes and bakeries.

The house had all the essential items, like what we have at home. The cookwares were incredible, much more than we expected even including a mini wok! The three bedrooms and 2 bathrooms were so clean. Laundry machines were good too, separated washer and dryer. You don't need to bring anything to move into this house except toothpaste and toothbrush. The treat was great too - Oreo and Chips. The host provides more than enough towels and 3 hair dryers. Overall, this is a great house, highly recommended.

We can highly recommend Melinda‘s place as it is a home from home and in a great location. Malinda did everything she could to welcome us and make our stay enjoyable. She was very flexible and accommodating, which we much appreciated. The home itself is furnished to a high standard and has many homely features. We particularly enjoyed the garden as it was laid out well for us to sit around the table and chat. Everything worked well and was well thought out. The air conditioning was particularly appreciated as Sydney gets hot and humid in summer. Finally, I have to say something about the location as the Airbnb is in a fantastic spot that has a real village feel to it and is one of the nicest locations I’ve been to in Sydney. Melinda’s home was a lovely space place to spend a week and was very easy getting into town from the train station as it is just around the corner. All in all one of our best ever Airbnb stays.

I really enjoyed my stay at this wonderful Airbnb, a great location to see everything Sydney has to offer. Very tastefully designed and holds the charm that is Camperdown/ Newtown houses. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this Airbnb to anyone.

Tammy’s home was so clean and welcoming- as soon as we walked in, we felt right at home. It had everything we needed for our two young children- we all had a wonderful stay! It was very central and Tammy was a great host and had very effective communication. We would love to stay again!

Laura’s place was great. The house was perfect for what we needed. Easy to get to and lovely inside. There was quite a lot of street noise and homeless people which might not be for everyone

Loved our stay here! The house was welcoming, lots of natural light, well equipped and nice and clean. Great modern bathroom. The street is nice and quiet and it was always pretty easy to find a car park nearby if not right out the front. Only a few minutes walk to the main streets and close to Woolworths and some good cafes. Our kids loved the park right across the street. Roslyn was a great host, she gave clear instructions and was very responsive.

funky neighbourhood. lovely row house with friendly neighbours. high quality linens . comfortable furniture. well equipped. Cool looking narrow steep staircase leads to the second floor where there are two bedrooms and full bathroom.

Jenny was fabulous and responsive, allowed me to checkin early and helped me move in .. The apartment was just as advertised met all my expectations.. Highly recommend this apartment convenient location and was very quiet .

We loved our stay at Julia’s place. The space was tidy and well stocked. The area is super chilled and relaxing with great restaurants Julia was very helpful and accommodating.

I stayed at Ian's place for the weekend. The location was really convenient and the place itself was nice and cosy. I would stay in this place again :)

Great flat, very close to everything. Only down is that there is no lift, but apart of that, fantastic airbnb. Lola left a lot of things for our little man to play.

Lovely and spacious basement/ground level flat -- bigger and slightly nicer than the photos show. Had a portable AC unit set up in the living room which was a godsend, and we loved the back patio. Loads of great restaurants within a few minutes' walk, and Jess was super responsive with sightseeing recommendations. Only cons were the floors were pretty thin so we could hear heavy footsteps from the floor above, and we had to spray a few big cockroaches (perhaps inevitable in Sydney). Overall we had a wonderful stay!

Nice place in the perfect location

Great location. Very close to the city Centre, the royal botanic garden and the opera house. Took about 30min to walk there. Everything you need is close by. No busy streets directly in front. Very aesthetic and cute interior and overall very happy to have stayed here for my first 3 nights in Sydney.

A very comfortable unit. Has everything you are likely to need. Easy access to Sydney City attractions and airport. Very convenient to restaurants, cafes and supermarket. Will likely stay again.

Brendan’s place was as described . Close to everything . Very clean . The arcade games were a bonus myself and the kids loved ! He was a great host with great communication .

Glen’s place was in a great location, and he was kind enough to let me check in a bit earlier, which I really appreciated. It’s very easy to get to from the airport, and there are lots of cute cafes and dining spots in the area. I hadn’t explored this side of Sydney before and truly enjoyed discovering it. The space is small but ideal for a solo traveller or a couple who plans to spend most of their time out and doesn’t need to cook much beyond tea or a sandwich. While it’s an interior studio and faces a wall -it is surrounded by beautiful plants, including a lovely monstera, so it feels quite private and green. The washing machine is a fantastic perk, and although there are occasional announcements from the nearby centre, I didn’t find them disruptive. The only things I would tweak are the gap between the bed and the wall, which makes it a bit less comfortable when sitting up, and the lighting—I would have liked a stronger light source. Perfect for a short stay.

The apartment was spotless, had everything we needed & the location was perfect, so central. It also felt as if we'd found a slightly hidden gem right in the heart of the CBD. Sharon was more than helpful when we asked if we could drop our bags off earlier. A very welcoming host.

This is a lovely apartment that is nicely decorated in keeping with the Art Deco theme of the area. Clean, comfortable, and quiet yet located in the heart of a trendy area with good restaurants, nice little bars and terrific coffee shops. Excellent access to publ8c transportation and a 25 min walk to the central business district (CBD.) We slept great on a comfortable mattress with nice linens in this quiet building and neighborhood. Absolutely anything you could possibly need, is right at your fingertips including all the appliance manuals and beach towels. Our host was friendly and kept us wonderfully up- to-date during a short neighborhood internet outage. We enjoyed our four week stay very much. The apartment is small but it worked very well for us.
