Snail House-unique stay for birders and wildlife

LoriRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Excellent communication with fast response times! The Snail house is new and is well built. It’s obvious much time, money and thought went into it. All the amenities that you need for a jungle stay included. Surprises were hammocks, portable chairs, & rechargeable flashlights. The covered outdoor kitchen is well-stocked and has a full size fridge, microwave, coffee maker and gas range. This large space also has a dining table for 6, plenty of outdoor seating and a modern LG washer & dryer. The walled, well-lit outdoor shower is great with ambient lighting for a memorable evening shower. Spending time on the porch afforded some wildlife encounters. They have a small outdoor podium to put fruit on which draws in birds and monkeys. There for 6 days, a troupe of capuchin monkeys descended around the porch and danced through the trees eyeing me with curiosity. Also included are 4 well-mannered dogs. Tip- Go to BM for groceries, fresh breads, pastries and juices and bring your own ba

Indigenous Art Center

Volmar and Rosa were lovely people. We enjoyed painting and learning and participating in the process of making chocolate. We don’t speak Spanish so that was somewhat challenging. We stayed in the cabin which was right next to Volmar’s house so very convenient. The bathroom is outside down a few stairs with a typical cold shower but the beds were comfortable. I would recommend staying with this nice family and learning some of the traditions. We were only there one day and two nights so staying longer would be more educational.

Gorgeous Rustic Cabin BnB

NathanRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Everyone was very accommodating and made me feel right at home from the very beginning. I saw monkeys, a sloth and lots of colourful birds on the property. The bed was very comfortable along with the new pillows and linens. If you’re looking to get away from the city, relax and enjoy nature, I highly recommend the stay.

Black-Headed Farm Cabin

VanessaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
This cabin is by far the best Airbnb rental I have ever found. Completely isolated from the neighbours, just the sound of birds and monkeys, with hiking trails to waterfalls and a great restaurant only a 10 minute walk away. The wifi connection was fast, and having the use of a washing machine and a full size fridge and freezer made the stay even better, I was able to harvest all the plantains, bananas, papayas and pineapples in the yard, and freeze the surplus, so I had fresh food to cook everyday. I will be returning here, it was just phenomenal.
