Great experience and friendly hosts. We felt safe staying in the jungle! The only downside was the construction on the road near by that would not allow Ubers to get to us. Otherwise, amazing experience!

Incredible place to stay near Monteverde. The pictures don’t do it justice - this was such a beautiful location and view. A quiet, safe, relaxing spot to watch wildlife off the back deck, or see distant lightning storms as you fall asleep in the comfortable bed. Would highly recommend staying here.

Perfect spot! Beautiful views

The house is lovely and cozy, and the view is amazing. The road there was rougher than we expected, but nothing too bad. Our second day was somewhat inconvenient, but Lauren kept communication open and solved the problems for us. Still thankful they accommodated us, as it was a last-minute trip.

Stayed 2 months and 10 days at the wooden cabin, and I was genuinely saddened to leave. It was actually hard for me to leave this place. Abel is literally a problem solver. He jumps right in when problems arise to come up with solutions. Enjoy his sense of humor in Spanish, if you can. Spent Xmas dinner with this man and the kindest volunteer at the farm, and I wouldn't trade my end-of-year plans with anyone for anything. It was all perfect as it was. There's a beautiful community living there. Treat yourself to seclusion with a nice, clean, private swimming pool by a short walk to a waterfall and the river. Living here is a gift. Thanks, Brenda, for the humble care of the horses, the plants, and the garden. Thanks, above all, for sharing your property ;) All the best to you all!

beautiful place! Just for the city getaway for peace and tranquility. The cabin is small but has everything you need, I would definitely come back! The sheets, bathroom and everything was super clean. I'm just missing the Netflix, they don't have it available... Overall, I was fascinated.

An excellent place to get out of your routine, clear your mind and spend time surrounded by nature. It feels a lot of peace and tranquility. A lovely place to spend time as a couple or with the family. Easy to get to and accessible for any vehicle.

This place was cozy and relaxing. A nice getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city while still being close. it felt like a private resort and the pool was well maintained. welved all the nature and plants around the Casita.

Large house with windows to all sides, only forest around, quiet place, good supply of firewood for fireplace well located and safe. Well equipped kitchen, maybe add 1 or 2 knives to cut. Nature included a nest in process on the terrace.

This was by far one of our absolute favorites!! We booked last min for just an overnight visit and was sad to leave. We could have easily spent our entire vacation there. The cabin was spotless, had comfy beds, gorgeous gardens and wildlife all around. Rick was super responsive to all of my questions and even shared some photos of the toucans prior to even arriving. Thank you so much for making my mom’s visit even better than she could have imagined. We can’t wait to come back and visit.

Joe and Sue were amazing hosts! We arrived in the evening and immediately had an activity plannend early next morning. But breakfast was already prepared and was waiting for us in the fridge so we didn’t have to go with an empty stomach. They proactively arranged the taxis for us, another thing we didn’t not have to worry about. Joe and Sue are very lovely people with an amazing property and location. In the morning we did activities and in the afternoon we enjoyed the large swimming pool. Also a big shoutout to Ellie, she is the cook who made amazing 3 course dinners every evening for us. Definitely recommend this place!

Spectacular, perfect to spend time quietly and away from everything. Easy to get to, the house is very spacious, clean and with everything it said in the descriptions. There is a restaurant and grocery stores nearby. 100% recommended.

Nice place. You can spot animals from the porch. There is no separate bedroom. The shower temperature is difficult to control. Furthermore, we had a great time. Host was helpful and quick to respond

Absolutely recommend this place! Lovely wodden cabin very close to a beach (Playa Ballena) we basically had to ourselves. Fantastic Playa Arco is just a 15 min stroll away. The house has many lovely details and the porch is perfect for escaping the heat in the afternoon. We would definitely repeat if we visit the Uvita area again.

Essencia Lodge is a wonderful place, secluded and beautifully embedded in nature. There is nothing missing and you relax almost automatically. Super tastefully furnished, it is wonderful to sit by the fireplace or in the hot pool, to bathe in the river or just to listen to the animals! Thank you very much Bari! A very special treasure is Miguel, the "caretaker" who impressed us with his warmth and helped us out of a bind twice - thank you again, dear Miguel! It is also fantastic that you can be cooked for if you do not want to prepare something yourself. It was delicious! Overall, really unreservedly recommended for all who love nature!
