Beachfront vacation rentals in Costa Rica

To be honest everything about this place was better than we expected it to be. The house was bigger and the beach was more beautiful. It really is a fantastic place to stay and it is run by the people who really care. We would be very happy to go back there again.

Great location, the beach is at front and with great access walking. The pool has a good size and the house is very well equipped.

We had a great time at David's place. There were 7 of us and we had plenty of room between the bedrooms, main living area, back patio and the pool, and the deck above the pool area. Beautiful views and easy access to the ocean. The pool was cleaned every day and the cleaner came twice during our 11 day stay. The kitchen is more than adequately equipped and there was plenty of room for multiple people to be cooking or visiting in the kitchen. The iguana's were everywhere and we enjoyed the two cats that came around regularly. Communication with the house manager was good. She does work a full time job in addition to managing the house so the responses aren't immediate, but they happened rather quickly.. She setup the private chef for us who catered to our various dietary needs. It was delicious! Would definitely stay here again!

this is probably the best kept secret on the Osa peninsula. if you are the type of person not looking for opulence but rather peace and tranquility in a more rugged setting than a lodge, this place is for you. there are no walls. therefore, there will be bugs in your house and there will be bats in your house. there are bug nets for the beds though. if you embrace the experience it offers, it's the best place you could go to in Costa Rica.

Amazing Stay at Pipas Surf House! We had an incredible time at Pipas Surf House! From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The atmosphere is relaxed, welcoming, and perfect for surfers and travelers looking for a great place to stay. Our host was extremely helpful and friendly, always going out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Whether it was local recommendations, surf advice, or just great conversation, they made our stay even better. The accommodations were comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed for a perfect surf getaway. If you're looking for a laid-back, homey place to stay with an incredible gym, Pipas Surf House is the spot. We can’t wait to come back!

I’ve been to CR multiple times in Airbnb. This was by far the best place Ive stayed in. Spectacular house, spacing and little things (good kitchen, pool patio everything)…Katie was a great host, responsive and most importantly a really nice person. Highly recommend 🤙🏼

Incredible home and location on the east coast of the nicoya pennisula in Costa Rica. Adventerous sand drive up requiring 4x4, awesome pool and nice accomadation. Only problem with Montezuma is how hot it is there all the time, but the fans and pool helped ameliorate the heat for the cool location.

Location was great, the place was spacious, very clean and well equipped. The pool was amazing. We enjoyed very much our stay and would highly recommend it!

My family stayed here for a brief stay and it was amazing! The pictures were spot on to the actual in person view! The inside of the home was large, clean and just beautiful. Plenty of room for us all! The private pool was an absolute gem to have! Highly recommend this place!

Absolutely loved staying in Karen and Chiri’s beautiful home. Karen met us at check in and was very friendly and welcoming. She was kind enough to bring us homemade banana bread and delicious local blue bananas. The house was very private, tastefully decorated and felt quite safe. The backyard pool and view from the bedroom balcony were our favorite parts. The kitchen was well stocked and had all necessary amenities, bed was comfy. The house was within walking distance of the beach and several stores and restaurants. Highly recommend dining at Los Almendros, Karen and Chiri’s restaurant. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful home right on the beach with amazing host who was always right there to assist when needed. The home was immaculate and beds very comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could need. The living room was a great relaxing spot and my favourite was the patio table overlooking the pool. We loved this home and you can tell the owner takes pride in hosting. We will be back at the first opportunity . Highly recommended. Thank you for an amazing few days!

The sunsets alone were worth every penny!! We raced back to the house every night just to watch the colors change. The house itself is quaint, clean, organized and quite perfect! It’s small but they have what is needed to hang your clothes as there is not a lot of room to leave open luggage. Our family ran and played on the quiet beach. I think we saw 5 people total.. great hard packed sand for morning and evening walks. There was a spot that was very dirty (glass, plastic, etc) from high tide that you would want to wear shoes to walk through. Giovanni was thorough in communications and quick to respond! His directions were very much appreciated. We knew there weren’t a ton of amenities nearby. But it’s no joke, when you leave the house pack what you need as it’s not near activities and has very limited eating. Not an issue for most - just a heads up!

Our stay was absolutely fantastic through and through. The location cannot be beat as its steps from the most beautiful beach. The back patio was shockingly private and offered a retreat from beach goers. The house its self was stocked with everything you need. It was definitely rustic which we loved but be aware that it has a bit of “glamping” vibe. Daniela was a fabulous host and made every accommodation for us to have the perfect trip and was responsive to all our questions.

This two-story condo #3 is a gem of a place on one of the flattest, accessible beaches on Costa Rica's Pacific Coast, Playa Flamingo. The Palms condo community is a mix of renters and owners - everyone was friendly without being overly intrusive. The onsite management was professional and responsive. There are a lot of staff onsite all day (bartender, groundkeepers, construction, etc.), so please know this when considering your privacy preferences. Condo #3 is situated toward one of the ends, so beachfront is in front of it vs the pool area. Steps from the fitness center and outdoor free equipment storage/massage tent. The condo was clean and comfortable. The master bed and pillows were very comfortable. Two picky things I suggest are charging stations for each nightstand and an outlet in the master bathroom for a hairdryer/electric razor. A 15 minute walk from the marina, and several shopping and restaurant options. Would highly recommend The Palms, especially unit 3.

Pros: - Having direct access to the beach was very nice - Being within walking distance of the whole town, with lots of restaurants and a store - The grounds keeper is there everyday, so he can provide you with anything that you need -Best AC we experienced in Costa Rica - Easy drive to Diamante Adventure Park, and well worth the money to do the full day pass Cons: - The days we shared the beach with the front property, felt like we were stepping on each others' toes using the chairs and hammocks - Between the bedroom & kitchen is an open air dining area, which means in order to get a late night snack/drink you have to get fully dressed and be prepared for the bugs - There is a motion sense alarm in the yard that auto sets, so remembering to turn it off before setting the alarm off was tricky sometimes.

Our stay at Jarrod’s place was incredible! Best vacation house you could ask for. Perfect location right on the beach but still super private. Having a swimming pool right on the ocean is about as good as it gets, we usually spend most of our vacation time at the beach but this house was so great we wound up spending more time by the pool. Also the house is stocked very well, everything an Airbnb/rental house should have this house has. Jarrod was very accommodating and helped us with transportation and Covid testing at the house. I highly recommend this to anyone visiting the Playa Negra area! We will definitely be coming back!

OBSESSED. The views, the space, the communication, the location… y’all. We’re sooooooo happy with our stay!!! We felt like kids in a candy shop exploring this house. It’s just SO beautiful. The decor and amenities inside are super thoughtful. The views are breathtaking!! We loved sitting on the porch sipping coffee, reading, etc. We loved the proximity to Father Rooster’s—a sweet little restaurant close by. It’s super tourist-friendly, but still felt authentic. Check in was smooth, after making contact with the on-site security (which we greatly appreciated!!). Communication with our host throughout the process was flawless! A couple of things to note: 1) The A/C units worked perfectly in the bedrooms; keeping the main living area cool during the heat of the day was a little tougher. But you are in Central America, after all! 2) The main bed was too soft for us. 3) Keep in mind that CR is a developing country, this house is on the edge of the neighborhood, and CR driving is nutty!

Are stay was awesome. The house and location were perfect, everything was as described online. The location was for us. This beach isnt really a family beach. but it close enough we're you can a day trip Manua Antonio or even Jaco. The sunset where amazing. They do have a pool in the community. The pictures are beautiful but they still do not do Paolo and Perry’s justice. We had miles of beach in both directions to ourselves most days and if any of the locals came down to the beach they were pleasant. Ideal for surfing with shallows that allow standing before catching a wave. Nauyaca Falls is just a short drive away and gorgeous with a large natural pool at the bottom to swim in. It was like something out of a travel magazine. Paolo and Perry’s property is literally 500 yards from beachside jungle where on morning walks we saw toucans , macaws, monkeys, and sloths. On our second morning while drinking coffee on the patio I literally looked up into the trees and there was a sloth sacked out in the branches above! On three nights Flori, the concierge, arranged for a chef to cook delicious meals. The price was reasonable. She also helped arrange kayaking through nearby mangroves with a terrific guide. Dominical is close by with several fun places to eat. We will be back!

Our family really enjoyed our relaxing stay here. The views, the pool, and the patio were all perfect places to relax and enjoy our time together. The kitchen was well equipped. The 3 bedrooms all had their own nice en suite bathrooms which was great! I'd highly recommend this for a relaxing stay in an off the beaten path oceanfront spot! As other I read in other reviews, the beach did have lots of driftwood and some trash that had washed up. This didn't detract from our stay at all, but worth noting if that would bother you. Jorge was great with communication before and during our trip. The restaurant he recommended right outside the gated community was a great meal and the family running the restaurant were very welcoming and accommodating.
