Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Cookham

We stayed here as had a family wedding close by. It was comfortable and we enjoyed being able to walk to local shops and cafes.

From the very start to leaving the communication was brilliant. The home is in the most amazing location. We was fortunate that we knew we wanted to stay here and Fiona was accommodating to our request. We had a brilliant time and if ever back in the area would hope that we could get back! Fabulous stay, house is amazing and in a great location with beautiful views of the river. Close to restaurants and the town, would definitely recommend!

This was my second time at The Mews and I couldn’t recommend more! It’s very private and peaceful but very close to lots of things. There was plenty of space and the welcome basket was the sweetest touch! Will definitely be booking again!

We found Elliot’s place was perfect for our family with grandparents, parents and children. It was obvious that Elliot had children as there was everything we needed for a toddler and a baby. The fact that we could walk into town to the shops, restaurants, parks and river was a bonus as we didn’t have to load the children in and out of the car. There was plenty of off street parking too. The only small negative was that the backyard no longer had grass/lawn for the children to play on. We enjoyed it so much that we could easily see ourselves living in Henley.

Can’t express how gorgeous this property is. It was perfect for my wife and her bridesmaids to get ready the morning of our wedding. John and Jo have everything there that you might need, thank you so much for being so thoughtful.

What a delightful gem! we stayed at Sam's sweet clockhouse for two nights, and wish we could have stayed longer. It was warm, spacious, and very comfortable. the beautiful countryside (as well as some shops and restaurants) is close by. Sam was welcoming, flexible, and kind. Decent chance we'll be back :)

Had a lovely stay in this cosy and comfortable home. Well equipped with reliable wifi. Quiet location. Easy to find. Local shop just a few minutes walk. Only 15-minute walk to Wargrave high street. Just what we needed as a base for a short stay in the area. Enjoyed sitting in the garden and soaking up the sun.

We stayed in Nadia´s house for 3 months and we felt at home there, everything is as described in the ad, the mattress is really confortable and we slept like a log there, the bathroom has a perfect shower, the washing machine and all the appliances work really well, the kitchen is well equipped with all you may need and more. Apart from that, the house is full of light because it has two beautiful windows through which you can see a wonderful garden. We were lucky because we stayed there in spring and the tree was full of stunning flowers. We only slept in the bed on the "ground" floor, but there is also a mattress in the loft you can use if you have children. The neighbourhood is peaceful and safe, and it was a pleasure to walk from there to the bus stop listening to a wide variety of birds´ chirps. There are also supermarkets, pubs and restaurants in the area, and a bus stop within walking distance, so it is well connected to the city center. We´ve had a wonderful stay!! Thank you!!!

We had a perfect stay, the place was just what we needed for a family of 4 (kids 12 and 9). We used the nearby buses, tube and overground to get around. We went in to central London, Richmond and up to Wembley during our stay and all within easy reach. The accommodation really suited our needs, clean and spacious and we enjoyed the local pub, bakery and coffee options! Quentin was a super host, welcomed us on check in, gave us some great recommendations and made sure we had no issues during our stay. Thanks for the late check out too! Highly recommend.

4th time I’ve stayed. Nice clean flat in superb location near Westbourne Grove, good pubs and coffee shops away from the bustle of Portobello Road but close enough by to wander over. Comfortable bed and nice bathroom. All in all a really good flat

This apartment was wonderful. Very clean and quiet!! We enjoyed the quiet street and the lovely neighborhood very much. The apartment was very close to a grocery store, restaurants, and the trains! We were able to check in early which we really appreciated because our cruise ship arrived in a Southampton very early. I definitely want to come back to London and will stay here again. We didn’t drink the free bottle of wine but appreciated the gesture. We actually planned to but by the time we got back to the apartment each night we were full! Thank you Mary Ann and Dal for your hospitality!

Neil’s place was ideal in so many ways. I was in London for an intense exam week, held nearby, and needed a place to base myself. I loved that the area was buzzy and alive yet the apartment was still quiet and I could concentrate. The bedroom in the back was very peaceful. There was everything needed in both the apartment (full kitchen, dishwasher, washing machine with iron and ironing board, clothes drying racks etc) and from the immediate vincinity from nearby supermarkets, exercise places or a walk around Hyde Park. Transportation was very easy, being a one minute walk to Notting Hill Gate tube with access to the Central, Circle and District lines. There are also plenty of bus stops (I took one across the road to Paddington station the day I left) and walking is possible to lots of places. I couldn’t recommend this place enough if you’re wishing to experience a cool neighbourhood in London.

Sai’s place is great. It’s comfortable, cosy, with everything you need for a good stay. It’s nice and quiet there, but nevertheless it’s brilliantly located close to local shops, restaurants and buses that will easily get you to the tube, or to Watford. It’s no problem to get to central London or to the Warner Bros Harry Potter experience. Sai’s a great host. Responsive, helpful and honest. He was really quick to ensure he returned items that we mistakenly left in the property when we left. This is the third time we’ve stayed there and we’d do do again in a heartbeat.
