We had an amazing stay! The cottage was just as described and in the perfect location so we hardly had to use the car at all and were able to walk to Windermere, Bowness and Brockhole with our two girls ( 13 and 8). The use of the nearby pool was an added bonus after a day in the mountains. We’ll definitely be back! 😀

This place was beyond our expectations. Immaculately presented, super clean, tidy, jaw dropping views. I can't fault it in any way and I can't rate it highly enough. Will definately look to return in the future. Stunning!

We have just returned from a lovely weekend at Badgers Rest. The home was beautifully clean, had everything we needed and in a great location. The facilities were amazing nearby too.

The lodge was fabulous, really enjoyed our stay. I even picked up a couple of decor ideas. Had a lovely time feeding the ducks, swans and other wildlife, very relaxing. Shops and amenities easy to get to by car, lovely restaurants around the area. Would absolutely recommend.

House was as described, beautiful setting with wonderful views of the hills and mountains. Rooms are spacious with comfy beds and bathrooms are nicely finished with good showers. Kitchen is a good size and has all required implements. A great location for exploring the central lakes and soaking up all that Ambleside has to offer.

Our family had a lovely stay at Burrowbank at the end of the summer holiday. The house is fantastic with all the facilities you could ask for. The kids loved the swings and most of all the pool, while the covered (heated) BBQ area meant evening meals outside watching the sunset. Great location and setting, very private and we would definitely come again and recommend to others. Martyn and Christine were very helpful and went the extra mile (even posting my daughter’s disposable camera that she left behind). Can’t think of any negatives and we made some great/happy memories.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay in this cottage! It was beautiful, peaceful, and had everything you could need plus more. There were fresh eggs and flowers, chocolates, and butter and milk in the fridge for us. We felt right at home and relaxed. It was also VERY clean and the WiFi worked great. The area is beautiful! Loretta and Max were such kind hosts and I couldn’t recommend this place more.

We had a fantastic time and Dwarf Studio was just perfect. It was clean, bright and so comfortable. It had everything we needed and had a real luxurious feel to it. The bed was so comfortable and Julie had really gone the extra mile to make our stay, right from the moment we first walked the door absolutely perfect. I would recommend this to everyone and will certainly stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay. The cottage is very private with a fantastic view from the living room. Great location allowing easy access to nearby pubs and to the ferry. We were surrounded by wildlife, and particularly enjoyed seeing the family of baby rabbits hop around the cottage garden each evening.

Quite possibly the easiest air bnb to check into, absolutely immaculate and amazing location with the most stunning views!! Will 100% be returning!

Spark Bridge was a great place to be, outside busy areas but still accessible to much of southern and central lakes. Wendy’s place was perfect.

We stayed in June for 4 nights as a family group of four adults for a birthday getaway and had the most wonderful stay. The house is beautiful, characterful and peaceful, absolutely immaculate on arrival and we especially loved the outdoor area with the seating and BBQ - we were blessed with warm and sunny weather so we could use it! We were very thankful to be able to bring our dogs as well and want to say an extra thank you for allowing that - great communication from host Craig. There is parking for three cars and it's only a short drive (approx 15-20mins) to Bowness - we did a boat trip from here one day. We also ate one night at the Mason's Arms down the road and had a very nice meal. Overall 10/10 from us!

We had a wonderful stay! Communication was great from the start, and the home itself is absolutely beautiful, cosy, warm, and full of thoughtful touches that made it feel really special. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the shower was excellent too. Sarah, her husband, and Joey were so lovely and welcoming, and their gorgeous dog made us feel right at home. Highly recommend this stay, would love to come back!

We had a wonderful stay at Andrew’s place. The house is full of charm, combining historic character with modern comforts. Everything was spotless, well-equipped, and thoughtfully arranged. The location was peaceful yet well-connected, making it a great base for exploring the Lake District. Check-in was smooth with clear instructions, and the Wi-Fi worked perfectly. Andrew was responsive and made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend this home to anyone visiting the area — we’d definitely stay again!

We had the best time staying here as a family of 5. Firstly the house is absolutely beautifully done (and spotless) and the space works so well for either a family or friends on a trip. The garden is stunning too! We were very impressed with all the instructions left for us, everything was so clear and easy to use. The location is superb, a very easy walk down to the restaurants, and shops and we also enjoyed the longer walks that were recommended by Cassius! We look forward to returning again in the future!

We had a lovely stay for the Lakeland Trails event weekend. Parking was great for 2 cars at the back and it was extremely clean, comfortable and well kitted out really close to the centre of Coniston. Thank you for having us!

We loved our stay at Easter How, it was perfect for our family get together. The gardens are gorgeous and our daughter's dog enjoyed exploring all the different paths. My dad enjoyed feeding the birds so thank you for providing the food for that too! It really was a home from home, so comfortable with great facilities and in such a tranquil setting. We enjoyed walking to High Dam Tarn a couple of times too, the second time we took the easier route through the field as my parents found the steep climb tough going the first time. Justin (co-host) kept us updated and we had the added bonus of meeting him when he dropped off some coffee beans! We stayed a week in Danes Court. It’s a spacious, characterful, and very peaceful Victorian Lodge. Well equipped with good WiFi in the main rooms and TVs in the lounge and bedrooms. It’s well equipped and comfortable, and we slept well in the king size bed. We enjoyed sitting out in the afternoons (weather permitting), enjoying the peace and quiet and flutter of the birds. Danes Court is easily accessed from a very quiet road. Kendal, Windermere, and Ambleside are all within 30 minutes drive, and there are plenty of excellent restaurants/pubs within 10-20 minutes drive through beautiful countryside.

The host was lovely, offering to help with anything we needed. A really lovely 2 bedroom house with a good size kitchen that had everything that you’d have at home, nice and clean too. A few lovely touches with biscuits and wine on our arrival. Considering the house is so close to the shops and restaurants it was nice and quiet. I would definitely recommend staying here, and would definitely book it again.

Came here with my partner and two young kids and had the best time, absolutely lovely home and a great responsive host. We have visited the Lake District many times and can honestly say this was by far our best choice of accommodation, great location, plenty of local amenities within walking distance. The accommodation its self was immaculate and very spacious/homely. The kids loved it. Clare was a great host who ensured we had a stress free four day trip, we will most definitely be returning!
