Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Columbus

The Irwin Groundskeeper's Cottage was a perfect place for our stay in Columbus, IN. All of the places we visited in town were within easy walking distance. Proximity to the Irwin Garden Inn was ideal, as several members of our group were staying there. The cottage was the perfect base-camp for our exploring of Columbus, and the surrounding region. We feel so fortunate to have found it!

Excellent communication and amazing accommodations! The house was clean and had all the amenities making our stay easy and comfortable.

Janis was a wonderful host. She was very responsive and helpful. The accomodations were clean, private and roomy. The pictures and discription matched what we experienced. We had parking in the driveway, right next to the private entry. The neighborhood was very quiet and safe and allowed for walking on sidewalks and trails. A short drive away, were plenty of restaurants and of course IU. The campus and downtown were beautiful areas to walk around. It was a great place to stay and we would highly recommend Janis' place.

The home was warm, welcoming, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. It was spotless upon arrival and thoughtfully arranged—clearly set up with care and attention to detail. Bobbi was incredibly kind and accommodating. She went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home, even leaving a few special touches that made my grand babies smile. Communication was smooth, and she was always quick to respond to any questions. The neighborhood was peaceful and safe, with easy access to a beautiful view, with fishing, kayaking, canoeing, and a relaxing around the fire with family. We made great memories here and would absolutely love to return. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing family-friendly stay

Nice little house, but had everything I needed, enjoyed relaxing in the back yard and Cowboy loved it, Would most definitely love to stay here again if available when I’m in the area, Kelly is definitely a Super Hostess

We enjoyed our stay at Kevin’s place. It truly was better than expected. I was amused to think of a family growing up in a small home, compared to the monstrosities we think we have to have today. Nice to remember a simpler time when being with those we love was enough.

We had our daughter’s bachelorette party here and we are so happy with our experience. The home was beautiful and the location was private and picturesque. We all had a wonderful time. The only thing that would have improved it for our guests would be to have a bathroom in the basement. Would love to stay here again.

This is now one of my favorite spots. It was very clean, very well stocked, communication was excellent and the host was friendly and kind. We had a great time and plan to come back again.

Amazing experience! My first stay at the Treehouse and definitely won’t be my last! From the calming hilltop view surrounded by nature to the wildlife outside the window. Short, easy drive to Main Street. Serenity is what I was seeking when booking this and serenity is what I found. Amazing pool. Cozy bed. CLEAN everything. Saving best for last ~ the hostess. She is one of the most incredible humans I have met! The Treehouse, your hostess, the town ~ you will not be disappointed!

Mary & Marvin’s place is as wonderful as advertised… better even. The neighborhood looks a little rough around the edges, but it’s quiet and seems like a good, safe community. Marvin met me for checkin and shared stories about the history of the space and some of the typewriters and items throughout the space. Everything was especially comfortable - great bed, good shower, your own thermostat, etc. All in all, a great stay. At my checkout, Marvin made some coffee and he, his son (Mike), and I had a great coffee-chat before I was on my way.

A very peaceful getaway for me and my wife, it was very quiet and the hot tub was amazing would recommend !!

the location is great, everything is walkable, and the bed is very comfortable. it was perfect for a weekend trip to nashville. like some have mentioned, if there are other guests staying in the room next door, you can hear each other pretty well through the thin wall separating the rooms.

Great place! We’ve stayed here a few times. Walkable to downtown and the park. Clean and well-equipped!

Everything was ideal I woke up in the morning and was watching a cow with her calf probably within a couple hundred feet sleeping in the grass chewing on it. Nice snacks everything nice and quiet fast internet.

Eugenia’s place was great! It was clean, quiet and peaceful. Close enough to hiking, shopping and dining without traffic and street noise. I will make an effort to stay again for my future trips.

Very cute and small apartment! The distance from everything I wanted to do and see was just about 15 mins from this place! The Ubers were cheap, everything about Acacias place was convenient! Definitely would recommend to share with a partner.

Scott and Lee were exceptionally responsive and accommodating with our check-in time. Their property was exactly what we were looking for—clean, well-maintained, and conveniently located.

The Cozy Condo is exactly as described, small and cozy. It was perfect for the two of us. Sharon went above and beyond to make us feel at home and added special touches just for us. The only drawback was that it was much further from downtown Bloomington than we thought. It took us about 40 minutes to drive to the B-Line trail. That was on me, I should have done more research. If you are looking for a peaceful, quiet and cozy place to stay near Bloomington, I highly recommend Sharon's Cozy Condo.

My friends and I had a great time! The place was very cute and James was an amazing host!

The location was perfect for Indy 500 weekend as it was away from the chaos and traffic of the city but still a convenient driving distance away. Everything from check in to check out went smoothly with no issues and there were no concerns the entire weekend. Parking was simple and easy, and the town itself is a perfect mix of peaceful with everything you need within a walk or a short drive. Would definitely stay here again!

It’s a great nice small property to stay. Definitely not big enough for more than two people but a great location to downtown.

Our stay in the condo in Broadripple for the Indy 500 was excellent. The property was easy to find, centrally located in a nice area of Indianapolis and was a short walk to multiple restaurants, shopping and a Fresh Market grocery. The condo was very clean, nicely decorated and well stocked for our weeklong stay. Our host, Deborah was extremely responsive and her communications were excellent. Thank you for allowing us to "Let's Go Racing"!!
