Our (me and my dog) stay at St Andrews Retreat was truly magical. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by a warm, lit fire and gas heaters already going—it was very cold, and it instantly felt like coming home. St Andrews is one of my absolute favourite places to rest, recharge, and feel completely safe and welcomed. The property holds a deep, enigmatic beauty, especially the old stone church, which radiates peace and quiet grace. There's a serene, almost sacred atmosphere that calms the nervous system and invites you to slow down and breathe. The kindness and generosity of the owners, Paul and Jennifer, knows no bounds. Thembani cooked the most incredible food—deeply nourishing and flavourful—and Thembi was always warm, friendly, and kept the space immaculate. I can’t recommend this retreat enough. It's a rare and special place that offers comfort, stillness, and soul-level restoration. I'll keep returning as long as I can.

we had such a peaceful and relaxing weekend at this airbnb. the hosts were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. although the road leading to the bnb is a bit far, it’s absolutely worth it for the quiet and tranquility you get once you’re there. the atmosphere was calm and serene – exactly what we needed to recharge. i’f definitely go again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful escape.
