Julie’s place was everything we needed for our stay in Newstead. Comfortable, warm and clean and accommodating three couples easily without us feeling cramped. The kitchen was well equipped for meals at home and we also loved having the fireplace. Highly recommend Julie’s place.

We had a wonderful stay at Sandon. The hosts went above and beyond—spare linen, plenty of firewood, and thoughtful touches like family games made it feel so welcoming. The wood-fired pizza oven was a real highlight, and the outdoor kitchenette made cooking a breeze. A perfect spot to unwind and enjoy quality time together. Would love to return!

We had the most wonderful stay! So peaceful and serene. The cottage is absolutely perfect with all the amenities you need for your stay. Beautiful surroundings will so much to explore right at your doorstep. Thank you for the thoughtful added touches. We enjoyed the complimentary wine, fresh milk, quail eggs and fresh herbs. Thank you Neal for a lovely 2 night stay. The accommodation was very cozy with the fire going on arrival and a good supply of wood to keep it going. Newstead is a quiet town where you can go walking along the Loddon River and the house is in a very quiet and private setting. We really enjoyed the little extras such as chocolate and biscuits etc. I would definitely recommend staying here as it is only a short drive to Maldon and other beautiful towns.
