Monthly Rentals in Clachtoll

When booking a family reunion I wanted something very special and memorable. This holiday home is set within the most beautiful bay, 2 minutes walk from the beach at Clachtoll. Our Easter week was glorious with sunshine every day. We walked, enjoyed picnics, ate lovely meals out at Delilah’s and the Lochinver Pie shop. A wildlife boat trip out of Lochinver with Skipper Tony is great fun for young and old alike. For any ornithologists a trip to Handa will be joyous…..we were lucky to see puffin!! The layout of the holiday home is excellent with lots of space and importantly there are two bedrooms on the ground floor ideal for elderly or anyone with mobility issues. Had a brilliant time at Ken's, the cottage had everything you need and the location was perfect for exploring Assynt. Many of the furnishings are dated but this added to the charm of the place. Shower was powerful, Internet was surprisingly fast and bed comfortable. Ken is very friendly and communication is second to none. Would love to visit again!

We were here in the winter and it was incredibly beautiful. And Jacqui was incredibly helpful and thoughtful. This is definitely a great place to stay and in such a beautiful location.

What a wonderful week! I went to Culkein/Assynt for the express purpose of getting away from the overwhelming excesses of London life, and I succeeded, thanks in no small part to Karen and Iain’s pod. The pod is beautifully situated with an uninterrupted view of the coast, waves breaking over rocks, fields of sheep. The place is easy to locate, and Karen was proactive in providing easy-to-follow directions. The pod itself has everything you’d want or need and is extremely comfortable. Culkein is a great location if you’re looking to hike nearby Suilven, go on walks or just relax on the deck and stare out to the sea. I have nothing but high recommendations based on my experience, and I have every intention of returning to the region - it’s stunning.
