Michelle's place is an absolute gem! I particularly appreciated the dedicated desk space for working, and how well-stocked the kitchenette is with a full-sized fridge/freezer, hot plates and a toaster oven as well as plastic storage containers. Most AirBnB hosts don't think of these, but they mean you can cook complete meals and pack lunches for days out. Especially valuable for longer trips if you don't want to eat at restaurants every day. Melville's main shopping street with restaurants and bars is <5 minutes walk, supermarket and shops at Campus Square <15 minutes walk and you can be most places in Joburg in <20 minutes by car or Uber. Michelle is an excellent and proactive host. Although I've been to Joburg before, she pointed me to some local cultural events I wasn't aware of, and I got to meet new people that way. She has two adorable dogs who will be keen to meet guests, particularly if you are swimming in the pool, but they are friendly and sweet. Would gladly stay again!

I had a wonderful stay with Olga and Steven. Both of them are very friendly and always there to help with any queries. The flatlet had everything I needed for my stay, which made me feel right at home. Plus, there is an adorable dog always happily greeting me in the mornings. Would definitely recommend this accommodation to anyone.
