Staying in the little pink house in Doukades was an absolute dream! I visited during the off-season (February–April), when the town was quiet except for the beautiful spring celebrations. Now, with the season changing, you get to experience the village waking up—more shops and cafés open, while the nearby beaches remain blissfully empty (a very different story in the summer!). A car is definitely essential for exploring, but everything you need is within reach. The little market right outside is incredibly friendly and convenient—Vickey and Irene are absolute gems! And if you love hiking, all I can say is go up! The mountain access from Doukades is just a 10-minute walk, connecting directly to the Corfu Trail from the church. The hikes are breathtaking! The village itself is peaceful, warm, and welcoming—I always felt safe. The cats are like little guardians of the town, adding to its charm. And I can’t say enough wonderful things about the host, Herlinde. She was incredibly kind.

Me and my family stayed at Spiros house 9 nights, the place is very nive, great view and in the middle of the old greek village. It was a pleasure to walk few minutes to the village market, there is also a coffe place and a local bakery. We arrived in the middle of the night, so it took us around 30 min to find the exact house, as the streets looks the same at first sight. The house is very big, we had there all we need, but we were not able to cook more than coffe or oats. Overall, we had a nice stay and we recommend the place.

The house is very comfortable, had everything we needed for our stay. We would stay here again. It's very, very quiet (we were there in early April). The four adjacent houses are owned by folks from the UK. Everyone we met was very nice, no dogs, quiet, respectful. The hot water in the house is a bit wonky, but we adjusted to how it works and everything was fine. George, the host, who works for Hostlab, is not the person you message with on the AirBnB app. I had to contact him by phone to set up a time to check-in. He is super friendly, very helpful, responsible, and on time. The house was squeaky clean, nice linens, new washer, nice pans & sharp knives. We couldn't stop saying how peaceful it was and how many birds were singing. San George Beach is a 25 minute walk. Not much else to stroll to. We did some great hikes right from the house (3 & 4 hours). Nice views of the mountains from the porch, but not spectacular. All the windows have screens though, which is a plus in Europe!

We felt very comfortable, the apartment corresponds to the pictures. Clean, not too crowded and the view is great. The beds are super comfortable. You can quickly reach the sea. Everything was perfect for us.
