Vacation rentals with a kayak in Chippewa County

Kelli’s place was perfect! I usually stay at hotels when in the Soo but decided to try this and so glad we did! Great location and cute place! Kelli is very responsive and kind. I would love to come back to this awesome Airbnb in the future! Thank you for your hospitality!

My wife Linda and I stayed at Fisherman's Paradise/Freighter Watch September 4-22, 2024. We were there mainly to do fishing in the St. Mary's River and Lake Huron. With on site launch, boat hoist/dock, and fish cleaning it is by far the best rental property we have found in the area. We have stayed on Sugar, Nebbish, and Drummond Island and none of places we have stayed could compare. The area is peaceful and quiet, there is ample wildlife in and around the area, we saw eagles, mink, beaver, and many other bird species. A couple nights around the full moon we heard several coyotes howling. As other reviewers have noted the freighter watching gets to be obsessive(we even saw several cruise ships during our stay). We would recommend that you get on the Boatnerd website. This website has information on all the ships that are seeing. We found the house to be comfortable. The kitchen has pretty much everything that you may need for your meal preparation. Tara and Rob are great host.

Great home in a beautiful private location right on the water. Great amenities, inside and outside of the home. Tons of space for large families and very cozy. Sweet and thoughtful touches all around the home. You can tell a lot of thought went into the decor of the home. Master suite has beautiful lake views to wake up to in the morning. The hosts were prompt as far as questions and concerns went.

It is the perfect vacation place. This place has direct lake access with scenic peaceful surroundings. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay and cherished each moment we spent. Barbara's place feels like home with thoughtful attention to details. Especially if you are traveling with a big group or kids, she has provided enough toys and supplies like kitchen/bath towel, coffee etc. Highly recommended Just one thing to mention, the King bed is on a lofted bedroom which does not have four wall enclosure like regular rooms. I think this is a Michigan architecture style and looking carefully at the pictures you can easily figure it out. So something to be careful about for a big group

Kristina is an absolutely fantastic host- 5 stars! Extremely responsive and awesome!! The a-frame is awesome and the site is beautiful, everything from the outdoor cooking area to the Kayaks and everything in between. My family had an amazing time stargazing from the deck and watching all of the wildlife during the day- the lake is so peaceful and serene. Everything you need (and more) is here, the beds were also amazingly comfortable- We recommend 200% Thanks for sharing this slice of perfection! We had a lovely 4 day weekend that included a 166 mile bike race on Saturday morning (Moran) and a ton of relaxation and awesome food/family time/ etc- A++ awesomeness, THANK YOU!!

Sarah and Walter are excellent hosts!!! We loved all the treats from local shops. They supplied us with more than enough extras and made us feel very special. We had a wonderful stay in the winter wonderland of Trout Lake. Sarah and Walter even came out to snow blow the driveway and check in on us during our extended stay. We never lost power during a once in a lifetime ice/snow storm. Thank you so much for a memorable stay!!

We stayed here to attend my son’s high school hockey games. This place gave our party of 9 so much room to sleep and allowed all of us to partake in different activities while still being under the same roof! We enjoyed the fireplaces during the cold winter days and nights! The beds were very comfortable and made for a great sleep! We enjoyed looking at the beautiful scenery during our stay! The host was very proactive with making sure the driveway was cleared of snow. She was very responsive whenever we needed something.

This was our second trip to Birch Point Rendezvous. Our first time was November '23. Once again, our experience was nothing less than incredible! Brigid, the host, always goes out of her way to make sure our stay is very welcoming and comfortable. She made sure to periodically check-in to see if there was anything we needed and provided excellent suggestions for local activities/hiking trails. (She even let us borrow some bear bells in case we came across some curious critters.) We truly enjoy our stay at David's house and always look forward to returning!

It was great however the price for us to stay 40 hrs.. the price was high. The place was great. I believe it would have been a better price at $550… all said & done cleaning fees, etc. this place was great but I believe air b n b could have lowered their price. We left the place just as spic n span as it was when we got there. The only thing “cleaning wise” is the bedding. We did our own dishes & put them away, we emptied the trash, shoveled the snow, put laundry in washing machine & ran it. Virtually no cleaning to be done. I believe the $165 cleaning is a bit much unless some people don’t clean after themselves. Plus the svc fee & taxes. Please feel free to contact me about cleaning fees. Thank you.

Our family loved spending our vacation here. The house was clean and comfy. The sunroom was a great place to hang out when not on the beach. Great, easy access to the beach with rocks nearby to collect. Convenient to other locations like the falls and Soo locks. Loved seeing the freighters from sunroom and beach. Information was appreciated about local sites and stores. We will be back for another summer vacation!!

Jessica’s place was the most peaceful and picturesque place to rest after a full day of kayaking and exploring the forest. Every morning a beautiful mist was over the lake making the morning views just beautiful. Jessica was quick to respond when I wanted to add an extra day. The beds were very comfortable and just what was needed after a long day of kayaking Lake Hurons beautiful shoreline. The kitchen had everything needed to prepare fresh homemade meals. This was home away from home. I highly recommend Jessica’s place and plan to return.

Beautiful home, beautiful location, easy access, excellent quick response. We rented it for the I 500. Ended up getting a lot of snow while we were there and contacted Mark re driveway concerns before leaving with truck and trailer and he promptly had the snow cleared. We will definitely use this location again! Perfect 10 A+++

Perfect location, great having coffee on the deck during sunrise right on the beach. Our kids enjoyed skipping rocks and playing the board games, great trip to unplug from devices!

Our stay was perfect! Michelle was very responsive to any questions and the house was comfortable and clean. We will definitely stay there again!

If you are looking for a relaxing place to unplug and relax with great views this is a great spot. It’s remote, but there is a little store for trinkets and items you may have forgotten. Right on the water for fun on the water and views. Cabins are rustic but comfortable. No WiFi and we needed to use Canadian cellular towers, so you will be unplugged…and that’s kinda the point. Definitely plan to come back.

Peaceful area. Great to be right on the river. Wonderful to be able to sit out, and/or grill out, on the front lawn or porch, and watch the big ships. Picnic tables and furniture are provided. Cabins are rustic and cozy. Bedding is provided, and in our opinion, the beds were very comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with pots/dishes/silverware. Gas stove. Full size fridge. Good water pressure. Bring your own towels/shampoos, and bath soaps.

We stayed at Pond #8 which was a short drive from the main resort. We didn’t use any of the resort amenities because we enjoyed our cabin so much! The pictures don’t do it justice. It’s the perfect wilderness getaway. The staff at check in/out were very friendly. We will definitely be coming back and staying longer.

We enjoyed our stay on the lake. Had a bonfire and saw the northern lights from the backyard.! Ran in to an issue but the answering service and host were very friendly and responsive, got it solved quickly. Would recommend
