The barn is a beautifully converted stable. Open plan, cosy but stylish. Great music system, tv, free sat. On a farm but private. Under floor heating throughout and a well kitted kitchen. 1 lovely bedroom with bath and storage. Separate bathroom. Camp beds available for 2 : no older than 10ish. Cot, high chair etc available on request. A mile from the village with a good shop and local pub. Lovely walks and easy access to the Jurassic Coast. Happy to help and provide recommendations

This property is a beautifully converted garage. It is detached at the front of the property and you have complete privacy. You can park your car directly in front of the Airbnb where there is seating for Airbnb use only. It is a very quiet village and at night if you switch all the lights off and it is a clear night you can see the Milky Way. What beautiful accommodation and a very pleasant and comfortable stay. Everything was pristine and Maria very kindly added special provisions which were very welcome. Maria and Richard couldn't be more helpful and accommodating. We certainly would highly recommend Magpie Annex and we definitely would use this again when down in Dorset, also would look forward to meeting Maria and Richard again. Lovely couple.

Wow! An amazing place to stay, especially if you need to escape for a while, settle down and have some peaceful time. Emily was the perfect host, warm and friendly and there to help you enjoy your visit (with the help of Lemmy the dog). The hut had everything I needed, was clean and cosy and the toilet facilities were good with a lovely hot shower. I walked around a bit - to the top of Eggardon Hill which is worth the effort and to The Spyway Inn which is a nice pub. Mostly I spent my time in my own secluded woodland glade, just looking at the trees and the wonderful view and listening to the bird song (there's a blackbird who got aggie at the sound of my electric toothbrush). Loved every minute. Thanks Emily.

It is a privilege to stay here and a joy to have such comfort and space, both inside and outside. The beds and linen are special. The bathrooms are lovely to use and add to the sense of luxury. The kitchen and utility room are very clean and very well appointed. The decked area to the rear, looking over the garden to the field falling away to the south is one of the most peaceful places you could find.

Wow amazing place, loved watching the alpacas they were so cute. The hut was gorgeous and so was the bathroom hut. Paul was great gave us some great recommendations. He has the best book of instructions on where everything is in the hut plus restaurants, places to see and do etc and the surroundings were beautiful and so relaxing, especially sitting out in both the morning and evening enjoying a cup of tea.

I enjoyed a relaxing and peaceful week at The Old Forge. It’s just as seen in the photos if not better, particularly when taking in the beautiful surrounding countryside of the little hamlet it’s nestled in. Has all the facilities you need..in fact more than in the description as there was a hairdryer and TV, …not that I watched it. It was far more relaxing sitting on the private patio watching the birds. So many varieties, including a nuthatch and a woodpecker. Judy, the host, was welcoming and generous. Along with fresh eggs, milk and Dorset biscuits, Judy brought over flowers and baked a delicious lemon drizzle cake. I had a wonderful stay here and would definitely visit again. Highly recommend a stay.
