Vacation rentals in Chilcombe

We loved our stay, just what we needed for our base to visit friends and explore the Jurassic coast. It was perfect for our family of 4 on a budget half term break. Lloyd was quick to respond to questions and all information was clear and accurate. Would genuinely use again for a future trip.

Lucy and Steve were both very friendly and helpful- perfect balance of being there if you needed them but not intrusive. I loved the rural location, watching the antics of the Texel sheep ( and listening to them!) was a bonus. During our short stay we saw kestrel, pheasant and various song birds. If you like being immersed in the countryside you will love this place. Everything was very clean, the bed was super comfy, the shower warm. We were proved with a radio, lovely selection of books relating to the local area, a mini fridge, microwave and kettle. All of which looked brand new! We had a great meal ( almost on the beach) at the Hive cafe in Burton Bradstock which is only about a 15 min leisurely drive away.

Just spent the week at 'Little Africa', what a fantastic time we had. The cabin is simply stunning, gorgeously decorated and everything you could need. Its a cosy and very calming space, we were both so relaxed and comfortable the entire time. Nicky was a warm and welcoming host, always stpping for a chat when we saw her and Luca, her little dog, is a gentle lovely little chap! Could not recomend staying here enough, the cabin is a wonderful retreat and I would love to return 😊 xx

We had a fantastic stay at Orchard cottage. We were there for 2 nights, and we were four adults, two 4-years old and a 19-month old. The cottage was perfect. We were able to use the bbq, and have lunch and dinner outside. The children were thrilled with all the animals, the playground and the indoor play area. Danielle, Jason and their children were amazing hosts, and spoiled our children with all the animals. The cottage, and the farm are amazing. It has everything you need an more. The decoration and design of every corner is also really well thought out (of the cottage but also the garden and forest trail). We were also able to do multiple things in the area. There are some nice places where to go for lunch, the beach is just 10 minutes drive, and there are various farms and farm shops too. We would definitely come back, and we recommend it for a family, a couple or multiple families.

Anna and Stewart we’re absolutely wonderful. You won’t two better hosts. It’s a stunningly beautiful place tucked away from the rat race but only a short walk to local pubs and any event you might want to attend and local shopping is minutes away. Super clean, they provided everything we needed. Right down to beautiful flowers and the most delicious rock cakes. We are very much looking forward to going back. Can’t recommend them highly enough

If you get the opportunity to stay at Cats holiday home, you are certainly in for a wonderful, relaxing time. The stunning home is full of space and completely spotless. So many amenities that Cat has supplied -from Super comfy beds, to soft towels and all the kitchen utensils/appliances needed. It was luxury staying on this most peaceful farm with just the wonderful cows who you get to see too. Our two young boys had the best holiday and we are so grateful to Cat, who was nothing but brilliant and helpful. Thank you so much and we would love to stay again ☺️

Wow! An amazing place to stay, especially if you need to escape for a while, settle down and have some peaceful time. Emily was the perfect host, warm and friendly and there to help you enjoy your visit (with the help of Lemmy the dog). The hut had everything I needed, was clean and cosy and the toilet facilities were good with a lovely hot shower. I walked around a bit - to the top of Eggardon Hill which is worth the effort and to The Spyway Inn which is a nice pub. Mostly I spent my time in my own secluded woodland glade, just looking at the trees and the wonderful view and listening to the bird song (there's a blackbird who got aggie at the sound of my electric toothbrush). Loved every minute. Thanks Emily.

Stayed at the dairy house while climbing on nearby Portland. It is in a beautiful location and a lovely property. The bedrooms are all very comfortable and of good sizes. The living room and kitchen are well set up and ideal for a group of people to relax in. The property was very clean. The extra touches of fresh flowers in the rooms, were very special. We were warmly greeted by one of the hosts on arrival and she spent some time with us to introduce us to the property. Really friendly and welcoming. We had a really enjoyable stay and would happily revisit in the future.
