Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Chiang Dao

I was driving around the mountain close to Chiang Dao when it started to get dark. I was looking for a place to stay and found this large estates by accident. I asked someone if I could stay as it looks like a resort. It turns out to be a private estate that the owner is preparing to rent out on Airbnb. After some calls, the owner agreed to let me stay at a discounted price, because the villa was not fully ready. I truly appreciate this kind gesture. And to be honest, I didn’t see how it was not read to be rent out. Everything was perfect. Large 100sqm suite to myself, located in a large Thai style villa of 400sqm. I did not have access to the kitchen, but the caretaker was nice enough to help me ordering food from nearby cafes. I definitely would try to come back again! Thank you guys!

Very thoughtful and responsive. You can't find a better place to watch the sunrise. The villagers were so nice and made us feel welcomed.

This is a truly special place. We had the best time here, the cabin is the cutest space with lots of gorgeous touches and little details. It smelled wonderful. Waking up to the view of the mountain and having several morning coffees is one of our most memorable memories from our 2-month trip to Thailand. It was so peaceful. Chiang Dao is a very cool little place, explore and find little hidden gems everywhere. All the people we met were super friendly. You can walk to the hot springs and an amazing cafe which is a nice easy walk. Highly recommend a few nights here.

Phimhaka is a great host! I can only recommend this place! It was a huge relief to arrive in the silence after two weeks of busy city’s in Thailand. The house has all the comfort you want and it’s a place where you can really relax. Maybe the only discomfort we had was getting there. We’ve rented a car to get there. It was an adventure to start driving left, and getting used with the Thai driving style (with the deepest respect for Thai drivers 😀). In the neighbourhood we found a coffee bar with a very friendly lady and a local restaurant with great food! We’ve had to change our travel plans, and Phimphaka was so friendly to understand, and to provide a solution. Only warm words to her, and I wish her all the best!

Quiet and cozy house. Lots of space. The living and working area is big and comfortable. Away from the main road and the noise. With a scooter, everything is accessible within 5 to 10 min. Was exactly what I wanted. Host super responsive and friendly.

Namthip and Cedric are very good owners....fast response, friendly and very helpful...answer all the enquiries so quick and even help me to look for a private car driver. The house is clean...cosy decorated..and beautifully located by the streams...we went down to play and have lots of fun...Don't miss the thai hot pot dinner at the platform just by the streams.....we even set up a bonfire which is incredibly romantic 😂😂.....of course all the staff are very friendly and always wearing happy faces... but to be fair..some minor things to know that they don't have air conditioning which is a little bit hot at day time even in March...but turn cool after 6:00。 And you should not expect strong water supply for shower since that's up on the mountain...but i believe Cedric has really tried his best to fix it.... Peaceful Retreat in Nature – Just What We Needed We were really happy with our stay in Chiang Dao. The house was exactly as described — peaceful, comfortable, and surrounded by nature. We truly enjoyed the calm atmosphere and the beautiful views. It was the perfect place to unwind and slow down. Alex was very kind and helpful, always quick to respond and easy to communicate with — we felt really well taken care of. A few things to keep in mind for future guests: the house is quite far from the town and other spots, so having your own transport is a big plus. We’d recommend renting a motorbike — and if you’re planning to stay for a while, it might be worth renting one in Chiang Mai, as it can be considerably cheaper. Also, light sleepers should know that there are roosters in the area, and they tend to start their day early. It didn’t bother us too much, but it’s good to be aware of. All in all, it was a wonderful stay, and we’d happily come back!
