Bird Forest has three old teak houses in Thai Lanna style. Each house is independent. This one is called Ship. (Maximum 2 people) (No breakfast) (No airport pick-up) (Please note that this is a wooden house and is not soundproof) Located in a small alley in the heart of Chiang Mai Ancient City. I have incorporated my collection of antique furniture into every corner of the space. The house will suit those who like to experience and cherish the traditional Thai way of life. (Picky people should beware.) This is an old house. Unlike big city apartments, it's not a hotel. Again, please don't choose here if you're a nit picker) 10 minutes walk to the main attractions, restaurants, cafes and night markets of the ancient city. (For example, 10 minutes walk to Wat Chedi Luang, 10 minutes walk to Saturday Night Market, 10 minutes walk to Sunday Night Market. 18 min walk to Tha Phae Gate. 10 minutes drive to Chiang Mai University, 7 minutes drive to Nimman Road) The house has a bedroom, a small living room, a semi-open lounge area, and a private bathroom. In addition to your private space, there is another house in the front yard with antique furniture in the living room where you can have tea, read, and relax, as well as a small courtyard filled with plants.

Their property is incredibly clean, serene, and surrounded by nature. They provided me with a bike that led to a beautiful ride through the local landscape, and the access to jungle walks nearby was absolutely breathtaking. But the real highlight? The food. Every single meal they prepared was made with such love and care absolutely phenomenal! You can taste the quality and intention in every bite and a lot of their ingredients were from their garden. The little wooden house is wonderful. The Ratana family is very hospitable. We spent three dreamy days in Chiang Mai. There were also two cute little dogs. We picked the mangoes from the tree right outside the door and enjoyed the huge and beautiful courtyard. We will definitely come back and stay for a longer time!

This place is a gem. From the absolutely stunning house and surroundings, to the absolutely outstanding service provides by Aon and the fast answer of the owner, Oom. To me this property has opened my eyes from renting just to sleep to renting to experience a place. The place is silent, exceptionally from the noise of the nature, the beds are comfortable, and everywhere you look at is beautiful and well thought. The swimming pool is comfortable. Some recommendations: rent a car to go there, or have scooter’s delivered there. I highly suggest to order Aon food. Although the price tag is a bit higher than some restaurant in chiang Mai, It’s freshly made,delicious and the size of each portion is consequent. She also adapted to our demands and cleaned everything making it a private chef experience. Outstanding.
