Austen Suite | The Dower House Hotel

The “Austen Suite” is named after the novelist Jane Austen who visited Lyme Regis on more than one occasion in the early 19th century and based her novel Persuasion there. It is a spacious first floor room with a luxurious super king size four poster bed, sofa and extensive westerly views over countryside to the sea. Country King

At Hills Farm Stays, we have two Country King rooms, Hawkchurch and Seaton. Hawkchurch is located on our first floor and is accessible through external outdoor steps. Seaton is situated on the ground floor and has access to a small outdoor garden and patio area. These rooms both contain a king bed, using Egyptian cotton linen and an en-suite shower room.

This single (small-double!) room with en-suite toilet and shower is ideal for a solo stay or even a couple. This room is located on the first floor with overlooking views to the Alexandra gardens and sea view. At the Alexandra we also offer a continental breakfast for £4.95 with pastries, fresh bread, cereals and unlimited tea and coffee.
