Vacation rentals in Cherry Lake

Awesome host + awesome house = awesome stay! We had a last minute problem at the air bnb we originally booked and arrived there to find no electricity and it could not be fixed. We had to quickly find another place as we had a baseball game to be at, 6pm at the university. We booked Todd’s place and sent a quick message as to what happed at the other place and we needed the code asap to get in so we could make the game. Todd was so prompt and within a minute or two I had the code. The house was in a beautiful community and is very nice. Beds were comfy and liked everything about it. Thank you so much Todd for saving the weekend and for sharing your home with us. Would not hesitate to stay again when in the area.

It was awesome!!!! Place looked amazing. They were very quick to respond and nice. I will definitely keep them on my list when I return.

Beautiful home & safe neighborhood.

I'm a college professor and I took the 5 undergraduates in my lab on an insect-collecting trip to Florida over spring break. We spent 2 nights at David's place. The students were amazed that our funding sources could afford and condone such luxury. I explained that for the 6 of us it was actually cheaper than getting the 3 standard motel rooms we would need otherwise. Later they complained about the sulfur smell of the water (which David had warned me about in a private message before accepting our reservation, and which I had warned the students about), and I pointed out that the smell was probably why we could afford to stay there. They said they didn't mind the smell that much after all.

One of may favorite stays ever. This place is booming with nature! Owls singing at dusk, tons of frogs singing at night, hummingbirds in the morning and many fish to catch in the pond. Was treated to the sight of a shy, baby gator meandering along the shoreline late afternoons. Ann has thought of everything here. Every little detail is covered, especially if you have forgotten anything to bring with you. The duck/chicken eggs were a nice surprise (which I totally forgot to take with me 😥) and she even had some delicious homemade chocolate pecan bars sitting on the counter for me upon my arrival! (chef's kiss). Such an amazing cottage tucked away from the hustle and bustle. Book it!

I fell in love with this place. Wish I could have stayed longer to fully enjoy the area and house. My 13 year old daughter said she wants to live there as we were getting ready to leave. Will definitely go back next year for our annual family reunion.

It is a lovely setting. Other than the temperature issue with it being too warm and the thermostat not in the unit which was part of the description so we did know ahead of time but we couldn’t get ahold of her later when we needed it adjusted. In that situation someone should be available to monitor the only means of communication the customer has with you. But really everything else was beautiful, we used the little hot tub, and the bed was comfortable, and the kitchen had all we needed. The property is very beautiful.

We arrived with big plans: grill under the stars and rekindle my husband’s childhood love of fire pits. However, within 15 minutes of meeting Kecia (who is truly the sweetest and has the most adorable pup), he was in bed, fast asleep. That’s how peaceful this place is. Forestville Cottage is more than a charming, well-appointed stay. It’s a true retreat. We never turned on the TV, though everything was fully equipped. I did some work without a hitch and even lined up car service for the next day. The morning air smelled like pine; everything felt calm, quiet, and easy. Kecia has created a space that feels like home, but better. From the cozy porch to the morning light trickling through the trees, every detail of our stay invited us to slow down and breathe. We left feeling clearer and lighter, and are already hoping to stop through again—next time, maybe we’ll finally get to that BBQ. We enjoyed the lake for fishing and the view. Quick and easy trip to Wild Adventures and Valdosta for activities and food. The home had all the amenities needed and the kitchen was fully stocked.
