Beachfront vacation rentals in Charente-Maritime

Christina was a very welcoming host. She presented us very well with the different activities available nearby and in La Rochelle. The place was very nice and functional. The only downside is the number of parking spaces, which is not sufficient for the entire residence, but you can easily find some around.

We had a great time at François' place! Lots of comfort and amenities, very well located... Accommodating and friendly host. I would definitely recommend it!

Hi. We booked this house to participate in the triathlon. The accommodation is in a great location, close to the ocean and the center. There is a casino, a convenience store, restaurants less than a 5-minute walk away. Once you've parked the car, you don't need to pick it up during your stay. Regarding the house, it is very pleasant, functional, and well-equipped. Great for a great time. Anaïs welcomed us to give us the keys, everything was perfect. Thank you so much, we had a wonderful weekend.

The accommodation is in a great location, almost in the middle of the island, which makes it easy to visit this beautiful place. The house has a beautiful story which is explained in the welcome booklet. Clean and very well decorated house with all the information needed for a good stay. If we return to the island, we would not hesitate to take this place again.

Sandrine, thank you so much!! The accommodation is niquel, balcony overlooking the sea. A dedicated parking space and then, after all, is on foot. I highly recommend if you want to spend a disconnected evening facing the sea!!

Jean-Pierre is a very attentive host! Always smiling, even on the phone, and very welcoming and helpful! We enjoyed the accommodation which was as described and as pictured, but we were unable to enjoy the pool as much as we would have liked, which is very nice, well maintained and clean. Great stay in this amazing house, in a great location.

Ideally located, this accommodation is perfect for discovering the Ile de Ré and its beautiful landscapes by bike (rental next door, friendly). The added bonus is the sauna. Beautiful decoration, well-equipped. Good communication with the host who gives good advice. Parking right across.

We were with four adults and two children for a week in Le Carrelet and we enjoyed it very much. The house is very nice, large and open. Nevertheless, everyone also has their privacy. The children played a lot in the garden, were in the pool or outside on the street. Everything was clean, in good condition and stylish. The location is nice, very close to the beach. However, it is about 20 minutes walk or 5 minutes by car to the center of Fouras. For restaurants or the baker, you have to take this route. Otherwise, it is a good starting point for excursions, such as to La Rochelle. Even on days with bad weather, we felt very comfortable and enjoyed the time in the house. We will be happy to come back.

The house was superb - spacious, smart and very well-equipped in every respect. It has a lovely pool, pool house and poolside lounging area, which our children and grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed. Its location in Saint-Palais-sur-Mer is great, with one beach (Plage du Platin) within easy walking distance and others (Grand Coté, Bureau and Nauzan) just a little further away. There is a good boulangerie (which serves pizzas in the evening) and a seafood supplier just 5 minutes walk away. We would be very happy to stay with Catherine again and thoroughly recommend the house.

We had a wonderful time with the family. The house is large, tastefully decorated, well-equipped with a large outdoor terrace and a very nice swimming pool. You can do everything on foot, from the beach, to shops and restaurants. We spent 5 very intense days there. Thank you Danielle. 😘

We had a great time at Gérard and Véronique's, who are very friendly and always smiling and dynamic hosts. The hosting was very warm . The cottage is very clean and very functional . Everything is well thought out. Quality linen. Very comfortable bedding. The terrace near the kitchen is also very nice, well equipped for outdoor meals and relaxing on sunny days. The calm of this place filled us. We sincerely thank Gérard and Véronique for their kind little touches: walnut wine and homemade jam, as well as some cakes from the region. Thanks also for the little "tap" demonstration. We highly recommend this rental, which is very well located in a very beautiful area. We'll be happy to go back.

Beautiful apartment, fabulous views (even from the shower!), and delightful little private beach - where our kids enjoyed playing while we played boules on the lawn above. Lovely walk into the old port, either along the beach path, or inland along the beautiful grassy avenue. Great restaurants in the town, although we enjoyed most meals at home so we could make the most of the fantastic views. A wonderful stay!

The apartment is well located and offers us a wonderful view of the ocean. The beach is lovely. The terrace allows us to enjoy alfresco dining. In front of the building, there is a bike path that allows us to ride for miles to beaches located south and north of Saint-Palais-sur-mer. The apartment is a 15-minute walk from excellent restaurants. Loved our stay.
