Cottage vacation rentals in Cephalonia

Lovely peaceful airbnb, very close to a small beach, and a 10mn walk into the town. Perfect for families. The house itself was very clean, and the beds very comfy. Communication with the host was very clear, we had an issue setting up the baby bed and the host came to help. The only downsides were that they had already turned off the jaccuzi (we booked for end of september and on the listing it says the jacuzzi is open that month), and there was not as many child amenities as listed. Better to check with the host when booking related to the above points.

Andreas Haus liegt mitten im Dorf und trotzdem ganz alleine und ruhig mit wunderschönem Blick über die ganze Landschaft. Der Pool und die Terrassen rund ums Haus sind genial, wir konnten im Januar vor dem Haus draussen frühstücken! In jedem Zimmer gibt es eine Klimaanlage, die auch heizen kann und einen schönen offenen Kamin. Wir hatten ein wunderbares Willkommenspaket mit Wein, eigenem Öl und einem ganzen Frühstückspaket! Vielen Dank für die vielen Tips und dass wir mit unseren vier Hunden kommen durften, die Spass in dem grossen umzäunten Garten hatten.

This house was perfect for us. In the countryside, very peaceful, a few minutes drive from the village and the beach. We could see the stars at night, we collected figs and tomatoes from the garden, we were surrounded by cute kittens. Maria came to meet us on the first night. she explained that the first time it is a bit tricky, but then it is easy to find the place. And it was just like she said. The beach is 10 minutes drive on a gravelled road, can be done with an opel corsa, no problem. There are cows, sheep, pigs and even peacocks at the neighbours- lots of entertainment for our 3 years old daughter. The olive oil of their own production as well as the wine are delicious (Italian foodies here!) The sunset over the bay is wonderful and breakfast on the terrace a real treat. While we were there the island was hit by a storm so we didn’t get to enjoy the place to its full potential. However, we think that there is all you need to be happy and a bit more.

Absolutely amazing stay at Villa Blue! My family spent 2 fantastic weeks at this beautiful property & it exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning panoramic view across the pool & the most amazing place to enjoy the beautiful sunrise & sunsets The villa itself was immaculate & thoughtfully equipped with everything we could possibly need from kitchen essentials to pool towels, wifi & BBQ. The layout was spacious & comfortable, plus friendly cleaner every few days We all enjoyed the great pool Our hosts were fantastic, incredibly responsive & attentive, always just a message away & helped with local recommendations. Their hospitality was spot on. Meeting us on arrival to direct us to the villa was very helpful. We couldn't have asked for a better villa or base to explore Kefalonia. Greg’s place is a dream airbnb. Although I have been increasingly disappointed with Airbnb as host become more and more corporate, Greg’s place is a beautiful home built by his great great grandfather (you can see his signature on a stone near the entrance). It has been in the family since. It has functions as a home and a refuge. It is Amazon g to get to participate in the history of such a special place.

My partner and I had a wonderful stay at this apartment! We were made to feel right at home and the hosts went above and beyond with their hospitality! We loved the tranquility of the place and the surroundings are incredibly picturesque. I would definitely recommend!

I can wholeheartedly recommend this accommodation. One of the highlights for me was the wonderful view over the valley and the sea. In addition, the apartment is equipped with everything you could wish for - truly luxurious for a vacation rental! The beautiful sandy beaches of the south coast and good restaurants can be reached by car in 10-20 minutes. Bia and Dionysis are the perfect hosts. Communication was flawless and Bia spoiled me with countless local and homemade products that made my stay special. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! I felt very comfortable and would come back in a heartbeat.

We stayed almost a week in this nice and beautiful apartment in Svoronta. Even though the airport ist a 15 minute walk away, we never felt bothered by any kind of airport noise. The location of the House is close to the capital (Argostoli) and a good base to explore the island. The apartment itself ist clean and tidy. The hostess was extrordinary friendly and always happy to help. Her hospitality was remarkable. She told us about the sights worth seeing and where not to go. With her help we had a week full of special experiences. The Garden and perimiter of the aartment are well kept and extensive. The House comes with a friendly and happy dog and sweet and curious cats.

Perfect experience! Everything was as advertised, even more. First of all, communication with the host was timely, active and without delays. We managed to find the place with no issues at all. Arriving at the house was a breeze, and felt right like at home. AC was up to the task battling with extremely hot Greek summer (38oC !). Shower and all other amenities were perfect. We were also able to use the provided washing machine and this solved our troubles as we were arriving there from a previous stay which did not offer that. The place is very calm, just 6km from Sami town which is port connection from Patras and offers amazing options for local restaurants, cafes, supermarkets etc. The most important is that it is just in the middle of the island, providing the opportunity to easily approach any other location without the need to drive long distances. High recommendation for families, group of friends or even lonely stayers! Couldn't ask for something more.

Wir haben die Zeit bei Dir sehr genossen, Klara! Vielen herzlichen Dank! Das naturnah gelegene und kreativ eingerichtete Haus war für uns der perfekte Ort, um die Ruhe der Insel zu spüren. Direkt von zu Hause aus an wunderschönste Strände spazieren, durch duftende Salbei- & Cistus Haine oder Eichen- und Olivenwäldchen; baden gehen; Sonne genießen... Klara hat uns für unseren gesamten Aufenthalt großartig unterstützt und uns die Insel nahe gebracht. Auch ohne Auto lässt sich hier wunderbar sein, wenn man bereit ist, auch mal eine Stunde aus dem Städtchen Vathý nach Hause zu spazieren (oder ein Taxi zu nehmen). Jetzt, wenn ich meditiere, stelle ich mir den Blick von der Terrasse auf Wald und Meer vor, und es wird ruhig in mir. Ein Ort zum Auftanken, Stille finden, die Natur genießen und einfach nur Sein.

Super maison, proche de l’aéroport, les extérieurs sont vraiment agréable et la plage est à 3 min à pied, les restaurants alentours sont très bons. L’hôte a été très flexible et réactif. Nous avons passé un excellent moment. Merci !

Dear Urania, Many thanks for the stay in your lovely house. We enjoyed it and my elderly parents appreciated the peacefulness of the place and listening to the night birds in the evening reminding them of their village. We appreciated being in a wonderful scenery on the mountain side off the beaten track, but close to services (5 mins away by car) and centrally located for access to the areas of interest from myrtos to the south to the various beaches (accessible by walking a bit after parking the car) and fiskardo with a couple of marked hikes in the north. We thoroughly enjoying sitting in the beatifull large terrace in the evenings enjoying the breeze flowing down the hill side that kept the house cool in the evenings and the night even throughout the heat wave. The house is thoroughly suited to families (we were 7) and is highly recommended. All the best, Yiannis

Ο χώρος ήταν πάρα πολύ άνετος. Ακριβώς όπως το βλέπεις στις φωτογραφίες πανέμορφη θέα είχαμε πάρει και το σκύλο μας μαζί και δεν είχαμε κάνενα πρόβλημα το συστήνω ανεπιφύλακτα!

Een heerlijk huis, prachtig uitzicht op zee, veel privacy en stil gelegen. Heel mooi terras met uitzicht en een tuin. Er was elke 3 dagen schoonmaak. Christina is een geweldige host. Absoluut aan te raden.

This is a great place to stay. Mixalis and Venetia are excellent hosts - very thoughtful but also unobtrusive. They live in the ground floor flat (the property for rent is the top 2 floors) so are nearby when / if you need any help. The view is fantastic - you have Mt Ainos looming behind and the blue sea in front. The 2 south-facing terraces are perfect for taking it all in. We found the place very quiet during our stay and slept very well in the comfortable beds! The position is very convenient. Vlachata has a number of supermarkets and restaurants (although as of April 2022, in the very early season, not all were yet open). You can also walk or drive down to the beaches at Lourdata and Kanali (the latter is quieter and really idyllic, Lourdata is great too and has a choice of restaurants and bars). All in all, highly recommend as a perfect base for enjoying and exploring Kefalonia. Efharisto Mixalis and Venetia!

Illias ha sido un anfitrión fantástico. Estuvo muy atento para hacer que nuestra estancia fuera cómoda y nos dio mucha flexibilidad para hacer el check out. El apartamento es muy bonito, perfectamente equipado y en una ubicación muy tranquila. Está a unos 5km de Lixouri, donde puedes encontrar todos los servicios necesarios. Además, la casa está a 100 metros de una playa con un pequeño restaurante muy acogedor. ¡Gracias por tu hospitalidad Illias!

Nous avons passé une magnifique semaine avec nos 2 enfants au Auntie Cottage. L'atmosphère est juste incroyable, on se sent comme à la maison. Le cottage est parfaitement équipé, rien ne manque. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié la propreté du lieu, le confort de la maison (chambres, équipement cuisine, climatisation, 2 terrasses, douche extérieure...). La maison est plus grande que sur les photos, l'espace est super pour une famille. Sophia est une hôte géniale qui vous donne beaucoup d'informations pour bien visiter la région. Elle est également d'une grande gentillesse et flexibilité pour vous faciliter la vie pendant votre séjour. Une pépite qui rendra votre séjour sur l'île encore plus merveilleux !

Siamo stati incredibilmente bene presso la casa di Marios: la casa era funzionale e pulitissima e molto comoda per visitare buona parte dell'isola. Il giardino poi è qualcosa di fantastico da godere durante tutta la giornata. Marios è stato un host disponibile e sempre attento a chiederci ciò di cui avevamo bisogno. Siamo molto felici di aver trovato questo posto per le nostre vacanze a Cefalonia e lo consigliamo a tutti!

Ο χώρος της κυρίας Μαρίας ήταν ότι έπρεπε για τις διακοπές ενος ζευγαριού. Μικρός αλλά παρά πολύ εξοπλισμένος χώρος που σε έκανε να νιώθεις σαν βρίσκεσαι στο σπίτι σου. Πάρα πολύ καθαρό και προσεγμένο κατάλυμα με μεγάλη και όμορφη αυλή και ιδιωτικο πάρκινγκ , δεν μας έλειψε τίποτα σε μια πολύ καλή τοποθεσία μόλις 10 λεπτά απο το Αργοστόλι, όλα αυτά σε συνδιασμο με την άψογη φιλοξενία της κυρίας Μαρίας που φρόντισε να μην μας λείψει τίποτα και να μας ενημερώσει για της παραλίες, μαγαζιά, πανηγύρια - εκδηλώσεις του νησιού έκαναν τις διακοπές μας και την διαμονή μας ομορφότερες. ευχαριστούμε πολύ για όλα!! το συστήνουμε ανεπιφύλακτα!!

Nous avons passé un super moment dans ce logement qui est très bien équipé, propre et situé auprès des plus belles plages de l’île. L’hôte a été super chaleureuse et réactive! Nous avons apprécié le panier d’accueil bien rempli !
