Chalet vacation rentals in Central America

This place exceeded my expectations. It's like a cabin with a beautiful private garden. In the mornings there is no noise other than birds and roosters. It has everything you need for a short or long stay. I spent more than a week and I felt very comfortable. My dog enjoyed the place to the fullest. Nearby there are some grocery stores and restaurants for when you don't want to go downtown or even home delivery companies like Walmart, etc. Rianne is an excellent host, she was very kind and always attentive. I had to arrive at dawn due to flight issues and they left everything ready so that I could enter without problems. They also provide you with local recommendations for eating and doing. The only downside of the place is that it is about a 30-minute walk or 8-minute drive from downtown San Cristóbal, but that's not a problem if you're looking for something with these features. The bathroom is outside the cabin and may be tedious at night. I'd still go back!!

Amazing Stay in a Perfect Location! We absolutely loved our stay at this villa! The house itself was beautiful, the beach was stunning, and the location was just perfect—close enough to all necessary services but far enough from the tourist crowds to enjoy peace and quiet. The security was excellent, and we felt completely safe throughout our stay. A special mention to Francisco, the house guardian, who was truly a gem! He went above and beyond to help us with both small and big issues, always with kindness and efficiency. His presence made our stay even more enjoyable and stress-free. I highly recommend this place and would love to return in the future!

Everything was great.

Lovely stay with our family. The cabin was perfect and we wished we could stay longer than the 4 nights we had. Really easy to find and close to town but super quiet place to relax and enjoy the views. Judith was really responsive and one small problem we had with hot water was fixed in under 10 minutes. We would definitely stay again.

Casa 72 was amazing, and the layout is so unique! I would love to come back again and stay for longer. We were a group of 4, 5 and 6 across four nights, and there was plenty of space for all of us. The location is perfect, every room is comfortable and it has everything you need. It's a short walk to anything you may want to find in SJDC. The host was accommodating when we decided to stay another day, and the onsite staff were friendly and quick to respond if we needed anything. I would happily stay here again. Thank you!

Very nice house. Everything was as described and in the photos. Very close to the beach. You can drive to the other condominium and then take a walk past mangroves and the canal. The pool and Jacuzzi are very good. There's good shade to cover the pool. Comfortable rooms. Air conditioning works very well. Equipped kitchen.

Doña Vilma treated us as if we had been friends for years. Very friendly and helpful. It has a very nice pool. A place to go to rest with the family. It's in a very quiet area and close to shops. They are pet friendly The place is cozy, no frills, but there is a nice family atmosphere. I would definitely go again.

Juan was a wonderful host. Very flexible and extremely responsive to any question we had. The instructions were very helpful and easy to follow. The pool and garden were wonderful and very peaceful. The house was ni ely equipped with a full kitchen. You can walk to mini marts and a couple local restaurants inside the community as well as the beach. We felt very safe and the locals were very friendly. This is a great Airbnb if you are looking to relax and enjoy some peace and quiet. We would definitely stay at Juans again. This property is magical! We are a family of 6 adults and everything about our stay was smooth from check-in to checkout. David went above and above to make our stay enjoyable and memorable. He helped us arrange transfer from Antigua and boat transfer to San Juan and San Marcos. A shout out to Melvin, our shuttle driver, and Marco our boat driver. David was flexible with our checkout time and was quick to respond to my many, many questions. The grounds are stunning! You will not be disappointed. The views are breathtaking! We enjoyed walking around the exquisite grounds and jumping off the private dock into the refreshing lake. There are beautiful areas for yoga as well as workout equipment, which my son and son in law loved. The house is equipped with all the cooking essentials. Carlos is amazing and was available for anything we needed during our stay and set up a lovely fire for us one evening. My only regret was not booking this place longer.

Franco, the house , and the staff were great as usual. I’m my opinion this house and the staff are a luxurious and safe choice.

It's a very beautiful house, it has everything you need, from towels and sheets to shampoo in all the bathrooms. Ideal for large groups as it is a fairly spacious house and is very well equipped. The staff working at the house are very helpful at all times. The place is very nice. We were really very satisfied with the service they provided us. We would definitely visit again.

We had a fantastic stay at the property . The scenery and setting of this property is just serene . We were a group of 10 with adults and kids . The kids loved the place so much that they refused to even leave the property . Had a very restful 3 days of Christmas . We stayed over the Christmas break and walked to a nearby local church for the midnight service . Don Miguel ,,George and Theresa ( the helpers on the property ) were always available and very helpful . I wanted to leave a word of appreciation for Sylvia . She is super helpful and very responsive . Was always available to answer questions and provide a lot of helpful recommendations . By far the best Airbnb host that I have interacted with . Overall a wonderful experience

What a beautiful home! We had a lovely stay. So much to see around Rio Dulce! Gabriela was super helpful—always responsive and willing to go the extra mile. I highly recommend her home, it’s perfect for a group gathering like a family or friend reunion!

We were very happy. The space is large and with an excellent layout so, even though there were many of us, we didn't feel like we were bumping into each other or that we didn't fit. The rooms have enough privacy and are necessary to accommodate large and medium-sized groups.

The house is large and has many rooms. Juan was always available to solve problems. There was an issue with the air conditioning, but Juan was able to solve it right away. We will return again. Excellent place and service.

It was nice and quiet place

The main house is a great spot for yoga, the kitchen is where I would spend the daylight hours, brightly coloured and airy. The outside space is very natural with trees, birdsong and squirrels. Bats at dusk. The lake is close for some spectacular views, the IMAP and nearby shop have everything you need for the kitchen. I enjoyed my time here 🙏🏼

great place to get out of the routine, tranquility, peace, beautiful scenery and beautiful cabin just like the one in the photos... Carolina excellent host and don Manuel a super sir... we look forward to returning soon.
