We had a great weekend here at Balai by Dogtown! It was our first time in Baler, Aurora and Mario's lodge made us feel at home. Clean room, clean comfort room, friendly staff and the place is soooooooo great! Walking distance to the beach, great food around the area, and friendly surfing teachers! It indeed exceeded our expectations. Thank you, Balai by Dogtown for allowing us in your humble home! We will surely come back. 🌊🫶

Jessal's hospitality was amazing and his staff were very helpful and friendly. Their receptionist always had a smile when we talked to her! The room was very clean and offered everything we needed for our stay. We liked that they offered vegetarian options at their restaurant and we especially looked forward to their breakfast menu. While the whole neighborhood was having power outtages due to the super typhoon that had recently hit Baler, he was able to provide electricity through their backup generator. When we did run into an issue, he personally came to our room and was able to provide a quick solution. He was very warm, courteous and definitely gave off the chill surfer vibe! Jessal and his staff’s hospitality has definitely won us over and we’ll be sure to book with them again the next time we’re in Baler!

Consistent waves right out front, with Sabang’s trademark sandy and level beach one of the universe’s kindest gifts to surferkind. This is one of the more spacious, comfortable, and well-provisioned digs you’ll find along Sabang; we were mixing frozen mango-ginger-buko drinks and enjoying them among the several kubo huts for guests on the beach. Tanya was very helpful with advice ahead of the trip, and Lorna made checking in a breeze. Great jumpoff for your Aurora trip!

We had such a lovely time staying here. It’s a great spot with very good Wi-Fi. There a an outstanding individual beach right next door where you can walk out across a coral reef with trees growing out of it at low tide. Make sure you check that out but wear wet shoes or crocs!
