Monthly Rentals in Cedar Keys

Our stay was perfect! Spectacular views from all rooms and outdoor porches! The weather turned cold and rainy but it didn’t matter! We enjoyed watching the birds and tides ebb and flow. Our time with family was invaluable and memories will be everlasting. The town of Cedar Key is opening back up after a hurricane last year and the locals are so grateful to have people visiting again. The shops featured local art work. The seafood is amazing…..clams, blue crab, soft shell crab, and oysters…..just to name some favorites! You can enjoy a delicious meal at a restaurant or buy your seafood and cook in the fabulous kitchen during your stay. We did both! Lots of fun places to have after dinner drinks or happy hour too! We rented a street legal golf cart and bikes which made it easy to see the island. Our host, Elliott and Kylie were most hospitable and always available. The Haven is very comfortable and we look forward to our next visit!

Ashley’s house was lovely! Great natural light. Cool bead board paneling. Very cool wood porch. The artist in me just loved it. The layout in interesting. I imagine it was added onto once or twice. There are two upstairs bedrooms. If you’re up in one bedroom you have to go downstairs and then back up another set of stairs to get to the other bedroom. The back porch really has a great view and we did watch the sunrise there most days. Cemetery Point Park was a nice walk. The beach there was pretty brackish though and we only swam in it once. The public beach was a short drive and we went there most days. It has a playground right on the beach which was AWESOME for our kids. We also got to see hundreds of horse shoe crabs on that beach. (Strange critters but harmless.) There are shells or something on the bottom that are easy to scrape your feet on. Also, if you walk out much deeper than your knees the bottom is squishy mud. Probably normal for beaches in this part of Florida.

It was a great place to stay we stayed there for three months and cedar key is a great place to stay there doing great rebuild after the hurricanes and some places are opening

Close enough to everything but far enough away from the hustle and bustle.. The room provides everything you need and more with a very nice washer and dryer to help wash your clothes if you happen to get caught in a rain storm.. Kitchen was enough for us to prep our tomato and crab sandwiches.. TV was spot on being mounted to a swivel mount allowing us to whirl that thing around like a water spout so we could watch TV in bed.. And the fact that the island’s lumber yard is right beside here was the icing on the cake..
