Compostela Guest House w/ Car Park, Wifi, &Netflix

MateoRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
We had a good stay for a week, the barangay we were in was really quiet. The aircon was cold, and the parking was great with a gate. Their are local food options right outside on the street and stores really close if you need anything. All local pinoy places! we did eat at Lawntaw up the road from the house.. soooo good! I would be happy to come again.

Stylish Townhouse in Cebu City

RayleneRating, 5 stars4 months ago
The 5 of us had a great stay at this airbnb. She let us check in early which was so helpful as our flight landed earlier than check in time. The airbnb is a short 5-10 minute walk from the main street which allowed for quiet and privacy. the area had a guard/gate so it was very safe. There were 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms so we never had any issues with space or amenities. There was a big table in the living area so we could play games with the family. Definitely recommend!!

The nearest supermarket is 7 minutes away by moto taxi for 28 pesos. You can also buy food and everything you need within walking distance. The owner quickly answers all questions. Tito was a fantastic host—friendly, responsive, and always available to help with any questions or recommendations. The location was perfect, with everything I needed just a short walk away. I particularly enjoyed the thoughtful touches throughout the space, which made it feel like a true home away from home. Highly recommend staying here and would love to return in the future!

3 Bedroom @ Villa Del Rio Suiting ambiance..

Jay AlexisRating, 5 stars65 months ago
The place was awesome. Checked in for 2 nights with no problem. It is situated inside a subdivision and its on a dead end. Had a bar with barbecue grill. Parking space for a car is available. Rooms can accomodate around 8 pax with a aircon in every room. Aircon in the sala is not working when we went there. Internet is good. Water was not a problem although host told me that they have some issues with tge supply. We enjoyed our stay in this humble home. Will definitely return. By the way planes can be heard most of the time here but we dont have any issues for it.
A swimming pool is framed by lush greenery, featuring a covered pergola with several seating areas nearby. A stone wall with water flowing over it adds a serene touch, while a clear sky enhances the natural light in the space.

Ferienwohnungen- Lapu-Lapu Cottages

IanRating, 5 stars36 months ago
You can expect a very peaceful and tranquil environment, that is both safe and secure. Not somewhere I would stay long term unless you just want a pool holiday, in which case you will love it. The pool is fabulous and clean. Thers lotsof shops nearby , but nowhere decent to eat apart from street BBQ or bars for that matter. But the restaurant food is excellent and reasonable prices. I used it as a go-between beach venues, closer to the airport, and for that it is perfect. If I had one criticism, it would be that they do not accept cards cash only.
The exterior of a renovated two-story house features a private pool bordered by a manicured lawn. Large glass doors provide access to the pool area, while the pastel-colored walls create a welcoming facade. Clear skies and surrounding power lines are visible.

House with private pool - close to the new bridge

GaryRating, 5 stars4 months ago
I recommend this place if you have a large group. It is a lovely house that perfectly describes the description on the site. The house is in a guarded gated community, so my family felt safe. The neighbors were super friendly as well. The house was very clean and had enough towels for everyone to use. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cutlery. The pool was amazing and refreshing, especially after a long day of sightseeing. The host was very accommodating; we arrived early in the morning with permission from the owner. The caretaker, Miribel, was awesome, especially since we arrived so early. She showed us everything in the house and how to work the pool lights. My family and I enjoyed our time in the house very much. If we ever decide to return to Cebu, we will definitely see if this house is available again.

Me and two friend booked this house for a wedding. The host was responsive and his staff was wonderful! It was really close to a bar and grill that had karaoke and that was totally worth it. The host is very fast to response and the local caretaker was available immediately when we needed her. We are already expecting to be back this or next year! This house is better than any hotel in the neighborhood. 5 stars on al categories.

Your guide to Cebu City

All About Cebu City

The oldest and second-largest city in the Philippines, Cebu City has stunning natural beauty, historic buildings, and rich cultural and culinary scenes. Surrounded by mountains — from Sirao Peak in the north to Mount Naupa in the south — and lapped by the waters of the Cebu Strait, the city is also an easy jumping-off point for snorkeling off Mactan Island, hiking to Kawa Falls, canyoneering, or visiting the famous Chocolate Hills — 1,260 conical grass-topped hills.

In the city, you’ll find piles of carabao mangoes at the bustling Carbon Market, which is the oldest and largest farmers market in town. Some of the country's biggest shopping malls are located here, doubling as entertainment centers where you can grab dinner at a cutting-edge restaurant or dig into a homely bowl of tinola. Cebu City also has a thriving microbrewery scene, and the nightlife here draws revelers from across the archipelago.

There are a number of historical structures to explore, including the ruins of Fort San Pedro, which dates back to the 18th century, and the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño — the first church built in the Philippines. The Casa Gorordo Museum, housed in a former home built in the 19th century, showcases period furniture, costumes, artwork, and household items. For a different perspective on the city, visit Top’s Lookout, a circular viewpoint perched high above the sprawling metropolis.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Cebu City

Cebu City has warm temperatures throughout the year and, like many other places in Southeast Asia, the most extensive weather change is between the rainy and dry seasons. The rainy season usually lasts from June until October and can range from nonstop rain day after day or a short, heavy rainfall that is over in 30 minutes. Although this can make it difficult to plan specific activities, it is still a nice time to visit as you may be able to get some good options on condos or apartments for rent in Cebu. The dry season offers some of the best weather, making visiting the city’s main sights relatively easy.

There are also many religious festivals in Cebu City. The biggest one is the Sinulog Festival, held every third Sunday of January, which takes over the city to celebrate its acceptance of Catholicism with a nine-day program of jewel-toned costumes and street festivities culminating in a parade accompanied by blasting trumpets and pounding drums.

Top things to do in Cebu City

Basílica del Santo Niño

Established in 1565, the Basilica del Santo Niño was the first church in the Philippines. Inside, you will find a famous statue of Santo Niño that dates back to the time of Magellan. It is said to be miraculous, and every Friday and Sunday, the church and surrounding area are full of religious pilgrims hoping to see Santo Niño.

Artisan guitar-makers

The Cebuano people are the country’s second-largest ethnolinguistic group, and music is an integral part of Cebuano culture. You’ll find guitar shops all over Cebu City and on Mactan Island, where you can see the instruments being made by hand. You might even catch a band performing a traditional Cebuano harana (love song) while playing guitar at one of the bars along Ouano Avenue.

Nalusuan Island

A short hop across the bay, Nalusuan Island boasts such clear water that you can watch schools of fish swirl around in the waves before your boat even docks. Snorkelers, divers and underwater photographers flock here to admire table coral, angelfish, and bluespotted ribbontail rays. After a day on or under the water, you can refuel with fresh mangoes and crab plucked straight from the ocean.
