Heather’s spot was such a gem! We were blown away by the cleanliness of the place and the thoughtfulness of the hosts. The kitchen was well stocked, and had so many thoughtful touches (bathrobes! beach towels! beach toys!). Excellent location with the river a short walk away and downtown close by. 10/10 recommend and would def stay here again.

Absolutely loved how quiet and peaceful the home was a long with the beautiful natural lighting and decor. We felt right at home and wouldn't hesitate to return and recommend Megan's home to all!

Loved this place! It is charming, romantic, and peaceful. It is a perfect place for making memories to cherish :) A couple critiques - the hot tub went on the fritz the last day (hopefully that has been fixed) and we did feel that, for the money we paid, the 10 a.m. check-out was too early and stressful for us, especially since check-in was at 4 p.m. it would be more fair to make check-out at noon. But overall a huge thank you and we would book this place again in a hot second!

Perfect lux home-away-from-home for our family with 2 kids. So charming! We absolutely loved it. Private, surrounded by nature, yet fully equipped ( oh my the hot tub and the balcony!! What a dream!) yet walking distance from the cafe’, beach access, mini market, wine bar. Wish we could stay longer :( Also.. awesome communication, and very kindly and accommodating with the check in! Looking forward to staying there again

River Edge Retreat

Stayed and relaxed at the very calming River Edge Retreat for 2 nights with my husband and wish it was longer. Everything was as described and explained well in the house instructions. The kitchen was well stocked and we cooked all our meals in as once we arrived we didn’t want to leave the tranquil spot. The deck was perfect for morning yoga in the sun with birds chirping and for star gazing at night next to the fire pit. It is a bummer there is no dock here anymore however we were able to forged a path down the steep bank to the river from the retreat. Where we were able to spend a beautiful day on our paddle boards in the river. The retreat is 5 minutes to the Duncan Mills General store and 5-10 minutes to the beach. There is some road noise during commute hours as others have mentioned but with the surround sound you can block it out. The wood stove inside warms the home well however please note it does take short logs. Overall a wonderful relaxing stay & can’t wait to return!

I had a wonderful stay at Kerri’s place for work. The fully fenced in yard was perfect for enjoying the dappled sun poking through tall redwoods onto moss and little Japanese maples. It’s always a pleasure staying in this neck of the woods, and Kerri’s place was clean, quiet, and extremely comfortable (beds were incredibly cozy). Kerri was very responsive and helpful too. Highly recommend

Big floor to ceiling windows all around the first floor really make you feel immersed in the surrounding woods. Two great outdoor terraces. Very short drive down to the sea ranch lodge, and lots of hiking accessible on foot or a short drive away
